I think stamina DDs will be fine.
The biggest problem early on was the fire DoT, which was very painful and unavoidable. The fire DoT was the reason everyone was running a resto. It's possible now to dodge the fire mechanic and avoid the DoT entirely. This is one area where stamina will have a leg up; as magicka DDs, managing our stamina so that we have enough to dodge that mechanic is something that we have to be careful about (and why I think Amber Plasm will be a nice set to wear).
In its current iteration, the biggest challenges are with the stranglers capturing DDs and with the snares that come from the direwolves. As magicka DDs, we slot Efficient Purge to deal with the snares--stamina DDs have better options, via either Shuffle or Forward Momentum.
Finally, there will be damage coming from direwolf bites and the terrain mechanics (which are not always avoidable, e.g., when you need to cross an electrified water channel to get to the next island), but a healer should be able to deal with this.Edited by code65536 on August 7, 2018 12:51PMNightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

jypcy✭✭✭✭✭Got the chance to run hard mode again for the first time since 4.1.0 and it definitely feels a lot better. The bleed ticks are still amplified if left on when the hunt begins, so it’d be cool to see that fixed. Also I agree that due to the fog during the hunt, mechanics are poorly visually telegraphed. I’ll try boosting dialogue audio next time I’m in there and see if that’s consistent enough to accommodate. But I didn’t see combat text occur reliably enough to warn players about every new poison/shock/fire mechanic.
Edit: having been in there with numerous groups now, boosting dialogue audio seems to be an alright solution for fire during the hunt. I still haven’t noticed any reliable tells for the ground mechanics during the hunt, though. I guess you could boil it down to the same level of warning you get from Peryite’s statues, though.
Also edit to comment on below: I don’t think being able to break free from the stranglers is necessary, but a reduction in their range would definitely be nice. There’s also something broken about the grapple, too. It seems to happen more often as the boss’ health percentage gets lower where a strangler will grab me but then lets go immediately, almost like it was using just a pull instead of a hard cc. Seems to be based more on boss percentage than anything I’m doing; dodging, blocking, and distance from strangler all don’t seem to be ways to reliably trigger it.
But on that note, giving stranglers a tell (maybe even interruptible?) before they pull someone and also making that pull dodgeable would be good ways to still make the mechanic dangerous but not quite so deadly as it is today.Edited by jypcy on August 19, 2018 5:29PM1 -

And yes, I still stand by my earlier PTS feedback that this HM is overtuned and out of line with every other dungeon HM in the game. I would suggest either making it possible to break free from the stranglers or reducing the range on their grapple.Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

After I watched the livestream I can confirm that the bottle tasted twice as good !
on a sidenote I must admit I respect the devs for doing exactly this 'problem content' on ESO live feed instead of doing the other dungeon and for not cheesing out by running a fixed/nerfed version of vMOS HM which in no way represents its problems anymore.
Like they say: eat your own...well done devs !
