Swift is fine... just fix the targeting issues!
Swift resource trade is worth it because Swift makes you untargetable given the current targeting system and lag. I would not cry over 2k resource lost in return of near invincibility and super sonic speed that makes rock and tree humping easier to mitigate whole lotta damage. I mean what does 2k resource even net me at this point? 1 more dodge roll and slightly bigger overnerfed shield?
exactly.

And for everyone else outside of PVP who like movement speed? I won't say the majority without data - but you can't say less it's less than half the population...

What about people that enjoy greater movement in their groups, or through their levelling, questing, open world experience.

On a strictly personal note, WHY should I be penalised simply because of some PVP'ers latency, when that's the games' architecture problem? Fix that. Or if you can't keep up, are you running the same Swift to put yourself on equal footing?

If the only counter to someone running swift is to run it yourself, s is a bit too strong.

If it must be nerfed, how about instead of +10% movement speed, it could provide +5% movement speed AND +5% sprint speed.

This way the maximum benefit is retained but slows people down a little bit while they are in combat and casting abilities.

Pretty decent idea I must say :)

All the targeting issues people are blaming on Swift have been around before Swift existed and will be around after any nerfs to Swift. The issues were just brought to light in an abundance thanks to Swift. Leave Swift alone and instead lower the max speed cap. Lower the cap to +80% normal speed, see if it helps. If not go to +60%.

-Edit- This change to speed cap could also be done via battle spirit as to not effect PvE'rs

If I had to eat a nerf, it would be this suggestion. It wouldnt harm mag builds that can't sprint all the time and use swift to replace sprint so they don't have to waste stamina yet take more of an offensive hit via swift.

Or they can nerf WD stacking so you cant get 7.9k WD we have been seeing ;)

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. We have seen your concerns in this thread and are currently evaluating if we'll be making any adjustments.

Thank you for peeking in on everyone here but please don't change anything just because so many people here fail to grasp that there is already a speed cap in the game.

And for those forgetting about the speed cap, its a lousy 200% which is already super easy to hit. Looks like Swift jewelry is currently a scapegoat for anyone who's faster and is using something to reduce snare effects. All of that existed before swift, all swift does is give a wider range of builds access to it at the cost of their normal jewelry traits (stat regen or weapon power). And as that is already a hefty trade-off, its balanced just fine as it is. Reduce it any and its just another trait to always be ignored.

I've tested swift on my orc speedster and its not making me any faster, having already been at the speed cap (thanks to being Orc, armor sets, and Steed mundus). All it adds when sitting at that cap is faster walking speed and reduces the effects of snares. That leaves me the choice of keeping my current Stam Recovery jewelry or switching it all to Swift so I can trade one of my speedy 5-piece armor sets for something else. Its nice having the choice to play with my build, but those 2 options are far from OP.

For their ability to reduce the effectiveness of snares, its about time there's a nice option to do so available to everyone as the over abundance of snare use in PvP feels cloying. Everything like that should have its counter, so well done!

Please never lower the speed cap as its already far to easy to hit, and is already a pale shadow of what it once was.

Looks like swift is about to get gutted. Some people run swift and people complain it's OP but everyone running robust or arcane and everything is perfectly fine.
Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.
