CWC / DB sucked. And whilst I don't like cage action etc at least it had some umph back. Sorca gunna be stale again unless we get a crystal blast proc or the like

Meanwhile MagPlars get at least one major unnecessary nerf per patch. Sorcs were never unplayable, can't say the same about MagPlar or MagDK PvE DDs. Oh, what would I give for an unblockable, non reflectable CC as templar.

continuing my sloads+knight slayer+ mag cost/drain + spawn of mephala hate on sorcs until a better sorc troll build is fun for me.

I stopped playing mine shortly after Summerset dropped because of how OP they were. The change to Rune Cage makes me want to reevaluate my sorc next update.

I don’t play Sorc, too boring. I have a fully leveled Breton Sorc bank mule though. Always exciting to log into him and change his outfit.

No its looking more and more like well pigeonhold back into the Reach spamming nightblade fodder class we were pre Summerset that meta was absolutely boring sorc finally feels good to play since Morrowind and it just depressing I know Rune Cage was overpowered but the upcoming changes are concerning and it does help theres 2 or 3 nerf sorc threads a day and the fact ZOS listens to the minority of whiny, garbage players when it comes to nerfing stuff so it looks like I might have to self my sorc again.

My magsorc DPS is dead. I remade her into a healer. Excited for all NB raids next patch.

Yes, I think my mag sorc dps is a good ranged DD. It would be nice if ZOS would make the pets not die to boss mechanics (vSO) and not trigger negative boss mechanics (vHoF), but that would take competence where there is clearly none. Still, on balance, it's a good DD.

I don't use my mSorc in PVP because it is mag, which is clearly inferior to stam in PVP, and also has some issues with being able to fit enough necessary kit on one bar given the basic back-bar heals requirement for magica toons. mSorc has great PVP kit, unfortunately, I have never been able to fit enough of it on at one time to make a cohesive build so it ends up very underwhelming. I can make a sorc dueler, a sorc gank build, a sorc killing blow leach, or a sorc healer, but no build with enough all around utility to play well in group PVP.

Because the class is still lethal in PVE.

What do sorcs have to be excited about?

My main has been a mag sorc since launch, so I'll stick with it through the ups and downs, but this change to rune cage just seems like a poorly thought out knee-jerk reaction based on people that main NBs complaining on the forums. I agree changes were needed, but they went with the simplest option they could find to appease the people complaining the loudest.

Can't remember the last time MagSorc received some buffs rather than nerfs. I think the last time was in december 2016. That misguided rune cage incident was not a buff in my book, it should have never happened.

I wish we would get that templar treatment at least. They get nerfed, but always compensated for it, they never seem to receive pure nerfs.
