This was/is a known bug in which some creatures were playing bard sounds, it's why a number of people kept hearing it in their houses as well.I once heard a bard under a bridge in Grahtwood... Red diamond Red Diamond... I looked everywhere for the bard, I killed a crab below it and it stopped.
True story 100% i was literally speechless and stood on the bridge for ages trying to comprehend what the hell i just heard and witnessed..
There is a talking item in this game and I just broke it?I can only think of one thing: if you did the quest in Imperial City Prison dungeon, and you equipped the reward (shield), it will say some things to you

✭✭I know that the shield rewarded upon completion of the Imperial City Prison dungeon speaks to you (and has a Unique HP recovery Enchant), as I've encountered the same curiosity a while back. Yes
You will have to do quest on new alt to get it again 
I also wish developers would unflag this item as Unique, cause so far it's not possible to keep two shields in one place - if you have 1 in bank, you have to keep second one on alt. And if alt has 1 shield equipped, you can't even have second shield in inventory, let alone use it for double bar I'm not sure if the sword does as well (dropped by the Lord Warden).
The sword doesn't talk; the shield talks cause there is story behind it:(this shield contains Lord Warden's "soul", he is imprisoned inside it and craves for freedom).I once heard a bard under a bridge in Grahtwood... It is amazing! Now it makes sense why I heard the invisible bard during one of battleground matches - it was someone's battle pet...

A Nightblade placed down his Shadow Image, and that Shade... started singing "The Planemeld is nigh" o.0
And when the Nightblade died and the Shade disappeared as well, the singing stopped

✭✭✭✭Can confirm, it's the Grevious Leeching Ward.
It's hard to make out the voice at first, as it's distanced, but once you hear some of what it says, it all makes sense. I thought it was a bug too for the longest time (sounded vaguely similar to MB's taunts at dolmens)
