How does tis solve the problem of someone queueing up as tank/healer, anyway?

Okay, fine. Only a health requirement for the tank role then.PelinalWhitestrake wrote: »Need a minimum health or magic requirement to queue as a tank or healer.
That would cripple stamina healers, frost staff tanks, magSorc tanks, hybrid builds.
Problem impossible to solve really.
This, I was in one dungeon recently there we was two healers, me and another, he had marked both healer and DD and probably queued as both, he was put in front of queue again and entered as DD. He switched gear so not fake and run was smooth, but it was no reason for him to double queue, he could just queue as healer and he would heal the next group. It doesn't solve the issue because you just can't check automatically if a player is willing to perform the role. It makes identifying the ones who don't easier though - no more "accidental" queuing because you need to deliberately select it.
Health requirement of how much though? My magplar (healer main) is perfectly capable of (and has successfully) healed and tanked all of the vet base dungeons just by changing gear, and is self sufficient enough (when tanking) to not require much attention from the healer either, with a lazy 22k health.PelinalWhitestrake wrote: »Okay, fine. You know exactly what role you'll be playing when you get in. I think some fake tanks and healers held out hope they would get in as dps when queueing as all 3. This combined with the ability to be pulled through many situations anyway led to a sort of safety blanket for fake role queuers. This change removes some of that safety blanket but it's not enough to completely put an end to the issue.

Yeah, you can work out roles with the group when you get in the zone - but if I main a Heals but I can still hold my own as a DPS, why are you taking that choice away from me?
I think a better solution would be to have requirements in place for ticking Tank or Heals (such as having spent skill points in taunting/protection or healing abilities, etc). Absolutely no reason to restrict players from having the option to queue as more than one role when they've got characters that can legitimately do more.

It's a bad idea..
I often queue as all three well because i can actually do all three and have various gear sets for that purpose.
Tanks may be more rare.
Most if not all Mag DD also have a heal spec.
Most if not all Stam DD have a tank spec...
forcing one role is a dumb idea.

I think it’s a great idea. Choose your single role and queue.
When you multiqueue, do people wait around for you to swap your gear and skills?
I’ve seen far too many multiqueue people that can’t really do any of the three roles chosen.
It solves nothing, I will still queue as healer to get faster into dungeon

And if I'm capable of 2-3 of those roles and just want to do anything in a group?
