Which Vet dungeon group composition is preferred

So the game gives only one option for a group, which option would you prefer for most dungeon groups (veteran content). Not individual dungeons, but if you queued with a group which would you be happiest with, before you knew which veteran dungeon you are doing.

    Going in blind, I would pick 1 tank, 3 DPS. Bring your own heals, but mNB or two helps out on that front.

    I’d bring a tank in case we got something like vBRF where it helps to have a tank so the DPS don’t have to heal with some of the hard hitting mechanics.

    Depends on the dungeon really. There is no blanket answer.

    Edit: i know the OP says "most" but most of the dungeons are stupid easy so its skewed.

    Hey don’t get me wrong, an extra DPS would reduce queues.

    I don’t understand how games like this and SWTOR could have watched what happened in WOW and thought “those DPS have massively longer queues than tanks or healers, you know what would be great, let’s give even less slots to DPS players”.

    Maybe it was just because both games were made with the devs thinking an ideal group is one of each base class.

    The preference will be based on the group and the content.

    Some groups can easily do some dungeons with 4 dps and other dungeons with 3 dps and a tank. Other groups will need the full trinity for everything.

    Really depends on the dungeon.

    Each dungeon requires differing amounts of effort and skill from healers or tanks, and some dungeons have more DPS checks than others.

    It’s also fairly easy to go full dps as a healer, much more cross over with stats.

    Pug? No way would I sacrifice a support for another dps. I really do not trust people to not stand in red after one very tedious vfg2.

    Guild? 3 dps is fine. Support can be a healer, tank, or healer with a taunt. If the dps aren't brain dead it makes for a very fast, easy run.

    There are five base classes now. Time to update the game to allow "one of each base class".

    Depends on the dungeon. For DLC and level II dungeons, traditional setup is preferred. For all other dungeons, 4x DPS. Even DLC and level II can be done fairly easily with 4x DPS, but it's more comfortable with a healer and tank.

    3 dd 1 tank no healer if its a non dlc vet dungeon. the vet dungeons you often need a healer too although if you have alot of classes with HOTS and passive healing like mag nbs for example or stam sorcs then you dont need it as much even then.

    Wasn't everyone complaining about DPS that queue as healers or tanks? Now we don't need healers or tanks?

    3 DPS is a bit low, I think you've meant 3 DDs.

    "When your DPS is not doing a certain DPS, then your DPS wont get pass the DPS-check of the dungeon"

    2dps, 1healer, 1tank. Can't trust randoms to pull good dps, follow mechanics or survive on their own

    Guild/friends
    3 dps, 1 tank. This was our setup for getting all the dlc dungeon challenger achievments(no death, hm, speed) and worked much better than having a healer around
