Game should not show Gametag ID

    Uhm, well ...

You will pay a survey from your own pocket to prove that a bunch of bored minors (or maybe not so bored or not so minor) kicked you for your gender?

I seriously doubt that experts for this exist. Maybe those who believe that all males who play female chars have latent transgender issues. Which basically means such a survey would prove nothing.

The problems is that they want me to provide irrefutable evidence that they did kick me from the group because of my gender. I don't have the ability to read their minds.

That's right, you don't have the ability to read minds, yet you spent 4 pages of posts trying to build up a court case argument that you were a poor victim of prejudice, harrassment and gender persecution, when the could be a billion other reasons why someone chose not to group up with you (and frankly, judging from your last several posts, I can clearly see why).
You apparently were treated less nicely in a PUG group, and news flash, that happens to all of us, no matter our gender, race, or anything else, and then immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was because of your gender, without providing a shred of evidence to support your shaky case.

And when multiple people provide you the easy means to completely hide your gender in this game, by choosing a more neutral nametag, you then refuse to do so.

I'm completely and utterly flabbergasted as to how you can create a drama such as this over a complete non-issue, and then turn around and demand that everyone else's nametags should be anonymous and hidden due to your most likely false assumption of being a victim of gender harrasment.

Not an actual academic survey. I don't have clearance lol. It's a simple poll survey that I will accumulate among various game communities to at least provide some data. Of course no such expert exists. It is just a game. I am doing it cause I don't mind some research for recreational purposes.

Not allowing us to see everyone's @handles will have impact throughout our Eso experience. Guild chat will be a mess - most of my friends in game have multiple chars, meaning that after a relog, someone would carry on a conversation from another char name.

We won't be able to keep track of know scammers, we won't be be able to keep kicked people out of our guilds, we won't be able to recognize names on leader boards, trading guilds won't be able to track someone's weekly sales.

Terrible suggestion to solve an issue which can easily be solved by simply choosing a more neutral @handle.

If you encounter anything like this in-game, you create a screenshot then you open a support ticket. That is standard procedure. If there is evidence, like a chat log where someone states that you got kicked because of your gender, then a support specialist will take action.

This thread is unnecessary and it is the least efficient way of solving this. The fact that we are reading this thread is proof enough that this claim does not have any solid legs to stand on.
And while you can't definitely tell a persons gender from a user account ID, you can tell his\her personality by how they conduct themselves in a group chat.

So basically, you are saying that you got removed from a group and you just assumed that it was because of your gender, even though a discussion where you confirmed that you are in fact a girl in real life never took place... how is this a logical argument or conclusion?
"Your courage... your power... are not completely insignificant. Perhaps you can be made to serve. Do not fight. Do not resist. Give yourselves over now, or be destroyed."

If someone can judge other MMO players gender by their userID with a 100 percent accuracy, then I have a group of young mutants that needs teaching by you, professor!

But if we already talking about things that could never happen, someone please show me a screenshot of a pug group chat where the subject of the player's gender comes up naturally. I'm just trying to imagine a scenario where this could happen really.
Group formed. - Hi! Hi! Are you guys boys? Why? Cause girls are lame! I am a girl, how dare you!
    Does this happen really, ever?
Or you saying that the first conclusion that an MMO player arrives when group dps is low is "Wow, dps is low, are you guys girls or something?"

I can't believe we have to say this here, but... don't pull the gender card in a social media setting, it never ends well. It's 2018, nobody cares. Can we stop averting precious resources from issues that are real examples of sexism and while we at it, stop throwing that word around, stripping its meaning and weight away?

Oh no, not at all I have stated several times that I don't consider being mean as actual sexism. I am not a victim and I am not being oppressed. I am simply stating my experience and how prejudice can happen because the game shows my personal ID account name. Prejudice is related to sexism and racism, I am using that term synonymously. Even if I switched it would not change a thing. Surprisingly, no one understands the irony within the situation besides a few level-headed individuals.

Nah. I very rarely see sexism in game. I’m a lady and on mic usually... have you considered that maybe you just aren’t that good?

Cultural hegemony is also a thing. A lady blind to the social nuances really doesn't discredit the underlying theme of sexism. People stereotype! I just want the game to give me the choice to who I choose to show my personal ID.

As for your ill-mannered quote, I did more than half the damage in the group. I can achieve top kda ratios in BGs with my meager equipment because I comprehend the concept of positioning, focusing, and switching targets. Maybe with a full set I can perform exceptionally well as to not displease those trolls. Unfortunately, just like everyone else and just like a normal person I have to start from somewhere and need to be given the chance to play the game's content without fearing ostracism.

