I will admit to being fully satisfied with buying 30 of the Speed riding lessons when I brought my Stam Warden into PVP to play with my organized raid. That saved me 30 days of falling behind my raid with their max speed mounts, getting ganked because I was last, having to catch up and being forever behind.
Its probably the most hours of enjoyment I've gotten out of a non-DLC crown purchase.

LIsten...you spent roughly $30 for 1/2 of what max speed is...it is still another $30 to get it to full speed...and that is without any stamina to sustain....that would cost you another $60....and you feel good about this purchase? You think that is a fair price, huh?

Sigh. I suppose I set myself up to have my spending decisions questioned, but insults? Lets keep this civil, please.
But since you asked...
I already had 25ish mount speed on that character. So I basically finished out the speed, so I could keep up with my PVP raid. I did stamina the slow way, since stam was less important since I could just hold the sprint button to run fast. Yeah, it was squishy for a while, but I could get up so I wasnt alone and getting ganked while I tried to catch up to my raid.
And I had a bunch of crowns sitting from the time I bought them on sale. It was worth it to me to not spend a month being frustrated.
You would make a different choice, which is totally fine. I was impatient, and willing to pay to avoid frustration.

It's a game ...

They want you playing the game for a long time. If you got everything you wanted quickly youd get bored and drop it a few months in.
Also lay off the devs, you sound like a rebellious child.

9 trait crafting on every thing takes a little over a year if you are very diligent.
But yeah, in terms of stuff you use everyday, mount training is an outlier.

The way they have it now is much improved.
There is a really simple reason for this and its right in front of everyone’s faces. They want you to log in every day

yeah...crafting does take time...but you have options with that...you can train certain things you want most....you can hire other crafters to make stuff...you can buy from guild traders...you can level different things on different characters...you have lots of viable options with that.
Seriously...even just leveling speed takes 2 months and speed and stamina 4 months...which are important in PvP...NOTHING in this game takes that amount of time...you can literally fully level a character in hours...why the hell would they make riding take 6 months?!?! Sorry, just leveling riding on my newly made character and i'm just disgusted with how they try to push people to buy overpriced riding lessons in their store...I like allot of things you do with this game but you SUCK ZOS for this part of the game....SUCK!!!!

It isn't like your riding skill limits you from experiencing content.
