Common, there must be at least someone in light armor full divines and 11k HP who got one shotted by a Fury / 7th stam DK and thought to himself that the spec was OP.
... Just one? Pretty please?
I was just trying to spice up the poll and make it a little funnier by adding the common reasons while people complain about individual classes. I don’t see how it’s one sided.dwemer_paleologist wrote: »biased poll, one sided to the thread creators opinions.
1. Damage has ramped up so high that shields can't contain it anymore without being 100% defensive.. Then you run out of resources. Used to be possible to put up a stack and fight back for a cool down or 2. Now you put up hardened and its all but down before you can cast harness, so you need your strongest shield again - hardened... Vicious cycle till oom or cc wrecks you.
2. So much avoidance from stamblades that sorc burst is difficult to set up on them.
3. Used to be able to force them on the defensive much more often too, but need a burst rotation to make it happen. See 1. And 2. Since stamblade burst is frontloaded vs sorcs delayed, see 1.
Therefore, once the NB starts attacking, he just needs to keep the pressure up...
4. Stealth mechanics means they mostly start the fight by getting the first hit in and you start the fight on the defensive.. See 3.
5. Strong disengage/instaburst forcing to constantly shield, running you dry.. So even if you get the upper hand... See 4.
The advantage a sorc used to have was before 1. Was a thing.. Allowing you to slowly gain the initiative back. NB could still do 5. To regain it, but you always had a chance to take it back again.

If you use mines it relieves so much pressure when fighting stamblades it actually will allow you to basically just keep one shield up saving you so much magicka in the long run. In my opinion it turns the fight in your favor
watch krothas stream, enough said.
They changed the shade for example.. it used to take a little bit of skill to use i guess... now every stamblade uses it. Today i was fighting a stamblade who was at <10% health, he dodged 5 of my executes, he used shade, cloak and came back full health and incapped me so i had to go full defense mode. That all in like 4/5 seconds.
Bless releases tomorrow... hopefully that will be good so i can play that for atleast a patch until Zenimax does their promised balance change.

How has damage ramped up? Are you in CP?

Hard to say, I don't know what those builds are that are wrecking shields so hard, but I'm guessing :
Combination of 2-handers counting as 2 pieces must be allowing for some nasty set combos,
Jewellery crafting letting people run those really high damage heavy sets as robust, and with 5 med to ramp it up further.
Stronger light attacks
More CP.
