Well, it's definitely a great incentive to get players to log in every day... so I fully support it.

I'll bag 600k with my accounts! I'll be riiiiiiich! Oh wait, that's less than half of my regular monthly income.

To put it into perspective, a hoarder like me with 6 accounts to mule all my junk will only get enough to buy half of the Hunding house.

    100k is nothing.

Then you obviously wouldn't mind sharing

100,000 gold is way too much for a daily reward(of a simple login).
Players will probably abuse the daily reward and login on multiple accounts to gain massive amounts of gold.
Please change this reward to 5,000-10,000 gold.

I am kind of super worried about inflation it could cause.

I am trying to remember how long it took me to get my first 100K I know that getting a horse used to be so painfully slow because I thought they still were different and I think I must of made it to Reapers march before I had 100K. So all of the Alliance story

A lot has changed since release though.

These days it's possible to make 100k in a month just by stealing and selling items, and that's without doing anything special - you can go around the 2 ships in Daggerfall harbour where there's no NPCs and end up with 3k-4k worth of loot, even without increasing the number of items you can sell to the fence. Do it once a day for a month and you'll have at least 100k. (That's how I bought Mournoth Keep.)

Overall I don't think this will have a big impact on the economy. Those players who trade regularly, as they've told us, can make 100k in a day so for them it's no big deal. And I suspect the majority of players who rarely/never engage in trading aren't going to suddenly start now. More likely that money will go out of the game almost as fast as it goes in. For example if I was able to get it I'd buy Autum's Gate (60k) and the last horse I need (42k) and that would actually remove an extra 2k from circulation.

Maybe there will be a one-off increase in guild trader prices, or people who sell commonly flipped items will see a slight increase in demand, followed by a drop as all the ones bought by flippers are relisted. But I don't think this is going to have any long-term impacts, or any noticeable impacts at all for the majority of players, beyond what they personally do with the money.

It isn't a good thing when the daily reward is that high.

I believe players should play the game and the market to earn gold.
Daily rewards should be of limited value only since it's basically a reward for logging in.
Also, giving billions of gold to a large number of players(100,000 gold for each account*) can be problematic for normal trading and will reduce the value of the gold currency(too many players will have more gold).
Furthermore, many players will login daily on multiple accounts and exploit it to get much more.

This reward should be changed to 5,000-10,000 gold instead of 100,000 gold.

It's a one-time end-of-month reward, I think it's perfectly appropriate. Some players who trade have already mentioned in this thread that this is pocket change to them, so no, I don't think it's too high for a reward amount.

Zos's attempts to pursuade people to log into their game. If free 1500 AP and 150 gold won't work, they just go up drastically. Don't log in next month guys, then maybe next month we will have 1 million gold and gold tempers.

Yes it is sad that ZOS decided to increase the reward to 100,000 gold.
I wouldn't be surprised if they will increase the reward from 100,000 gold to something greater in the future.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno

    It's good.

For me it will only in part alleviate the recent high expense of CP respecs on multiple characters and some outfits where I had to spend 6K just to assign a single Celestial staff (exorbitant cost) not counting all the 3K for other weapons in new motifs styles, plus colors, plus the high cost of each piece of armor and adjustments. Just to mention a couple of high cost operations in game and the CP one that I despise because a separate template pve/pvp should be there imo.

So it's a nice reward, a 3.333 gold a day for 1 month is what it is, nothing over the top, just good.

    Thanks.

And like I mentioned, I can get 100k in 4-5 days just from doing daily crafting writs on my 7 alts (quest reward + vendoring ornate gear).

(reading between the lines, there'll be a lot less crown crates next month, so the 100k seems to be taking the place of that as the 'big' prize.)

It sounds pretty cool, I just hope that much of a sudden gold influx doesn't disrupt the economy too badly. Giving poor folks money is all well and good but if the buying power of that gold shrinks too dramatically then it could end up worse than before! I don't think it's going to come to that as a one-off, but if this were to become a regular thing then I could see some problems arising.

People are really overstating the impact of this 100k reward.

For the people who already log in every day, they'll see 100k as a nice little chunk of free pocket change. For the people who view 100k as a very significant amount, they're probably just not into the game enough to log in every single day regardless of the rewards. Then there's a rare minority of players who see 100k as a lot and do not log in every day, but will actually change their habits to log in every day for September just to get all the rewards.

Also the only people actually willing to put in the effort to manage 10+ accounts for 28/30 days in the month almost certainly already have tens or hundreds of millions of gold stockpiled.

    This, very well written.

It's a just a 3.333 gold-a-day reward in the end and won't make any difference for people with lot of gold, other than covering some expenses, so it's still welcome but not crucial at all.

And a true incentive for newer players.
