Ah yes, the door thing! There might actually be a chance they ARE pretending to be guards or something due to RP, but the chance of that is very, very slim. You made me remember some buffoon who was blocking the entrance to the kitchen in Craglorn by summoning their merchant assistant and parking her right there. Alas, the merchant is NOT intangible, and this person took sadistic delight in ignoring people's pleas to move her. Fortunately I discovered that I could dodge roll right past her and get into the room, but it was quite annoying. So yes, I could imagine if they weren't, and it makes me grateful that they aren't.
Okay so why do you think they stand in front of doorways? I personally see it as trolling. How do you see it?
I hate this. It's like watching drunken teenagers having a fight outside the pub.RubyWarfare wrote: »4: Dueling in the middle of town, especially right next to a wayshrine.

Today I wanted to talk to you about a little thing called common courtesy. I know there are a lot of people that play this game. And that means a lot of overcrowding in this game. And I know some gamers out there are Self-entitled, to say the least. So have the decency when playing ESO to stay out others people ways when doing quests. Especially when trying to see story content. I personally hate when some random player is just standing there and either loitering or "block traffic" yes you're allowed to stand anywhere you, please. But seriously do it elsewhere It's like when you're trying to watch TV and someone walks right in front of you. It's annoying, to say the least. I thank you

Those in power only have the illusion they are powerful, however in reality, those in power are only so because we allow them to be.

I figured I'd get on the "making lists of things that annoy me" train, since this is a thing right now. Also, thank you. I fixed my counting issue. No idea how I missed that...

Apologies to everyone at every bank/crafting station/doorway/anywhere in the universe, but especially Daggerfall.
I swear, this game is clear as mud sometimes!

I've seen that a number of times but I think most players are actually quite courteous. If I see someone next to a resource I'll generally leave it be unless it becomes apparent that they're not interested in it and I need it, but I won't try and steal it out from under them. I've experienced a couple of people try it on with me but not often, and then there's the occasional time a couple of us make a dash for the same thing but again not that common.Wait for the best part.
You're playing a quest, and you have to gather some resources off the ground.
Then out of no where, some random player streaks in from out of no where , literally, and steals the resource you have to pick up that's right in front of you and you can't stop them because it's in PvE zones, they take it because they too are also doing the same quest.
How's that for common courtesy?
FANTASTIC right!!!!?

So true, so true. This is so annoying when those stupid animals get right in your face while your'e having a 1 on 1 conversation with an NPC. I'm like for gawds sake why doesn't it just disappear.
I actually wait now until that player moves on or I go do another quest and come back later.

And how will I know who is doing missions and who is not?
What about this, dye all your armor pink.
So I know someone is doing missions and I will stay away

How about purple, not a fan of pinkBut what about the people that have already done the quest before? They absolutely when where an "NPC dialogue" will spawn. Now at the same time, those that haven't previously done the quest don't know.

It is possible it is trolling, but as others have said it is more likely just people going afk and not taking the time to move their character to a better location.
Okay so there basically being lazy but again I take the time. Common Courtesy

Don't play a mmo, common courtesy is subjective, maybe you standing there doing a quest was annoying to the other party. Aside from that you can always whisper them and tell them they make a better door then a window? Maybe they would have apologised, maybe they were not aware but, good thing you posted it here, I am sure they will come across it and be like "oh hey thats that guy", maybe it was me maybe I am sorry, maybe not.

Lol who cares where people leave their characters, it's an MMO and people are free to do what they want. Calling someone lazy because of where they go afk? Seriously? It is in no way disrespectful to stand in front of a damn door. These threads get even more rediculous every day. It's common courtesy to mind your own business. Common Courtesy.
Yes, find it annoying myself then on sorcerer so unsummon it, only has it on healer build so if I switch to DD or overland it goes away. Might have it up in elden root as I check pledges, switch to healer and browse guild stores or something.Sylvermynx wrote: »SocialAssassin wrote: »VaranisArano wrote: »I get mildly annoyed by flappy sorc twilights being in my face. They can simply Unsummon it. Do they really need it activated in town? When I am in town I dismiss my flappy. It's pretty simple as that.
This. I have a Sorc. She dismisses her summon when she's headed for town. It's SO annoying to have twilights in your face at the wayshrine, the bank, the crafting stations.... Pretty much the first thing I noticed about this game's players.... SO annoying. So are the ones who pack the bank in Vivec while mounted.

You can Unsummon them. All you have to do is swap them out in your inventory bar for another ability. And congrats! You have unsummoned. Sure you have to go an extra step but it's still possible.
