There is an article in the Wall Street Journal today, titled "Videogame Developers Are Making It Harder to Stop Playing". That is how I found out I have a gaming disorder.I think they lied about gamers only spending an average of 7 hours a week playing games.
#SomeoneFixMePlease
ESO has gotten me to travel to places I likely would have not otherwise.
It influenced me to start a youtube channel, which now takes up a good portion of "RL" time

Really sucks when you’re trying to do something and 11 other very real people are waiting for you on the other end.
Good luck explaining this to your significant others. They just won’t understand.
Mine does. I simply explained to him that Wednesday evenings after work are for Guild Officer meetings, and Friday night is scheduled PvP night. Everything else is negotiable, but Wednesdays and Fridays are "me" time. I also bought him a brand new PS4 and TV for the other room so he leaves me alone. It generally works.

I've been a gamer back since the very early 90s living alone with my NES... years ago my husband complained that since I was playing Oblivion on my PC and he was at the opposite end of the house watching sport we never spent much time together. These days I game on a PS4 / large TV next to the kitchen table while he watches TV series and movies on a TV next to mine. (When he wants to watch sport he does do on his large TV, which I bought him.)
I never neglect chores... but I do spend a lot of time in ESO these days...
Interestingly, my doctor has done pretty much exactly that: well, not literally prescribed, but I am under semi-serious doctor's orders to play more video games instead of immersing myself in more stressful activities.Darkhorse1975 wrote: »With all the possible negative vices out there that can degrade a persons life, Id wager a prescriprion for ESO would do more good than harm...
