If you use mines it relieves so much pressure when fighting stamblades it actually will allow you to basically just keep one shield up saving you so much magicka in the long run. In my opinion it turns the fight in your favor

Mines don't deter my Stamblade from killing the mine users and I run non-Fortified Brass MA. Sorcs who feel that they are safe with mines around them end up cc'd and dead in most cases I witnessed or have done so myself.
in my opinion but from stamblade perpective..mainle cancer proc sets are most powerfull on any class but mostly nb with option to cloak away have the biggest advantage usiing them, especially on dots
for me as stamnb other nbs arent problem until they use mark on me
for me most powerfull enemies are stamplars who just litearally can spam purify to cleanse from many dots as they dont use magica for anything else so any dot is usless on them like even incap lol
and also ver powerfull are just wardens tankly as dk if stam aor tankyl with healboting like magplar if they are on amgice and with it they have very high mobility with also big burst potential
stams sorc is also on way with just dot fest + hurricane and spin to win as people calling that steel tornado :v
EDIt: forgot about tankly mag dk also dot spamfest and almost free very nice heal in melee range on enemy but it have biggerr disadvantage to rest which I mentioned as magdk only of them dont have that good mobility

That's a sorc that's either not very experienced or doesn't understand game mechanics. Mines are actually kind of op for kiting melee opponents. You can cc a sorc but they can just break free. Mines pretty much stops combos with root spam. If you are using mines a player should not be able to apply consistent melee pressure on you if you are utilizing mines correctly. Just because you are in mines doesn't mean you don't keep a shield up. As long as you just simply back out of melee range every time your opponent hits a mine a player can not chain together attacks on you. Mines deal decent damage as well. The weakness of mines are that a lot of times you are forced to be more mobile and mines kind of force you to be stationary to be effective. They are pretty strong in choke points though.

And you don't think NBs somehow can't deal with mines if 'Sorcs can just break free'? If NB still doesn't want to just take mine damage in, they can always orient themselves in between mines and hit the sorc. It's been done before or force the Sorc out of mines before/after mines are armed which also is done. Only real defense is shield and that can be just torn through or waited out. NB still has the advantage over Sorc and Sorc defense is quite predictable. Against mNB, they might last longer due to lower damage until Fear -> Meteor/Assassin's Will and Harness Magicka if running that. But it is almost always lobsided in favor of NBs unless the player skill discrepancy is there by a huge margin.

I unno. My last two 1v1 NB encounters in Vivec went like this: 1st NB had 150 more CP than me. I was solo; so, I suppose I made a good gank target. We 1v1ed for about 5 minutes. He threw everything at me but the kitchen sink. I healed through all of it. He lost. (I was on my magdk).
Second encounter was some NB about same CP as me. He was hiding between some rocks where I decide to sneak into to buff back up because I didn’t want to buff up and break stealth. So, there I am hitting cauterize, fragmented shield, and volatile armor (which broke HIM out of stealth lol). I even sheathed my weapons, thinking “how cool as that! We picked the same spot to hide! Lol!” But, NO! He wanted to fight. I burned him down.
I can only ASSUME that they were magblades. I unno. But when I encounter a solo NB on my magdk and it becomes a 1v1, I expect to win. 750 CP? Way to grind that out lol.

CP level do not indicate the skill level of player. I've seen people with 300 CP below me better than me. And I've seen people with 1.1k or so CP with horrid gameplay as well. Equal skill level fights are in favor of Stamblade.

Stamplars only weakness is sustain, which is literally the easiest weakness to build around considering their primary attack only has to be activated like once every 4 seconds. A good player can play well with any of the classes, but for a bad player to do so, this is only possible on a Stamplar.
