Which Vet dungeon group composition is preferred

Is the goal then only a race to finish the pledge as quickly as possible for keys and helms? I agree it's faster, but I also see groups run through so fast they miss chests. I used to do all 3 pledges on vet HM daily for months and realized later I'd missed many achievements (had never really looked at 'em) 'cause the groups kept skipping mini-bosses. I get a lot of players want to get through content as fast as possible. I enjoy it more when it's not a race to the finish.

I rarely find a pug where healers aren't needed, and in that rare instance where that's the case, I just switch to DPS skills.

As it is, in the typical pug, I'm pulling 30-40% of overall damage in full healer mode. Sad.

No Healer, 3 DPS, 1 Tank

Its depends but if it's with my friends we have done every vet dungeon a lot faster 3 dps and one really good tank. The dps is magic base so we have shields and heals on our bars and enough synergies for the tank. Healer just feels like a weak dps that is over healing and not doing much.

I made a healer awhile back thinking it would help but the slight increase from bluffs like spc and shards to tank just not needed. In fact we found the tank doing better with 3 dps bc the bosses die a lot faster given him less strain on resources.

No all dungeons can be completed by 4 DDs or 3 DDs & one healer since some of the bosses and even the mobs hit like a truck. I did vICP once with 3 DDs and a healer and it was really messy. I wouldn't even imagine how the new ones would work out. The only exception is vWGT which would actually be quicker with 4 DDs, since none of the bosses hit particularly hard in one go, and most fights are actually DPS races (ex. Inhibitor).
