Would be no point indeed playing the EU server it they both were situated in US really ... for english speaking people at least.
But I heard Frankfurt and US... So anyone know for sure?
They have already stated that both servers would be located in the US until things settled down. Once settled the EU server will be moved to the EU. No time frame has been given.
It's confirmed they're in NA both of them, but they've said the EU one will be moved to Europe... The big concern is WHEN, which they haven't stated, because until it is moved, it would seem we're going to see a lot of downtime during EU prime time when it comes to maintenance...
Actually it's for very sensible reasons but I won;'t bother trying to educate you as you don't seem the type to want to let facts interfere with a good rant.
To be honest its ridiculous. We have to pay monthly soon and I know I wont until the servers are moved because lets be fair the ping we have to live with definitely shows in lags and delay. I already guessed that my ping is probably 120 because it feels like it and well now that I know its in USA its no wonder it felt that way because it is that high.
People seem to be in a huge hurry to get the EU server away from the primary devs doing maintenance and patching. Guess they like bugs XD
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.
Ah, this alone might explain the issues with the server. Germany has one of the worst internet connexion of all Europe. I don't get why companies keep setting their servers there. For Gamigo, for instance, that makes sense : the company is german, they want their servers at hand.. But for a company that is US based anyway, there might be better options.
I suggest ZOS moves their servers to France. We have one of the fastest and cheapest Internet around. Or Norway, I hear they're pretty good, too. Servers based in Germany is enough to explain most of the lag issues
