Reminds me of EQ2, that game had a rat like race. When one of those npcs would encounter a player troll or ogre they'd make comment about how you shouldn't eat them because of too many little bones and not enough meat.

✭✭✭I'm kind of vexed by a few of the anti-SJW replies this thread has had. Are we playing the same game? This is a game that has LGBT people as a normal part of the world, the Tamrielic take on the Alt-Right (the Veiled Heritance) are the primary targets of the Aldmeri Dominion quest line.
ZOS are cool people, they understand that people have feelings and are traumatised about things. I mean, if I were someone whose kid had been killed by someone, I'd be upset by a name like that as well. It's all about sensitivity and empathy, which sadly some people are sorely lacking in. There are many quests in ESO though that suggest that the people at ZOS aren't. Which I've often felt genuinely pleased about.
Consider the questline with Velsa and Narahni in the Thieves Guild, too. There's sensitivity all over ESO and it's one of the game's most endearing features. I frankly love that they're a bunch of big, feelsy babies. I've talked about it before in another thread. It makes me happy.
If you want far right freedoms to screw people up and traumatise them? You're probably playing the wrong game.
I mean, you do realise how a name like that would affect someone who's experienced child loss via kidnapping or similar, right???

Rain_Greyraven✭✭✭✭✭We had some forced name changes in our guild as well, it got to the point that where the standing guild rule is your character must have a name that fits in Elder Scrolls lore, and isn't offensive....trust me you don't want them to ask you to change it twice....you may not be playing the game after that, or you could lose that character.

This lore has been around way before the progressive movement, so if you think that summerset is speaking to current times you are incorrect, and if you think that Zenimax has some veiled progressive agenda you are also incorrect....they actually split ideologies pretty much down the middle and that is good on them
Also this is Tamriel there are seldom good guys because good is a point of view and even when there are they don't always win.
Elder scrolls has always been forward thinking ever since Arena.....but they also often show more conservative viewpoints and not in a twirly (all conservatives are evil) mustache sort of way, racism in Tamriel knows no color or species for that matter which makes it believable.
Anyway if you have a name you think might get pulled go ahead and change it...once the GM's know your name...bad things start happening to your character.

Taternater✭✭✭In ESO there's murder, thievery, demonic daedra invading Tamriel, Not-nice-either Tamrielians invading Coldharbour, there's smoking, black magic, female orcs, and all sorts of bad things. But one thing it doesn't have is small children. Why? Well small children are kinda annoying. They're fine if they're yours, but someone else's small child is probably going to give your kid chicken pox at school. When I was in kindergarden I caught the chicken pox and spread it to all the kids in class. One of my classmates had a sister who was going to go to the prom but couldn't because she caught chicken pox from her little brother who caught it from me. Well I admit that there's a feeling of victory if your kid infects the entire class and their family members at their homes with the chicken pox, but when another kid does it to you it's terrible.
Or maybe they're going to do what they did with Skyrim and make adoption a DLC? Just a theory.3 -
