Trials Group Finder!!

I think it could be a fantastic addition to the game, what do you think?
Of course with the right system, i mean, controlling the class and maybe even the CP for some trials, those outside Craglorn for example.
The only problem not to be underestimated would be due to the ZOS programmers, they have already took 3 years to fix the GF for the dungeons and is still buged and potentially improvable.
Hopefully, however, it is still an MMO game, players have to play in group; and all these commercial guilds have ruined in my opinion all the pve/pvp guilds that looking for a bit of seriousness in the game; all for random group, fast and easy, there are more people in the trade guilds than in the pve/pvp guilds....
Better to bring then a GF for the trials, at least i avoid being in Craglorn, and some less brain players can understand that it is an MMO game and have to be played in a group.

Defo for normal trials but only for vet 160 or above. I imagine people will get pretty annoyed if it applied to vet trial. They're hard enough as it is without having players who aren't ready for them joining.

Yes please. At least for normals.

Trying to find a quick PUG outside of guild for a farm run takes ages. I spend more time putting a group together or finding a group than I do actually farming.

Definitely for normal trials. Not everyone can organise trial runs through guilds due to time or elitism. I really see no reason that they not in group finder. I hope it comes soon.

How would issue of fake healer/tanks or weak dps be resloved? How could you tell if someone was qualified?

How would it work? Would it be group finder or something else? Who would lead it? Would it be crown?

How would find people worth right gear or even experience?

i dont do guilds or pvp.
the toxicity, elitism, and “build shaming” is just too much in this game for me to even want to be exposed to that environment.
people forget this is just a GAME.
they gotta chill and focus on having fun.

i would like to attempt trials on normal because i never have been to one.
if i never do, i am fine with that.

4 of my toons are tanks, 1 is a healer.

i dont use silly meta nonsense like sheep players.
i blaze my own trail in the most “anti-meta” ways possible and still get it done.
people hear what i am using and they instinctively want to kick me, but after seeing what i can do everyone always changes their tune VERY quickly.

it is so liberating to go against the grain.

maybe one day i can get into a group that needs my services.

No offense but do we need a new thread on the subject every couple weeks? The more recent thread below.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/419439/should-trials-be-under-activity-finder/p1

We already know the best place to find a group for 4 man dungeons is our guilds. GF trials would most certainly be a train wreck most of the time due to lack of communication and mostly a group of inexperienced players, but they should be added.

Of course we are talking normal trials. The stories posted in these forums would be entertaining. Especially the ones that think the reason the group failed was everyone else, certainly they were to good to be the issue.

This is only part of the issue, but very good points. There is not a means to do it.

Phage states they are illogical arguments against adding trials to the GF. However, it is ignoring them that is illogical and more illogical to state one can still get them in a manually formed group since I have never seen that occur. Would be due to very, very bad planning and communication.

No different than how it works now. All of these questions are illogical arguments against adding Trials to Group Finder. You still can get fake/bad healers, tanks or DD in regular, manually grouped PUGs.

It would be nice to have a group finder.
I'm normally playing with two friends, and we regularly gather pug groups for trials, so yeah, it's a drag, especially when you need to do more than 1 run, and some leave after one run, then you go again jumping zones and advertising. It's tedious.
A group finder would make it faster, I guess.

    @Colecovision

This is a classic case that it helps to read past the first sentence since the reply here has lost even the slightest hint of making sense.

I suggest you read again. You do not even have to click on the link since the title of the linked thread is in the link itself. Not rocket science here.

I really don't understand why normal trial finder isn't there? Put in a minimum CP of like 200 or something or it shows a message "You do not meet the minimum requirements for this trial."

It would be SO much easier than spamming chat everywhere, spending most of your time trying to put together a group when you could easily set this up. Why not do it?

Sure, why not? No objections here...

But from what we experienced with the dungeon finder it's a tricky thing at best. Of course, there can be some conditions a character has to fulfill, but that's no guarantee to get the right ones. Just take roles, some people queue as a certain role in the dungeon finder, but turn out to be something different.

In the end it will probably take the same amount of time, setting up a group the old fashion way while sorting out people who don't take it seriously.
You reveal yourself best in how you play.

If you want a quick normal trial you go to Craglorn /zone chat. At decent CET hours. If you are hosting, be smart enough to state you want CP160+ so that loot is useful to everyone. Do expect to get c*nt on-board tho (people looting without waiting for others, pulling when they should not, telling they can run when they never been in mol).

It is usuall ya good idea to start getting people from 1 your friends 2 your guilds and fill in the last spots with randoms from Craglorn.

I do not really see ZOS deploying a tool when they did not do anything to fix that already existing for dungeons.

When you have people running normal 4man group finder, has 0 clue on what to do, and for some reason ignores the chat the entire way?

No Thanks! keep trials, both normal and vet away from the group finder!

Maybe it could work for normal trials.
Though nHoF and nMoL would still be problematic. When you pug them in zone, you at least get a tank who is actually a tank and healers that have purge.
I dont know what will happen to a group finder group when its full of "anti-meta" players who are too good to communicate with each other. Especially when they encounter Rakkhat, Twins, those-3-a**holes in HoF or Assembly General. Sure, Rakkhat can be burned on 3rd platform with ease, but it requires at least around 15-20k dps from each dd, and backyard mechanic will be a nightmare with no experience and no communication.
When you have at least one good dd in a random dungeon, they can carry the group to some extent. In trials this is not possible, even a top notch dd wont be able to carry 11 people and they wont be interested in it anyway.
So I dont think it will be an easy solution for farm runs that everyone wants. Maaaybe only for Craglorn trials, and thats only if you get a real tank and at least one real healer.

I really don’t understand why people don’t want trials on group finder. If you think pugging will be a disaster then don’t use the group finder and stick to guilds or zone chat.... Why prevent others who would like the option to pug through the group finder to do so. How would it impact you at all?

    Its not that simple.
There's a lot of people complaining about not being able to finish dlc dungeons with group finder groups, and dlc trials would be even more problematic (they require tanks, healers and some of them have special mechanics that lead to a group wipe if you fail them). Veteran versions will be literally impossible.
I'm only "against" it because it would be a bad experience, that's it.

You are reinforcing what I'm saying. If you think all of that, then don't use the tool and go the regular ways; guilds, friends or pug it in zone.
