Ever since I've played I've only seen heavy handed nerfs and nothing to increase the fun factor. It's still a fun game, but constantly gutting and removing gets old.
I was a new player (pve only), just golded some sets, took all my gold to do it. I could barely be competent with the shield. They wrecked it and life changed.
I switched to redguard stamsorc to keep same class since I never make alts. I got better at playing. Sustain f**n blows compared to... everything else, yet now they're going nerf racial sustain. So no clue what to do...
I feel like I chose the single worst class since much of the fun has been marred by looming nerfs and then the actual nerfs.
Yeah, I agree with this being a worst case thing. What makes this game fun for me is the log in, do stuff, log out, all without having to worry about who is online. I am in guilds, communicate with some players, and have grouped occasionally, but I prefer the grouping be a choice (not required) for most content.Anything that prevents solo playing(either through healing nerf or damage) I already spent years playing EQ with that idiotic mentality that mmo means you must wait on guild members or plan for a group if you want to make ANY progress(esp as a melee character. Solo meant light blues or greens) rather than you all play in the same online world. I would just flat out quit if ESO forced grouping for every little thing and I had to wait or pre plan every single time I wanted to play.

Rob Garret says they are working on figuring out what they want combat to look like in this game so hopefully they give that serious thought and finally develop a vision to work off which should lead to a more consistent direction instead of the scattershot approach Zos has been taking.
Oy.... shouldn't that have been solidly in place at release? Good lord....

Still I feel like Morrowind in general really messed up combat in eso.

Oh, wait...
