Is this really a concern when players dont have collision?

You do spell courtesy with a U in the UK. Just like armour, endeavour, glamour for example. Americans drop the U for some reason or other.
Also most of these things are essentially pet peeves, and not common courtesy at all.

You're playing a quest, and you have to gather some resources off the ground.
Then out of no where, some random player streaks in from out of no where , literally, and steals the resource you have to pick up that's right in front of you and you can't stop them because it's in PvE zones, they take it because they too are also doing the same quest.
How's that for common courtesy?
FANTASTIC right!!!!?
How did they get their first? Sounds like you were the one trying to steal their resource. Where do you think they came from? Where is this "out of nowhere" you speak of, because they did the same thing you did.
People need to get over themselves. Sometimes you will be farther from a resource and someone will get it before you. Deal with it. Stop telling others to be courteous while at the same time talking like a resource they were closer to belongs to you.
They are talking about quest items, not crafting nodes. Learn to read.
This "quest item pvp" is absolutely stupid and easily fixed. Hell, they have several quests where it is fixed so everybody can access the item without fighting other players for it, but this is not universal and it should be universal to all quests.
New quests where players have to fight for objectives are unforgivable.
Don't be obtuse. It doesn't matter if it is a quest item or resource. Courtesy was not an issue there. Everyone is trying to get the objects. Stop thinking you have some right to the item and people need to defer to you.
"Better" is a rather subjective opinion: to me, the words just look jarring without the "u", and the pronunciation of English is so divorced from the spelling anyway, as well as varying from region to region. You could just as well say that the "r"s should be dropped for much the same reason, but "habo" just looks odd, as well as still not being very close to the actual pronunciation.Mystrius_Archaion wrote: »We also spell "glamour" the same, but "armor" and "endeavor" look and sound better without the "u", which just seems like "high-falutin' holier-than-thou BS" because of the "u", and in those is completely silent in how we say it. It's like "Coldharbour" always looks funny to me, especially when the NPCs in games shorten it to just "the harbor".

Apologies to everyone at every bank/crafting station/doorway/anywhere in the universe, but especially Daggerfall.
I swear, this game is clear as mud sometimes!
If you're a clueless n00b like me, here's how you do it:https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/269803/is-there-a-way-to-unsummon-your-familiar
You can Unsummon them. All you have to do is swap them out in your inventory bar for another ability. And congrats! You have unsummoned. Sure you have to go an extra step but it's still possible.
If you're on PC you can also use my add-on made for this purpose:

"Pot, meet kettle."
1) Everyone has a right to and NEEDS quest items. They are the most important items in the game as progression just stops without them, so the point is valid.
2) You assumed the original person you quoted meant "crafting nodes" when they obviously posted "playing a quest, and you have to gather some resources off the ground" which is obviously the quest item required.
I guarantee you that every other game I have ever played that is newer than the year 2001, does not make players fight for quest items. Every player gets the quest item they need without having to "wait their turn" or "pvp for it".
The only 2 mmo games I have played that have quest item pvp are Tibia, which fixed those issues eventually and is ancient in MMO terms since it started in the late 90s, and this backwards game called Elder Scrolls Online, as far as quest coding is concerned.
It's absolutely idiotic that an MMO which is designed to encourage cooperation among players to satisfy that "MMO reason for existence" is actively causing competitive anti-social behavior in areas outside of PVP.

I'm American and I spell "courtesy" the way I just did because that is how it is in the dictionary and how it looks and sounds right to me. If anything, it would be more logical to drop the "o" based on how it sounds.
We also spell "glamour" the same, but "armor" and "endeavor" look and sound better without the "u", which just seems like "high-falutin' holier-than-thou BS" because of the "u", and in those is completely silent in how we say it. They can simply Unsummon it. Do they really need it activated in town? When I am in town I dismiss my flappy twilight It's pretty simple as that.
Fixed it for you. What I see happening a lot is that players will finish a quest or turn in a writ or something like that and then dive directly into their inventory or character sheet to deal with whatever they got. That alone isn't really a big deal, it's when that player is on a mount and/or has pets summoned that causes issues.
It's thoughtlessness excessive sensitivity like this that leads to the wasting of other players time, hence this discussion. The courteous and simple solution would be to move away from those direct areas of interaction before dealing with your personal stuffs. No add-ons needed, just move your ass out of the way, it takes less than a second.
Do you stand at the counter of McD.'s and stuff your fat lazy face with cheeseburger while people behind you are trying to order??? No, because you'd get your ass kicked.
Just because it's virtual space, doesn't make it any less of a shared space.
I'll usually manoeuvre my character out of the way automatically, it's not something I'd need to think about. Of course having said that I'll now forget to do so in an incredibly conspicuous manner and everyone will say "Vom is such an arse".It's thoughtlessness like this that leads to the wasting of other players time, hence this discussion. I suspect if that's what they wanted to say, that's what they would've said. I mean you get some people accusing others of "entitlement" simply because they get irked at a repeated failure of others to say please and thank you. Though I guess the response to that is that word doesn't seem to mean what they think it means: I think it's not unreasonable that people might expect a reasonable basic standard of conduct. An exaggerated sense of entitlement seems to describe those who think they aren't obliged to oblige.Merlin13KAGL wrote: »Fixed it for you.
