You will pay a survey from your own pocket to prove that a bunch of bored minors (or maybe not so bored or not so minor) kicked you for your gender?
I seriously doubt that experts for this exist. Maybe those who believe that all males who play female chars have latent transgender issues. Which basically means such a survey would prove nothing.

If someone can judge other MMO players gender by their userID with a 100 percent accuracy, then I have a group of young mutants that needs teaching by you, professor!
But if we already talking about things that could never happen, someone please show me a screenshot of a pug group chat where the subject of the player's gender comes up naturally. I'm just trying to imagine a scenario where this could happen really.
Group formed. - Hi! Hi! Are you guys boys? Why? Cause girls are lame! I am a girl, how dare you!
Does this happen really, ever?
Or you saying that the first conclusion that an MMO player arrives when group dps is low is "Wow, dps is low, are you guys girls or something?"
I can't believe we have to say this here, but... don't pull the gender card in a social media setting, it never ends well. It's 2018, nobody cares. Can we stop averting precious resources from issues that are real examples of sexism and while we at it, stop throwing that word around, stripping its meaning and weight away?
Brittany_Joy wrote: »Nah. I very rarely see sexism in game. I’m a lady and on mic usually... have you considered that maybe you just aren’t that good?
Cultural hegemony is also a thing. A lady blind to the social nuances really doesn't discredit the underlying theme of sexism. People stereotype! I just want the game to give me the choice to who I choose to show my personal ID.
As for your ill-mannered quote, I did more than half the damage in the group. I can achieve top kda ratios in BGs with my meager equipment because I comprehend the concept of positioning, focusing, and switching targets. Maybe with a full set I can perform exceptionally well as to not displease those trolls. Unfortunately, just like everyone else and just like a normal person I have to start from somewhere and need to be given the chance to play the game's content without fearing ostracism.

Mainly women who don't follow the healer stereotype. People who shame you merely for your gender are scum with the most delicate of egos. They can't feel good about themselves, so they'll attack and belittle whoever they can to get satisfaction out of their victims' pain.
And I do whole-heartedly support the option of hiding game IDs.
Dragonnord wrote: »@Brittany_Joy Will you care to respond?
I said "cheating from a spot I can't reach". How do I report him/her if I can't get close to/reach that player and I can't see his/her ID?
Also, you didn't respond to what I said about:
What if I don't want to play with a player because, in seeing him/her in the dungeon or trial, he/she was a very bad player (up to me who I play with) or was trolling, having bad behavior, cheating, etc. and I don't want to play with that player ever again (but I don't know his/her ID for when I see him/her again)?

I had to read this twice to realize:
They did see your level, toon class and race and main damage attribute too.
Maybe they disagreed on something else?

It is frustrating to have to deal with sexism because the game decided to take it out of my hands to show the world my personal ID gametag. ZOS can't change the world and I don't expect them to. However, I would like it if the game gave me the choice to choose who knows my personal ID tag. This wouldn't be an issue if I am allowed to change my ID tag, but I also shouldn't be ashamed of my personal identification choice. As a result, the game shouldn't act like sexism doesn't exist and take away that shroud of safety from female gamers.

I had to read this twice to realize:
They did see your level, toon class and race and main damage attribute too.
Maybe they disagreed on something else?
Iol I already said it. The other DPS was the leader. I did 25-65% of the group damage and got kicked cause he was the leader and he used his associate to kick me as my playstyle is obvious I am going for the same set. I laugh at the fact everyone is fixating on this one scenario to discredit me. What's worse is no one recognizes the irony of discrediting an experience based on the other's lack of experience based on their experience. Just a circle of nothing. The overall attacks I am getting just proves my point.

Really, I'm not too happy about the feature, either; if I knew beforehand that the game is gonna be broadcasting my username to the public, I would've chosen a different one. Apparently, there used to be an option to ask the support for a rename, but it was discontinued since, and now we're stuck with our poorly chosen names.

Because it was the one incident that you placed in your OP and by these words here, it turns out, it wasn't due to sexism. G2k.

The original post doesn't contain the scenario. Cheesus. The scenario was an example. If you want another one I can give it. But I can't provide telepathic statements. There is no natural conversation that brings up the conversation of gender in random group settings either. It shows my darn account name and people see that just by hovering over me and an add-on provides it as well. Last time I checked I can't change my account name and I accidentally used up my free name change.
Band Camp statements: To state "But this one time I saw X doing X... so that justifies X" Refers to the Band camp statement.

Well, still no comment on your level. Is there a chance you were below 160 or just above that by a couple of CPs?
