    1. Damage has ramped up so high that shields can't contain it anymore without being 100% defensive.. Then you run out of resources. Used to be possible to put up a stack and fight back for a cool down or 2. Now you put up hardened and its all but down before you can cast harness, so you need your strongest shield again - hardened... Vicious cycle till oom or cc wrecks you.

    2. So much avoidance from stamblades that sorc burst is difficult to set up on them.

    3. Used to be able to force them on the defensive much more often too, but need a burst rotation to make it happen. See 1. And 2. Since stamblade burst is frontloaded vs sorcs delayed, see 1.
Therefore, once the NB starts attacking, he just needs to keep the pressure up...

    4. Stealth mechanics means they mostly start the fight by getting the first hit in and you start the fight on the defensive.. See 3.

    5. Strong disengage/instaburst forcing to constantly shield, running you dry.. So even if you get the upper hand... See 4.

The advantage a sorc used to have was before 1. Was a thing.. Allowing you to slowly gain the initiative back. NB could still do 5. To regain it, but you always had a chance to take it back again.

    Not any more.

Stamblade by far number 1 just so effective straight away, even if youre fairly new to the class.
It has by far the highest burst potential of all classes and a great ultimate ability called incapacitating strike which is cheap, does fair damage, stuns the target and gives the target an unique take 20% more dmg debuff.
And people who master stamblade open world are hardly killable due to dodge roll, cloak and shade.
The only thing that can catch you off-guard are Xv1 specialists with detect pots and ulti-dump heroes that feel like 5v1 isn't unfair enough already.

For the people calling stam wardens OP, guess i haven't met a good stam warden yet.

If you use mines it relieves so much pressure when fighting stamblades it actually will allow you to basically just keep one shield up saving you so much magicka in the long run. In my opinion it turns the fight in your favor

The top 3 are classes that are close to where they need to be. Warden does need to be tuned down a bit of the ranged immunity and insane tankiness.

The other classes rely on sets to be op. Such as StamDk DoT builds using master weapons and sloads. MagDen using cauulron, impregnable light armor or dps proc set, and skoira.

zos must adjust "undodgeable tornado", "crazy dot dmg of master dual"

Though the polls usually reach a minority here on the forums that is probably biased in its own right, it is very telling that 70% can agree on a top 3, leaving 7 more options to be only 30% together.

They changed the shade for example.. it used to take a little bit of skill to use i guess... now every stamblade uses it. Today i was fighting a stamblade who was at <10% health, he dodged 5 of my executes, he used shade, cloak and came back full health and incapped me so i had to go full defense mode. That all in like 4/5 seconds.

Bless releases tomorrow... hopefully that will be good so i can play that for atleast a patch until Zenimax does their promised balance change.

I can't recall anyone using shades tactfully with the old setup. I personally like Shadow imagine, but it's very annoying to get it to cast with the older version. A lot of the time you're hitting the button repeatedly trying to get it to cast once, and sometimes you'll double cast it; causing you to teleport in place. Shadow image needed this change. Just be mindful of where the shade is located, and you'll be fine.

Hard to say, I don't know what those builds are that are wrecking shields so hard, but I'm guessing :
Combination of 2-handers counting as 2 pieces must be allowing for some nasty set combos,
Jewellery crafting letting people run those really high damage heavy sets as robust, and with 5 med to ramp it up further.
    Stronger light attacks
    More CP.

Well 2-handers are the only ones with weaker light attacks this update (dumb decision).

Staves counting as 2 items should've improved your build and shields as well though. As well as the increase in CP.

If you're seeing a lot of Oblivion damage in your recap, it could be Torug's, Shield Breaker, Sload's, or a combination of any of the former. Shiels users are feeling some pressure lately, especially magsorcs that stack magicka. Your best bet there is to invest in some healing or ramp up your Surge crits to out-heal the incoming, unresistable damage.

    I’m not saying it’s Aliens ... but it’s Magplars.

I’ll put it like this ... it takes a lot of time and effort to learn one of the many ways to enjoyably Magplar - and there are many if you stop listening to non-Magplars trying to get us to ruin our awesomeness because they can’t do something?

(Need a heal? A tank? A smattering of DPS? Someone executed? Like 400 other things and still be alive at the end of the fight to rez everyone?)

Magplars are OP AF but you need to learn how to harness the potential nonsense you can unfurl.
