I already own several houses etc, however non have a view like the Villa, i reallllly want it and would use it as my primary.

I dont really care one way or the other housing kinda bores me ( still bought like 5 houses though lol) and Im definitely to lazy to empty my current house and re position it in this new house even if it looks dope.

Does anyone know if the house comes furnished? That would be pretty awesome!

If we do get the house I'm going to use the item limit to build a small shack in the courtyard and live there rather than living in a huge empty mansion.

Doubt it, i've heard that 2 new "Summerset furnishing packs" are coming to the crown store shortly, probably the same day as we get the villa. Coincidence? i think not :P

It won't come furnished. ZOS' will use this free house to sell some expensive furnitur packs.

if the house is earned in event, it will be unfurnished.

Also, note, houses are *free* teleports to that area. And, if you have the 'port to friends house' mod (on pc) you can teleport to any house that you're allowed in that belongs to a friend. Such as, I have a friend who might need to get to riften, without being near a wayshrine. If they have the mod, they can open it, use my name, and click on the old mistveil manor, and telelport directly to it for free. It try to keep a lot of houses as a service to my guildmates.

I for one would rather spend 5k on furnishing packs than 20k on the house.

Gimme the free house and I will gladly buy furnishing packs, its cheap at twice the price.

I did something like that on the PTS when housing was first introduced. I was playing around with Serenity Falls (the khajiit manor) and realised the barn was big enough for my character to live in. So then I got carried away and spent a few hours making the main house look run down and abandoned (furniture lying on the floor or scattered around looking broken) with a creepy daedric shine in the inaccessible loft bit, and an overgrown garden with a path from the entrance to the barn...like something had gone badly wrong before she inherited the place and now she lived on the land but never went into the house.

I never actually got it on live, but I kind of like the idea of doing something like that again.

Also the Psijic Villa needs a secret hidden cave somewhere around the island and there's lots of rock slab furnishings I've been dying to play around with, so I think that's going to be one of my first projects.

It's so close they'll probably rig it if the actual numbers can't make it to 100%. It would make great publicity for the game in general.

I honestly would have preferred a personal challenge with the same reward tiers and real hard achievements for each tier. This way i feel like i don't really deserve that house. Running around summerset and asking for a portal to Artaeum, twice, isn't the best challange.

I'll obviously take it, but there's no satisfaction in it.

I did the event on both PC NA and EU, and I have also planned on setting up individual "living space" outdoors for my characters at the villa.

If we don't get the villa, I'll get the big house with waterfall and barn. Set up the barn and surrounding area to live in.

For some reason I want a house with water they can swim in after a long day of farming mats and killing things!

Yeah, i figured yesterday, that with all the clowncrate bs going on, the really good stuff:
- the tiger mount
- the first unique and new mount in ages (the overgrown flee)
- the so far nicest house
were/r given out for free.

They could butcher that for another eso live "oh noes, only a few more missing and only 20 mins left. alas, the art team hoppeth on their eu-accounts and saveth the day!"

Actually, I'm really interested to see what's in the tower to the right of the entrance. It is decently high up and would offer an incredible view. I wonder if it has doors if we can actually make it there or if we'll just have to add on to the tower itself.

There are 4 new Alinor Furnishing packs coming, they are all on test now - Bedroom, Kitchen, Livingroom (though it is more like Fancy Formal Receiving Room w/ Throne), and even a Bathroom one with the really cool curtained 2 person tub.

When you say the house doesn't come furnished, is it unfurnished or "unfurnished" bc there's a big difference between the two.

Eh, please don't try to outsmart people. Of course it is marketing and was well planned. In the end ZOS is also just company.
But if both sides - company and customers - can benefit from this event, I can't see the downside, sorry.
If we come close to the 100% and they decide to gift us the house anyways -> customers are happy -> positive reputation for ZOS -> Profit -> game keeps growing (which is also nice for us)

If you are not "eating it up" like I am, why are you still here?

They wasn't mention that in the news, but it'd be nice if those ones who did the achievement would get it furnished

If you look at the forum post under the news, at some point (I don't remember where exactly), Gina says that it comes unfurnished (as in without the furniture that a 'furnished house' of that type would have. The unfurnished option as it would be in the crown store. I don't have an exact link on it, but I do know that I'd seen it there.
