A lot of this stuff looks great. I really like the darker variant of the Dwemer mounts. The black and gold would match my character's outfit perfectly. Hope to see some of this stuff soon. :)

It looks like that promo picture was actually taken in ESO's version of Riverwood. Very interesting...

Interesting, yes. That they recreated a whole town just for a promo pic of a Crown Store pet.
Makes you realize how much they value that store.

Wow. Now that I actually look more closely at it, I didn't notice the watermill the first time, that totally is a recreation of Riverwood. I had thought they just used Falkreath Hold as a backdrop. And just to showcase a pet?

I mean, they always create backdrops for the promo pics. We usually just don't pay attention because we assume it's somewhere in the current game, which isn't an option for Riverwood. But the backgrounds always seem touched up in some way. I don't think putting together a scenery is as much effort as we might think, there are good tools for that.

I'd be really happy about Skyrim DLC, but I don't feel this promo tells us one way or another. :/

Because that's not profitable for ZOS despite them swimming in gol-- money.

That's how a business works, its also not entirely ZoS's fault, at least for the pricing, a LOT of MMOs have you paying a premium for cosmetics, spending hundreds is pretty much the standard for cosmetics these days (not that im complaining, they are just cosmetic in the end, if you can afford em then good on ya).

The Honor Guard motif looks nice, especially the shoulders, but it's probably a crown exclusive right. :(
It's the style used by Blackrose weapons. It would be unprecedented if they sold as a crown store exclusive a style already available on some ingame items.

Possibly it will be released after the Q1 2019 DLC, much like all dungeon and trial motifs this year were released after the subsequent update to the one that added the content to begin with, and be made available at the same time for purchase in the crown store.
Unfortunately it seems it will indeed be a crown store exclusive. Item datamine reveals it only exists as a crown book, with no ingame pages/book.

Way to go ZOS, now also selling as crown store exclusive an already ingame style.

That's two seasons of Crown Crates I will not be buying.

The only thing I would want is the Sabre Ice mount which will probably be an Apex mount so never going to get that.

Ugh, I just hate how they forced the argonian skin in the different kinds of mounts.

I'm sure it won't be among Apex or Radiant rewards - luckily it doesn't match any of other datamined mounts :) I guess it will be either limited time offer during New Life festival (I would say I'm 100% sure), or (very less likely) in Legendary tier of next crate season during New Life festival. I really think it will be just limited time direct sale though - because next New Life festival should give us awesome free Crystalfrost skin which perfectly matches this mount! <3

      79NHqGG.jpg

So when we all get this skin we will want to buy a matching mount. I would prefer to buy the mount right now, I don't want to wait till December :D

Also, we can see one of upcoming Apex mounts in stables - Lizard Senche :) I was a bit... disappointed.

      WEx02Au.jpg

Armor looks cool. Overall the mount is nice, but I can't say I love it :/ It doesn't blink, so the eyes look dead. And the muzzle is not cute or fearsome, it's just massive :'( "Hair" doesn't move, looks glued and solid on the head.

      CqW2IDw.jpg

Brown paws on green body are not cute too :'(

      64gTpiP.jpg

I really can't wait to see how it summons and roars. I wish we could test all the mounts!

Don't those get added as the gold based options in DLC/Expansions normally?

There's been a few but I wouldn't say it's normal. Here's a list of all the houses added since the original housing patch, with their location/associated DLC:

      Base game/festival
Coldharbour Surreal Estate (manor officially, priced like a large house)
      Exorcised Coven Cottage (medium)

      Orsinium
      Pariah's Pinnacle (manor)

      The Thieves Guild
      Princely Dawnlight Palace (manor)

      The Dark Brotherhood
      The Erstwhile Sanctuary (manor)
      Linchal Grand Manor (manor)

      Morrowind
      Ald Velothi Harbour House (medium)
      Amaya Lake Lodge (large)
      Saint Delyn Penthouse (inn room)
      Tel Galen Tower (manor)

      Horns of the Reach
      Hakkvild's High Hall (manor)

      Clockwork City
      The Observatory Prior (manor)

      Summerset
      Alinor Crest Townhouse (large)
      Colossal Aldmeri Grotto (manor)
      Golden Griffon Garret (inn room)
      Grand Psijic Villa (manor)

      Source: http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Housing

So in total that's 10 manors (including the Coldharbour one), 2 large houses, 2 medium, 0 small and 2 inn rooms.

If we just look at DLCs and expansions released since Homestead and ignore new houses added to older maps we've got 5 manors, 2 large houses, 1 medium, 0 small and 2 inn rooms.

I know the bigger houses make more money for ZOS, but it is frustrating if they don't suit your characters or you don't want to find a way to decorate all that space with the restrictive item limits. I'd love a medium house on Summerset for some of my characters, but it looks highly unlikely we're going to get one.

They always change stuff around. Like when you go to Windhelm, the area that was an alchemist shop in Skyrim is a private home in ESO. (As I remember.)
I hope it's super similar to the original Riverwood, but if they change things because of the timeline, I'd be fine with that. It IS realistic, after all, for not everything to be the same.

      Lots of cool things upcoming!

I really want that Daemon Rooster! Indriks are nice also.

As to this house in a globe thing, it's got me thinking...

Is it going to act as a "furnishing" or decoration that we can place, say on a table in one of our current houses? Then we can enter from there? A house in a house? House-ception?

Or is it going to be something we can keep in our packs? So we basically are carrying around a house?

      For a real treat...

They should make us have to "place" it somewhere to be able to interact with it! Ground, table, on a chair, anything. Then you enter.

While you're in your home, the globe is just sitting where you placed it. Should someone come along and see it, they would be able to steal it! (Temporarilly) Once you exit the house, it would be placed at a safe point closest to your current position, you'd then pick up globe (or it'd revert back into your bag) and carry on with your business. If they tried to take you somewhere you don't own or have access to, you'd exit spawn from the globe at the wayshrine they left from.

Imagine coming out of your house in a completely different part of Tamriel??? Never knowing going in, if you're in for some unexpected travelling. haha

And to keep griefing away, like someone throwing your globe out into slaughterfish territory or whatnot. The globe would have to always be "placed" or put down to release it. If you happened to exit while they were carrying you, the globe would just plop down at a safe point somewhere close at that point, as above. (Imagine the globe just slipping out of the bag they were carrying you in and landing behind them)

I think it would be hilarious if you entered your globe on a bridge railing in Grahtwood and while you were decorating, etc. someone happened by the bridge, saw and snagged the globe on their way to a wayshrine to Summerset. You pop out of your globehome a while later to find that you are now sitting on a ledge by a crafting station, etc.

They could even make a "globetrotter" achievement! Like how many miles you've traveled by globe or whatnot! lol

Why make a "portable" house if we can't take advantage of it's portability?!!?

C'mon ZOS!!! Think outside the globe!

I agree that it should look very different due to the time between the two games. (Even though Tamriel has remarkably little technological development over time.)

But considering people complaining when 1 bridge in Balmora was different I imagine ZOS may be reluctant to make too many changes. (High Rock is totally different to how it was in Daggerfall of course, but that was kind of unavoidable unless they wanted to make it bigger than the rest of the game put together.)
