I must admit at first I didn't know what to call it, but playing ESO I have learned it is called girlfriend aggro :D

One of my buddies hasn't been on in a while. He was awaiting a liver transplant, and about a year back, in the middle of our convo was having a medical emergency. I was freaking out. I live in the U.S amd he was in Australia, and I had no idea who to contact. He messaged me back, saying he passed out and we spent a few hours just having fun to ease up after that ordeal. He had some mental issues he was dealing with and got banned due to complaimts about his subject contemt. I still wonder if he's even still alive. That was probably one of the first things to really impact me on this game.

There is this huge pile of dirty dishes growing in my kitchen that certainly wouldn't be there without ESO.

    Other than that...
there's a weed in my neighbours' garden that looks exactly like a nirnroot. It grows in the middle of their lawn and they keep cutting it down but it always respawn- ehh grows back after a few weeks. Everytime I walk past I just want to pick their nirnroot. They probably won't even mind. :D

Fun fact: most, if not all, casinos in the world do not have visible clocks within their establishment. This is to give the illusion gamblers have more time to continue betting.

Ever notice there are no actual clocks in ESO. Sure, the Alinor clock looks great, but it doesn't keep real time.

    I'm wondering if there's a connection.

Oh, hold on. Just got notification Crown Crates have updated.

ESO has been a big part of my life the last 4+ years. Started in early access and played some with my teenage son. Met my irl girlfriend in game and adopted this guy after finding him in the court yard at work and named him M'aiq.

We call it "Hubby DCed" when someone gets pulled away suddenly, since we're girls.

Really sucks when you’re trying to do something and 11 other very real people are waiting for you on the other end.

Good luck explaining this to your significant others. They just won’t understand.

If you really cared about what you were doing, a good SO would more likely than not understand.

I found out that I have something called "gaming disorder". Never had that till I played ESO.

Yeah, my SO sent me a link to an article about gaming disorder, which I promptly shared with a guild on Band, adding my own caption: "I wonder if they prescribe cannabis for this."

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

ESO has gotten me to travel to places I likely would have not otherwise. :)

It influenced me to start a youtube channel, which now takes up a good portion of "RL" time

There is an article in the Wall Street Journal today, titled "Videogame Developers Are Making It Harder to Stop Playing". That is how I found out I have a gaming disorder. :) I think they lied about gamers only spending an average of 7 hours a week playing games. :)

So many times I misread certain street names as Craglorn. Not to mention, something is moving inside every time I see the Breton street sign.

I keep buying awesome games that I always wanted to play when they are on sales, but I don't play them anymore.
Also I watch videos on youtube about new Skyrim mods as 4 years ago, but nowadays I don't install them.
Any, yeah, I secretly buy crown packs from time to time - definitely something that I never did before.
Plus I did not know what's twitch before twitch drops came out.

Computer games in general are an important part of my real life, being my main hobby, but they don't influence it. As for ESO in particular, it's been my main gaming home since launch as I realised it would be as soon as I started playing, but it's not the only game I play and even tho I'm retired, gaming only takes up a couple of hours per day at most.

I don’t go outside anymore. Thanks to ESO I am no longer a fan of people, places, or things.

    Kidding.

I’ve met some people that are really fun to game with, in ESO and other games as well. I can’t say eso has really had a huge impact on my life besides simply time spent playing.

Mine does. I simply explained to him that Wednesday evenings after work are for Guild Officer meetings, and Friday night is scheduled PvP night. Everything else is negotiable, but Wednesdays and Fridays are "me" time. I also bought him a brand new PS4 and TV for the other room so he leaves me alone. It generally works.
I lost a really bad gf this way. Thank you eso. My wallet thanks you as well. And my friends and family and prolly my shrink and proctologist

English is my second language, so as my wife's. She's not an ESO fan unfortunately, but here is something about our lives and ESO.
Before Summerset came out, I brought up an idea to read a news article from the ESO web-site for sake of practicing English.
I choose the article that introduces Razum-dar, although it wasn't a new character for me of course.
I always appreciated the language and style of the ESO articles, and I have to say, the language there is quite far from simple, so that's a great choice for practice for foreigners like us.
So we read the article and noted new words - including many colorful adjectives that we never seen before. We put stickers with the new words here and there, and I practice them when I do my morning exercises.
And I think that now my wife thinks that my time spent in ESO isn't that dumb as could appear :-)

Ever since I started playing ESO I have stopped showering nearly as much, put on 60 pounds, shave less, do laundry less and even developed 28 cavities. My skin is almost transparent and pale. I don't create long lasting and meaningful relationships or friendships because I'm more concerned about my daily writs and pledges. I've become financially unstable, often not buying groceries for a week or two in order to buy Crown Crates. None of my old friends liked Elder Scrolls, so they aren't my friends anymore. I've posted on this forum more times than I've posted on my own mother's facebook wall. I dropped out of college in order to be able to farm Transmute Crystals and haven't held steady employment in nearly 3 years. I sleep all day but I'm awake all night, often planning my entire day around waking up at the time Writs reset. I stopped attending church in order to play more hours a week and my grandfather disowned me from the family as a result.

Couldn't be happier or healthier. Mentally, physically, financially and spiritually well.

    Thank you ZOS.
