The BEST Pvp I have Played

Was in Guild Wars 1, +9600h on this game and a lot of Heroes Ascent and Guild vs Guild.

And now, I'm starting here to try this PVP, and one thing I miss a lot, is the option to create a PVP Character.
One of the best things of GW was the creation of PVE or PVP char, where when you create a PVP char, directly you have a max level character with all the skills unlocked.
Maybe can be a good idea, the chance to do something like this, and dont need to farm xp for a character who is for do PVP, or the option to try different roles and professions in the same slot, you delete a char and create another one only for this things.
Of course, you can get a default armor stats, but you can use the armor you have in your bank.

Opinions?

Regards.

Guild Wars wasn't a full MMORPG. It was generally considered to be a "MMO-lite" and rolling instant maxed characters fitted in with that, even the PvE characters had much fewer levels than in a traditional MMORPG and little in the way of development beyond the basic skills on the hotbar.

Just remove PvP, a lot of problems solved.

We have the Sotha Sil campaign for that purpose, and (too?) powerful crafted sets.

The only problematic phase is between level 40-50 where the lowlevel scaling is no longer enough to compensate the lack of cp160 gear.

Generally, many StamWardens are created as a PvP only character, and also many StamSorcs and MagBlades for group PvP activities.

its better to remove pve because quests here are dull and grinding for items is boring.

I love that idea. I really wish this game had it.

That seems very selfish though, why do you care how others get their own characters up ? I only play one character and that is mainly because of the massive grind this game has. I would certainly have more fun in the game if I could do what the op described.

If you think this game has a "massive grind" you need to get out more. ESO has one of the easiest grinds in any game I have seen in 21 years.

Seriously, it takes 10 hours of hard grinding or a couple of days casual to get 50. Then the CP grind can be done in about a week. All on a new account.

The problem these days is the younger gaming population preferes instant gratification rather than investment pride. I blame consoles for this.
    Here since Beta.

I didn't just man getting up, I meant the overall grind. Getting to 50, then needing fighters guild, psijic guild, undaunted, max mount speed, max mount stam, all skills maxed, alliance war up, lots of skyshard hunting a more. This takes time especially since I hate pve. I play the game for pvp so yes for me it's a grind that I do not enjoy, and would like the option to skip at least some of it.

I just never get why people get so defensive and hate the idea of others getting up quicker. It doesn't affect you at all, if it makes someones game more fun then let them have their fun.

Younger? I'm playing videogames since Atari 2600, Z80 or Amiga 500, and now with near "fourty", with a 4y child, a 8-10h job and "social time", I havent enought time to waste it doing the same content to get other chars to lvl 50...

I think the option to get a PVP slot character is a good idea for players base, and don't understand why you can think this is a instant gratification, you don't will get nothing better than if you do it since level 1 char, but at least you dont need tu spend XX hours...

You're forgetting the Skyshard and Lorebook gopher side-quest, the time-gated Undaunted grind, the PvP grind if you need Warhorn, the time-gated/pay-to-rush mount upgrades, getting back upgrades again, and of course grinding for the gear if needed. Aside from the gear, all of that is forced on a per-character basis.

There's a reason you saw more people making alts once they removed the v16 system. Not having to basically level their character three times in addition to the above-mentioned grinds made it less torturous, but it's still an unnecessary slog when a well-practiced player just wants to jump right into their chosen content with a new character. It has nothing to do with the younger gaming population and everything to do with the universal desire to save time.