Perhaps, instead of instantly thinking 'omg I am blamed cuz female' it might be because you are bad. Yes, you have to start from somewhere, in an MMORPG, that somewhere is guides, then dungeons. To do well, you dont need full trial sets. I'm lazy, I run crafted and world drops like everyone who starts doing trials and it is plenty to not be bad. In an memo, most of the sexism I see women get is called free *** and being hit on 24/7 because much of the Male gaming populace is mentally 15.

    I said "cheating from a spot I can't reach". How do I report him/her if I can't get close to/reach that player and I can't see his/her ID?

Also, you didn't respond to what I said about:

What if I don't want to play with a player because, in seeing him/her in the dungeon or trial, he/she was a very bad player (up to me who I play with) or was trolling, having bad behavior, cheating, etc. and I don't want to play with that player ever again (but I don't know his/her ID for when I see him/her again)?

I get abuse quite often, I've gotten kicked several times and even laughed at. Now I could either fold my arms and say "It's because I'm a man!" or I could sit down and take a look at the broader picture.

    - I often play more 'unique' builds, like a Stamina Warden Healer. <- People often ***-talk you if you don't follow the meta.
    - I am quite vocal and I tend to joke around a lot. <- People might not like my attitude or my jokes.
    - I often rush through my dungeons. <- Some people (especially tanks) might not like this.
    - I have very strong opinions on certain things. <- This could cause friction.

So, you tell me. Did I get kicked because I'm a male, or because one of the above triggered someone? I'm perfectly fine with calling out "SEXISM!".

Whenever a team does poorly or whenever a group needs someone to blame for their losses the trolls are more inclined to blame the lady in the group. If I heal, tank, dps people make snap judgments on how well I will do in the event and are overtly critical of my performance. It is frustrating to have to deal with sexism because the game decided to take it out of my hands to show the world my personal ID gametag. ZOS can't change the world and I don't expect them to. However, I would like it if the game gave me the choice to choose who knows my personal ID tag. This wouldn't be an issue if I am allowed to change my ID tag, but I also shouldn't be ashamed of my personal identification choice. As a result, the game shouldn't act like sexism doesn't exist and take away that shroud of safety from female gamers.

[Edit: Get some popcorn 'cause its going to be a wild ride of absolutely nothing.]

you know in 90% of the whole mmo its not your gender what matters it is the way you act + skill wich matters and reading this crying mess you call topic is exactly the way of acting ppl dont like.
if you are complaining like this about sexism its obvious that youre group will vote kick you.

and what exactly has kicking you out of a group to do with your gender? for me its sounds like a l2p issue instead of sexism.
with 25-65% of group dmg is good if you are the tank if your dps is that volatile then it would surprise me if your groupmates wont vote kick you^^
if you want to call yourself "top dps" in an vet dungeon you should have at least constantly more dps than tank and heal.
i mean my tank got 3-4k dps while tanking if the dds are sneezing at the enemy instead of dealing dmg then i got constantly like 30-50% of the group dmg just for the info

now as i read this thread and you crying about sexism i start to hope that you will met the dude whos asking everyday "good evening...any ladies here?"

lol this is some brilliant goal post moving from the OP and sprinkled on with a bit of SIJW (social in-justice warrior) plus matry complex.

All the thirsty guys on XBL that I randomly join via group finders/in-game advertising beg females to join them.

Do a search in game or group finder to see it yourself.
I tend to see females in gaming are favorable 70/30 in terms of men of equal skill and that’s because generally you don’t hear them that often.

The way the OP makes it is if everyone blames females when in contrast everyone is seeking them.

Edit: to be clear just in case someone misconstrues my post. Sexism exist everywhere but all I’ve seen from the OP is goal post moving, SIJW comments, and a awesome matry complex that can win a medal at this rate.

2.: Your story changed a lot since the first post... so this is now basically a thought experiment? Are we talking about hypotheticals? Then what do you expect, how can we come up with anything that can be applied in a real life situation that could actually happen?
3.: The only thing that is ironic is you using the same logic that you invented out of thin air and accused others of using it on you.
4.: There's nothing to discredit in here. Again, overdramatization... if this would be an argument with solid facts, or you had shown us concrete findings, then maybe... but until then, nothing to discredit.
5.: We agree on one thing, this is a circle of nothing because you won't learn anything from this, and nothing will nor should change, so this whole thread is completely pointless.
