What is the single most underused set in ESO?

Casul
Casul
✭✭✭✭✭
I would argue it is the crafted set ashen grip.

2) max hp
3) weapon damage
4) weapon crit
5) on direct melee damage 10% chance to do AoE come in front of you dealing 1544 fire damage. Can occur once every 4 seconds.

Not very viable for any build, doesn’t compete with other comparable sets like way of fire or red mountain.

What do you think is the most underused set in ESO?
PvP needs more love.

    Death's Wind Set

(2 items) Adds 2975 Physical Resistance

(3 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health

(4 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health

(5 items) When you take melee damage while you are under 35% Health, you knockback and stun all enemies within 8 meters of you for 4 seconds. This effect can only occur once every 30 seconds.

However, if you are in an elevator and Death breaks wind on a "Chili Cookoff Tuesday" it's pretty much fatal.

I would think it would be between the Light Speaker set and the Armor Of The Trainee set.

    Light Speaker
(2 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
(3 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(5 items) Adds 450 Spell Damage to your Restoration Staff abilities.

    Armor Of The Trainee
(2 items) Adds 1206 Max Health
(3 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(4 items) Adds 1096 Max Stamina
(5 items) Increases your Max Health, Magicka and Stamina by 1250.

Eh, there are a bunch of trash sets in ESO. Trying to decide which is the most underused is difficult, because most likely a lot of the sets posted here are actually not used by anyone at all.
If I had to pick one, I'd say 5 piece Night's silence: Why waste a 5-piece bonus when you can just get that as a Vampire?

    Night's Silence
(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Stamina
(3 items) Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
(4 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical
(5 items) Ignore the Movement Speed penalty of Sneak.

I refuse to be a vampire for personal reasons and I have actually used this set on several characters when doing the TG/DB story lines.

Because I've never been a vampire, I didn't know this was a passive available to them, but nonetheless, it has provided me utility on multiple characters.

This set used to be completly broken in PVP. You couldn't break the stun and sometimes you would slide on the ground after the proc for a minute or two, all while being unable to use any skills.

Funny you mention this set. It used to be broken. I have a friend who clipped us in a 4 man wiping 30+ people with 2-3 people running this set for about an entire 2 patches rh set was actually ticking every second with no internal cooldown making it permanent uptime and constant tick damage. The amount of people just disintegrating from damage unknown to them was insane lol. You brought back some good memories lol @LokoMatic you have those clips??

There's a bunch that are hot garbage (spelunker, lol).

Ashen grip stands out to me as uniquely bad, though. It's particularly egregious because it would be an easy set to make "decent but not BiS" just by upping the proc number (and making the partial bonuses and the 5piece proc play in the same CP domain).

I've seen people use or try to use Death's Wind, Lightspeaker, Night's Silence and Trainee (which used to be super good, and is honestly still decent on magicka toons). Same with some other sets that frequently get dismissed (Willow's Path, Hatchling's Shell, Whitestrake's Retribution, Oblivion's Edge, etc).

I've never seen someone actually try to use Ashen Grip.

Trainee is honestly still pretty good, especially with the advent of transmutation and jewelry retraiting.

It's really, really closely comparable to Shacklebreaker for magicka builds in PvP, but is completely overlooked while Shacklebreaker is still super popular.

Pretty much all of the Dark Brotherhood sets are complete garbage. They all have some stupid gimmick that just isn't worth a 5 piece bonus.

The worst of them is probably Sithis Touch. It is useless in almost every type of content where you actually care about gear.

(2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(3 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(4 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
(5 items) When you use the Blade of Woe, you gain Major Berserk for 20 seconds, increasing your damage done by 25%.

Useless in dungeons. Useless in the TG/DB dailies. Useless in Cyrodiil.

It only has some fringe use in IC and Cyro Delves if you want to gank somebody. And even then you need to switch the set with an addon after you killed the NPCS because the spell crit kills this for stamina and the two max health aren't helping it either.

It's probably easier to just take a sorc along who drops a storm atro on you

I consider the 5th bonus of this set trash:
    Kagrenac's Hope:
    Current:

(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
(5 items) Decrease time to resurrect an ally by 25%. When you successfully resurrect an ally, you restore 1720 Magicka.
(5 items) Adds 222 Spell Damage

No one cares about the time to resurrect an ally.
ZOS can change Kagrenac's Hope 4th and 5th bonuses to the following and by doing so a new magicka sustain set with fine damage will be born:
    New:
    Kagrenac's Hope(craftable, 8 traits):
(4 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
5 items: You are imbued with the hope of Kagrenac. When You deal damage, you have 10% chance to increase your magicka recovery by 350 for 10 seconds.
5 items: You are imbued with the hope of Kagrenac. When You deal damage, you have 10% chance to increase your spell damage by 400 for 10 seconds.

(4 items) Adds 1206 Max Health

The 25% faster resurrection is not making a lot of difference.
