I don't think that developers will make a set entirely useless, which is one of selling points which is supposed to attract more buyers to purchase Summerset expansion.I would recommend waiting and see how it will turn out to be.
However if someone was considering crafting Sload set, perhaps it would be a great moment to reconsider and wait till the next update arrives.
(Now assuming that the next update is really the next following and not the actual balance update coming a few months later.)
EVERYTIME zos nerfed something they made it totally useless (like stygian)

They should have looked at balancing classes better instead of nerfing a set that will barely change anything. Bad players aren't going to suddenly become good just because a set is nerfed.
Probably because its subscription based so at least they give a damn about gameplay and performance. Aka they dont introduce a new reskined sloads every 3 months just to milk money out of it at the expense of gameplay and performance.

It 100% is.NTclaymore wrote: »So if enough people or actully a few people because the amount of people on the forums aint that many can band together we can get any set nerfed? Any ideas for the next one? im thinking something abit pointless.. ermm.. Julianos? yes. Its overpreforming. Plz nerf.
There is a difference between a set that's not even Bis and a completely overperfoming set
Well, julianos is surprisingly close to BiS for PvE when doing some math and tests
But for real, it is

Another waste of a set. (It’s not even that good right now).
DRAGON_KILLER_HUNTER wrote: »would love if you could take a look into duroks bane too...
but why, the 3rd gear effect is awful, and the 4th is also pretty poor, the only thing the 5 pc adds is 100% upkeep on major defile, which if you used sword and shield, or bow, you already had
Zaan, Caluurion, and Skoria need to be adjusted as well.
You are clearly one of those 6-7 I mentioned above.
You appear literally on every single PvP nerf thread. And you follow my prediction too: Sload has not been nerfed yet but you already pre-call nerf on something else already.
And - punctual like death - you call nerf on two sets that will make PvE miserable for many. Dammit, Skoria is in game since how many years and it's not BiS in any way? And you still manage to call nerf on it!
because all These sets are overperforming, you said you don't pvp yet you know how Things work out? that's not how this works
I PvE a LOT and you know it, since you run trials with me.
And you know what?
If PvP balance did not ruin PvE I'd not even read PvP threads. I'd just leave the nerf <anything> threads alone.
But no. Nerfing Skoria affects my PvE. Nerfin Zaan affects my PvE. Nerfing shields affects ALL my PvE including outdoor bosses killing and similar. Nerfing crystal frags ruined some most awesome gameplay I could play solo in videos I'll never be able to record again with its current garbage status.
So I am against all nerfs, even nerfs that will greatly help my class (like sloads nerf), because they end up ruining my and many others PvE gameplay.
As for the "overperforming" meme, there is ALWAYS an overperforming set / skill / class and always will be.
Because whatever ZOS will do, once you kill the top set / skill / class there will be a second one, and a third one and so on, because there's always some small or large inequality across the board.
What this attitude has caused is to make ESO a bland boring game where classes become more and more copycats and where we play more and more non-class-specific skills because classes signatures are now made useless due to perma-nerfing attitude.
I've been closed beta tester for most MMOs (ESO included) and I am closed beta tester for a new "PvP everywhere, permadeath" incoming MMO. If ESO keeps getting devastated left and right, I may as well move my hopes on that MMO. New MMOs are the only ones untainted by "balance" and "overperforming" threads.
Games should not even have forums, they only bring the toxic and the complaining to ruin the game.

I play BG's a LOT and guess what? The only time Sload's kills me is if i'm out of stam.
There's a really easy counter to Sload's. Are you ready for it...... SLOT A HEAL!!! Wow, so revolutionary i know. Something you can't shield through causes pure sorc panic.
Stealth is broken by DOT's and so it should or else mNB's would never die as they'd constantly run away (can't blame them).
I also love how mag sorcs want to talk about "balance" only when it adversely affects you. You have an undodgable stun, a double execute (active and passive), high mobility and access to 3 shields that can cover double your health bar..... please all you sorcs explain why ZOS shouldn't balance you now?
Simple balance patch: Nerf Sload's to the ground and make it so that damage shields do NOT stack. Simple, and everyone can then be more balanced....
As we currently stand unless you run a strong heavy dot build or a bleed build then a stam against a sorc is highly out of balance. On stam DK i nuke sorcs out of existence, on other stam toons it's like good sorcs literally cannot be touched.
i advice reading this post here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/394278/pve-pvp-nerfs#latest
that sums up that most nerfs come from both sides of the game

I'm talking specifically about ths set being nerfed when literally the biggest sources of game imbalance pass by unphased patch after patch.
No stun in this game should be undodgable unless it's a huge AoE type ultimate like DBoS, Leap, Permafrost etc. Rune Cage and Petrify should be able to be dodged.
Stop shields from stacking and there would be no need for sets like Sload's, Shieldbreaker etc.
Making it so shields don't stack has 0 difference in PvE except in vMA where some sorcs will run hardened and healing ward.

Gina said next update, not patch maintenance.
And next update will be in 3 months.
So I will enjoy my sload until then.

But this set exactly is for the solo player.
What do you people mean by "balance". I've been on ESO for about 3 years now, and all I read is people whining about certain abilities, skills, equipment, then that particular thing gets nerfed. This does NOTHING to create "balance". All this appeasing does, is satiate a group of people at that particular time...who can't understand the dynamics of their own equipment, have not fully realized, have not used it enough, and maybe just don't want to change and would rather rant about how bad a piece of equipment is because they are frustrated it can do more dmg than what they would want--or maybe too cheap to buy the set themselves.
I've been PvPing in Cyro with probably 5 people using sloads on me and you know what...I just make sure to move out of their way, attack, move, attack. And guess what...they die.
Sloads was actually great for PVE, so too bad a nice set will be completely worthless thanks to people who don't know how to avoid situations.
My recommendation to ZOS: Don't nerf this set for PVE experiences. If you really have to nerf this set, do it only for PVP.
This appeasing particular crowds of people who simply whine and complain, is only going to make this game more troublesome, less fun, and people are not going to spend their money because they'll be afraid what they bought will be extinct in a month.
