Well nice features and all, but doesn't change that 90% of the houses are still useless since their slot/size ratio is garbage.

Exactly this. Its still my biggest issue with the current housing system and the most often given reason for why people are not buying the new houses. I mean, I love the one big ol' house I bought but it still looks bare bones even at 700 items. I have no plans on getting another because of this.

@ZOS_GinaBruno There are a couple of really great and constructive threads on this which you might want to take a look at and share with the team. The first explains the most likely programming issues which would cause the necessity of having such a low furnishing limit:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/420541/explaining-the-house-slot-problem-and-why-it-is-difficult-to-solve

And the other has quite a few constructive ideas on how the furnishing limits could be increased without causing too much extra undue server strain or other issues:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/418234/examples-of-how-zos-can-increase-house-furniture-slots

Finding a way to increase the furnishing limits, especially for the bigger houses is a huge opportunity for your team to truly give the masses what they've been begging for.

This is the annoying thing about being unable to furnish these homes on the pts at the moment. I usually use this time to decide weather houses are worth it or not for me to buy, personally, and item limits are the main factor in that, but we cannot do that this time around, as of yet anyway...

The Snow Globe house seems like it will be a medium house, yet to me it's size seems more suited to 600 items, though there is no way to tell for certain, without being able to test it out. I am in love with both of these new homes, and yet without testing them out I will be more reluctant to purchase them, unfortunately.

Feedback for the snow globe home:

As much as I was looking forward to a New Life Festival snow cottage, this home disappointed me in some ways.
While the whole idea of a snow globe home is cool and all, I'd really rather have some nice Auroras in the night sky instead of seeing the inside of the huge New Life tent. Half the fun in such a home is the view, beeing able to see the snow fall from the sky and see the nothern lights flare. Having a huge red tent taking up all the skybox is really a bummer.

Secondly, the outside area is very large, yet consists only of rocks and puddles. You can't realyl do much with it, it's just snowy rocks and it's too large, whereas the lighthouse itself doesn't have the best layout. While you can climb up in the tower itself, the upstairs balcony is very tiny and the lighthouse fire takes up most of it. That leaves you with only the cellar area and the entrance area that you can really decorate.

Personally I would have preferred just a normal snowy cottage in the wilderness somewhere in Skyrim, instead of this snow globe, that seems too gimmicky to me and without much of the charm of a real snowy cottage.
Time will tell if I'm going to get this house or not, but right now I'm still on the fence.

The Psijiic home seems to have been removed... so that cannot be reviewed. The Aldmeri Grotto is there, so not sure what happened to the Psijiic home.

Currently on Mac, I cannot see any items being placed

I was looking for this and had hoped the same thing you did. I want a snowy sky scene, maybe where we can see the glass twinkling above but not a tent beyond. That just sounds dumb seeing a giant tent above.
They could have taken a lot of inspiration from the Clockwork City and Artaeum and made some amazing sky for that place.

I also wanted something that more closely made me think of winter and "Christmas" and a lighthouse does not, but it isn't the part that bugs me. The place just needs a better sky and snowy pine trees, with or without lights(wish we had magic christmas-light trees), and a snowy hill with those pine trees arranged to leave a ski-sled trail open. I also wish we could actually slide down such a sled trail, like City of Heroes did just by playing with the ice terrain mechanics in that game making characters slide.

    Edit:
Hell, a giant christmas tree inside the snowglobe with giant presents underneath it, compared to us players anyway, would have been beyond amazing for this home. They could use "ornaments" for the actual buildings on the branches with different types of smaller one/two room cozy cottages within as well as giant magical lights that could be seen as small lights from the outside but big inside.
That would be cool, to feel like a toy in the snowglobe.

How about expanding the current item cap? 700 isn’t enough for me and the large homes I own. I feel like others would agree there.

This one did not have much time to send a representative into Murkmire last evening but did manage a short visit.

This one thought the Xanmeer house quite dark, which is always an issue with interiors and then you have to spend half your furnishing allowance on candles. Perhaps maybe an adjustable overall interior light level for homes might be something to consider?

The fish tanks are quite beautiful and perhaps this property might make a very nice fish restaurant.

Khajiit was unable to purchase the property so bought the Craglorn cave instead and put some of the new furnishings in there. It is a shame the wind chimes they do not tinkle but maybe there was just not the breeze this day yes? This one is most taken with the hanging shell lanterns and will be installing some of these at the Fishmas Grotto.

Khajiit will be taking a look at the snow globe house later on and expects it may be interesting, however she does not presently have any plans to relocate the Fishmas Grotto from Hagfen.

Here's an idea, radical I know, how about instead of pouring flour into absolutely every provisioning furnishing recipe in the game, we use items that actually made sense instead.

Such as actually using WORMS to create the new Murkmire worm items, guts for the gut items, melons for the melon item etc. Not only is it much more immersive than having to use flour for every provisioning item in the game, it also gives some value to the other trash crafting items instead of just using 1 crtafting item for absolutely everything.

Scrap the flour cost in these recipes, and replace it with worms, guts and melons. And insect parts or crawlers for the grub item. Bon appetit.

