Craft bag - Make it buyable with crowns.

I think there should be an option in the crown store where you can purchase the craft bag with crowns. Then again, I'm sure they know most people, like myself, buy ESO+ solely for the craft bag, so I doubt they'd ever make it available through the crown store; they would probably lose a fair amount of money.

My friends that don't play the game think it's stupid (or rather silly) how I have to get ESO+ if I want to be a crafter... and I kind of agree. But, I still pay for my subscription just about every month. The extra housing/bank space is good too, though I could probably deal without them.

It would be easier to add more gold sinks to the game by expanding bank space and inventory space. It was nice of Zos to include an inventory upgrade to the level up rewards.

I doubt it wouldn't be easy to implement such a thing to the game, but it was just a random thought. My sub ran out the other day and it's been so annoying lol. I plan on renewing it, though.

Unfortunately Zenimax will never implement purchasable craft bags, which would totally get rid of the incentive to subscribe to ESO+, since most of us subscribe just to have a bottomless pit to store stuff.

The poll is irrelevant. The crafting bag will remain exclusively with ESO+.

The subscription is very coveted because it no only brings in more revenue than just buying the DLCs, but it is also recurring and continuing until the player cancels it.

As such it is much better for Zos business wise to never sell the crafting bag separately.

Edit: BTW, the thread will not be ignored. It does tell Zos they did the right thing keeping the crafting back exclusive to ESO+, because it is that good.

BTW, I subscribe because of the crafting bag. Was about to cancel my sub and just buy DLCs to save money and then Zos announced it. This is why it works as is. Very smart decision Zos made.

It's not hard to manage inventory without ESO+ if you are smart about it. It just means you can't pick up everything anymore. Mules, storage chests (easily available for crafters btw), and guild banks help a ton. That guild thing has an obvious catch but no trader is complaining that they need a trading guild either.

Maybe not a whole craft bag but rather a buy-able or even grid-able (for a lot of writ vouchers or tel var stones) slightly worse equivalent of craft bag ?
I can see it as something that would allow you to hold crafting items but limited to one stack. So if you want to keep lower tier crafting materials - you could do that.

The main issue here is that the only place that is "visible" by a crafting station is your bank & inventory. This brings up an issue as if you want to craft on a multiple characters (for example doing daily crafting quest) you are forced to use your bank space to keep crafting materials. And as far as I know currently if you want to keep only top tier crafting materials + motif materials (without basic 10 race styles) you will end up with 236 / 240 bank space being taken by crafting materials. ZOS has not updated max bank space limit since like... umm never ? ? So with every new DLC we get new motif style materials that take up more space. Soon we will simply run out of space in bank.

Idea: how about a special furnishing like "Supply Crate" ? You could place it in your house and put only crafting materials in there (similar to how storage works) but those materials would be "visible" by a crafting stations. Materials would be limited to one stack each. So you would have like:
    - "Blacksmithing Supply Crate"
    - "Clothier Supply Crate"
    - "Woodworking Supply Crate"
    - "Jewelry Crafting Supply Crate"
    - "Enchanting Supply Crate"
    - "Alchemy Supply Crate"
    - "Provisioning Supply Crate"

It would cost so many crowns I think, that it would still be less costly to subscribe all the time than to buy the craft bug separately :/

I often think if I can justify renewing subscription when my current one is over, with all the nerfs we get. But I'm hoarder, and then I think how horrible it's to explore and do crafting writs without craft bag when my bank is almost full (400 slots) even now, all my house storage containers are almost full, and each of my 11 characters has ~100 inventory slots filled :/ It would be really good if with each DLC developers would increase maximum bank, character inventory and horse capacity by 10 slots each.

NO and give ESO+ members the exclusive rights back for free DLC content

If they give away one DLC for free / year, like murkmire, then we loose 1/3 of our free DLC content per year

They'll never do it because people like the OP pay about £100 a year for ESO+ purely because of the craft bag. They'd have to make it insanely expensive to compensate for the loss of revenue, and then no one would buy it.

I manage without it by having a dedicated crafter. So most of my materials are in his inventory, some are in the bank (enchanting, furnishing and racial style) and ones I only use rarely are in a storage chest in my house.

It also helps to be realistic about what you need to keep. For example a while ago I realised that there were 600 iron ingots in my craft bag (from various ESO+ free trials) and I only use them on the rare occasions I have a new character and want to make them some starting gear, or to make something for a newbie in my guild. So I really, really don't need any in my inventory. I sold all the ones I had and if I happen to pick up more I sell that too.

Wouldn't be worth it for them unless they made it very expensive. Even more than merchant and banker.

Would be nice but very doubtful of this idea as others said why would people sub to eso+ otherwise. I PvP mostly unsubbed and got a refund the other day because AU/NZ having issues with latency only thing i miss is craft bag when i decon all the crap gear no other reason to get plus.

    No.

or not really No, but I'd definitely cancel my subscription if this went through. I'm fairly sure many, many others would as well.

The craft bag IS awesome and is also the only serious reason I subscribe, the rest of the subscription is just fluff compared to the bag.

What would happen to ESO if so many of us suddenly unsubbed? I'm not sure they could add anything to the sub that would draw me back to it if I could just buy the bag. Of course if they did add something as impressive, then people would just ask for that to be purchasable.

All ESO+ players rush here now to express their feelings about how idiotic is that idea :p .

Considering it's the greatest advantage of being subscriber, it will never happen, so I agree the poll is irrelevant.

i like how people vote for the option that gives no benefit at all to them as a consumer but is only put in place to ensure more money gets put into the developers pockets every month because they cant be arsed to spend their time playing inventory management simulator on their army of mules.

you guys own shares or something? otherwise i dont see why there shouldnt be an option to purchase the crafting bag seperately. instead they chosen to hold it for ransom in attempt to keep a steady revenue stream. once again, this benefits nothing to you as a consumer, but everything to ZoS.

if people would drop their subs just because they can buy the crafting bag seperately, then that just goes to show how poor of a value eso+ is in the first place. and even if they did decide to do it, Im sure theyd overcharge for the crafting bag for as much as they think they can milk the customers for, and overprice the hell of it no matter how much of a ripoff it is. just like every other item on the crown store, and those silly little gambling crates of theirs.

Sounds good to me. I'd still sub anyway regardless. I'm just imagining how much nicer it will be out overland if node/chest farmers had enough inventory space so they didn't have to cherry-pick contents.

I don't have ESO+, but I am 100% sure that a craft bag outside of ESO+ will never come. Many people sub just for the craft bag alone and adding a non-sub craft bag would *** a lot of people off.

wont cuz they make money from plus and there really is 0 reason to stay sub'ed without it.....

doesnt mean its right but unfortunately zos has to make money... if they didnt they might be able to do cool things like free craft bag and dedicate time away from pushing out new dlc and crown store stuff... to like maybe fix bugs..... or improve cyro performance

It's an integral part of the subscription and has been for a long time now, so opening it up to non-subscribers through the Crown Store would be clearly seen as a betrayal and slap in the face for those who had subscribed for this purpose for many months, probably prompting a lot of calls for reimbursement. Not going to happen.
