Unlike your implication, "kindness" will have nothing to do with the outcome from a business perspective. No need to dumb it down, either.
It's clever marketing, probably some of the most clever they've come up with yet. But, I'm under no false impressions as to the ultimate purpose behind this push, at least as far as ZoS is concerned.
I stopped being able to White Knight for ZoS with a straight face some time ago. Good to see there are others still willing to carry the torch.
TL;DR; I believe in one way or another, the house will be obtained. That's as warm and fuzzy as I get, sorry. See signature below.- Nothing wrong with supporting the event.

They are on test currently and have been since wolf hunter testing. In the crown store they are in the permanent listing with the other furniture packs ("Nibany" and "Craglorn Multicultural"). In fact they are located in each of the lists between those two, so I would deduce they will either be the same prices as the Craglorn ones or slightly cheaper. For instance the Craglorn Bedroom is 3k crowns but has more pieces then the Alinor ones, but since Alinor style is so popular right now, even with the lower piece count, they could get away with the same price. The wild card is the Bathroom one, it is listed under the Accessories section but would be worth more then any of the other ones in there so no idea on its price.0 -

I don't think anyone has false impressions as to WHY they are doing this. They are a "for profit" company and are always going to look at ways to boost sales and community relations. Why would you think otherwise?
That being said - stop being a ***. We can have positive community event, and they can boost sales and profits at the same time. Why do they always have to be the evil corporate devil to some of you tools?18 -

Why are you even here. They are a business. While i dont like all the decisions they make. I enjoy the game and i dont expect a free hand out. Boosting sales is not necessarily a bad thing. I need cannon fodder so i can pug vet dungeons.9 -

Fall for what, exactly? Of course they're trying to boost sales. No, it's not a coincidence that Summerset has been on sale since this event started.
That doesn't mean the event cannot also be fun.
I'm not sure I'm seeing how creating a community event and offering free stuff to participants as a way of attempting to sell more of a product is in any way a problem. This is a heck of a bonus for those of us who already owned Summerset and I'm looking forward to seeing even more people in that zone.

✭✭✭I can honestly say this event is the most fun I've had in a while.
I've donated ten hours or of game time helping others complete the achievement on both PS4 servers - nearly 100 assists
I've made new friends, recruited a few new guild members, and dragged a few infrequent ESO friends back to playing regularly
I never thought playing the game over again without gold, achievements, mats, dyes, motifs, crafting research, etc would be fun, but playing on the other server is as exciting as playing the for the first time but with all the knowledge accumulated on my main server
The only negative (and it's minor) are the trolls who argue we're idiots for participating in an event built around promoting Summerset Chapter sales.
I feel sorry for such people. It must be awful to go through life angry, suspicious, and cynical

my new level 15 EU toon just made it into rawl'kha last night...i was able to do a few dolmens on the trip from vulkhel gaurd...
it was pretty fun soloing the dolmens...it seems that the time i log on to the EU server is pretty much the middle of the night for most of the regular folks there - so, it felt like pre one tamriel when i was riding through the different zones...totally empty most of the time...
looking forward to creating three more characters to use over on their vivec map (i'll try to keep all four toons around the same level so they can share gear)...no plans to redo many of the quests though...just want to have some fun trying to stay alive and fight with whoever over there happens to be on during that time...PVP Campaigns Section: Playstation NA and EU (Gray Host) - This Must be the Place0 -

Why would you want to empty your former home?- It is not as if you would have to move - you have several houses and each can be furnished and decorated - there is not need to move your stuff around.1 -

Note that if you complete the achievement on your home server (NA or EU), you can complete it on the other server for a second 'count' towards the community progress

Greevir✭✭✭✭Lets be serious. Whatever number ZOS magically came up with to complete this even is already reached. They most likely set it real low to guarantee it would succeed. It would look bad for them if this even didn't succeed. They are just keeping the event alive by not showing the 100% completion already. Yes, this whole thing was a business move by ZOS, I mean of course it was. ZOS wants money. Anyone can take a look at the crown store and see that they do. But it was nice to see an event that at least brought a fair number of the community to work together.