Also, for what it's worth, the Bright Throat item set is in Elder Argonian style, meaning you can decon it for the Hackwing items used in Murkmire furniture crafting. I managed to decon quite a few of these set items and got some Hackwings. It means it will at least be somewhat of a less of a headache to make Murkmire items compared to Summerset items that require Culandas, and no item sets are made in Sapiarch/Culanda style.

It's somewhat of a relief, so these furniture items will actually be affordable and sellable and usable, unlike the Summerset ones.

The Murkmire items also come with a large filled bookcase and a smaller filled scroll case for those who care.

Flour is free where Chef Donolon shows up every anniversary event, and not hard to find otherwise. Worms are used for fishing in large quantities and that makes them more valuable and rarer considering the new fishing items from Summerset also.

I much prefer flour in the ingredients over rarer or harder to get items.

LOL, yeah, looting those 5 barrels on the docks are sure gonna give you lots of flour for recipes that require 20 items each. The matter of the fact is that requiring various materials for various recipes instead of just 1 material for every recipe under the sun makes for a much more variated and engaging crafting system.

And also, calling worms "rare" or "hard to get" is the joke of the year, every guild trader has stacks to sell for just about the same price as flour goes for. As for your argument that "flour is free", worms are free too. They come with everything you pick up that grows in soil.

The items are literally called worms, they should require worms to make, not flour. I can't believe I actually have to spell this out to you.
We are also speaking of 2 provisioning items here, somehow I do not think changing them from flour to worms will somehow implode the entire market for bait in the foreseeable future. Do you?

I don't like quoting the whole thing. For what it's worth (and this is far, far, far from my usual area of operation) lighthouses are considered a religious symbol associated with the holidays. The whole guidance thing...

I agree with you on seeing the tent in the sky. I'd much rather have a cloudy, snow filled sky. An aurora would be terrific.

Other than that, eh, I'd probably buy it for gold. If it is available for gold.

RE the snow globe home: could we at least get rid of the huge red tent in the skybox? Replace it with a much more atmospheric wintery sky with falling snow and some auroras in the sky at night. Same weather and skybox as Hakkvild's Hall pretty much.

If the Tribunal magic is able to make a tiny glass ball into a home, it is surely also able to give us a decent view instead of having that monstrosity of a low-res tent canopy obstructing the entire view of this house.

Haha! Yes! It is so strange that we have to use flour for everything, and not a small amount either! I think anybody who decorates houses allot in the game has become somewhat of a flour hoarder  If I want to put apples in my house, why can I not just use real apples?? And why would an apple take 20 bags of flour to make??

I personally liked being able to see the tent and things outside of the Snow Globe.... It made me feel like I was actually inside it. Perhaps if they were to release a little cabin in the snow, then I would 100% agree, but it is supposed to be a Snow Globe. Just my personal opinion of course, but I absolutely loved the fact that everything outside was exactly as it is before you enter. It made it feel more real to me.

Snowglobe home: It's...neat. However, I think folks would have rather of had a snowy cabin/manor in Eastmarch with it's unique northern lights and some of the village more on display. The problem with the snowglobe is there are no interesting views from its many balconies. Maybe place the globe closer to the edge of tent (even outside it) so there is both the strange enlarged view of the tent and furnishings, and also a nice view of those amazing northern lights that we all covet madly! :D

The murkmire ruins home is....just amazing! The fishing tanks especially are pretty sweet! Nice touch with the whirl pool too. Love the ruins. Well done.

Something to maybe consider when making these huge homes though might be to build them in such ways that they can be more easily partitioned - allowing players to close in the space with various types of walls and such that encourages more unique custom builds. Multiple doors like ^these new homes have is another good idea to inspire this creativity.

1/ Was the new Undo/Redo feature in the housing editor clear on how to use it?
Yes but a tutorial (like when you create your first char) explaining this feature when you get your first house would be great.

2/ Were you able to use Undo/Redo effectively?
Not really. It would be better if we could choose in the list what change we want to undo/redo. Right now, we have to undo/redo everything even if we just want to change one (group or not) thing we made. Or I missed that ?

3/ Was the item grouping clear and easy to use?
Yes, it is awesome. I love it. But something is missing. Take exemple on some addons to let us create "automatically" things like bridges, complete walls/floors, circles, ...

4/ Did you try using item grouping with multiple people interacting with it?
    No, I didn't try.

5/ Do you have any other general feedback?
I would love more houses like the Coldharbour Surreal Estate. Different empty places, each with different relief (topography), a lake, a mountain, a plain, ...
Also a way to change completely the walls and floor in a room, making a redguard wall look like a breton for exemple, other games did that already so it's not impossible.
More stairs. More ladders too and being able to climb up as we want (like stairs) if we put them on a wall to reach what's on the wall (12 bookshelves for exemple in Psijic Villa, we can only access half of the first 3).
More global furnishing. There is a lot of decorations in game that are still not available in crafting, NPCs, store.

I don't know if this is at all possible but how utterly fantastic would it be to be able to place the enchanted snow globe home at different locations around Tamriel?

Perhaps we can pick like 6 different locations and headquarter the globe there by interacting with it. This would mean that the outside of the globe will cater for 6 different "backgrounds" if you wish.

Want a seaside view from your lighthouse? No problem.

Want a forest backdrop for your lighthouse? Just move it.

Ever felt the need to live inside a volcano? Sure we can help.

    etc.

I'd love it if they took this idea of a globe with the tent background and pushed it even more.
