• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – March 11, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 1:00PM EDT (17:00 UTC)

If I understand well there are 2 servers. A EU and a US server.
Where are the 2 servers physically located? Anyone?

    EU server is in Frankfurt
    Was wrong, its still in NA but will be moved to Frankfurt at later time.

    Would be no point indeed playing the EU server it they both were situated in US really ... for english speaking people at least.
    But I heard Frankfurt and US... So anyone know for sure?

    They are going to move it to Frankfurt but still in NA at the moment.

    They have already stated that both servers would be located in the US until things settled down. Once settled the EU server will be moved to the EU. No time frame has been given.

    I heard right now servers are somwhere in Washington DC (so east coast USA)

    It's confirmed they're in NA both of them, but they've said the EU one will be moved to Europe... The big concern is WHEN, which they haven't stated, because until it is moved, it would seem we're going to see a lot of downtime during EU prime time when it comes to maintenance...

    frankfurt is ok ....but munich would have been even better.

    They could've easily launched one in NA and Europe simultaneously. Half-assed decision from an American company.. no surprise there.

    To be honest its ridiculous. We have to pay monthly soon and I know I wont until the servers are moved because lets be fair the ping we have to live with definitely shows in lags and delay. I already guessed that my ping is probably 120 because it feels like it and well now that I know its in USA its no wonder it felt that way because it is that high.

    And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

    Personally I just dislike latency :p
    After my first month I think i'll be waiting for the EU server to be moved to the EU before subbing.

    Ah, this alone might explain the issues with the server. Germany has one of the worst internet connexion of all Europe. I don't get why companies keep setting their servers there. For Gamigo, for instance, that makes sense : the company is german, they want their servers at hand.. But for a company that is US based anyway, there might be better options.

    The DE-CIX is located at Frankfurt. I guess that's why.

    I suggest ZOS moves their servers to France. We have one of the fastest and cheapest Internet around. Or Norway, I hear they're pretty good, too. Servers based in Germany is enough to explain most of the lag issues :/
