This raises the following questions:

1) Does it only apply when fishing solo? If not, does it now apply with two or more players fishing, or does it still only apply when two players (no more, no less) have their lines in the water – i.e. like it was before the fix?

2) Does it stack with the already existing multiple player bonus? I would assume so, but the sentence "similar to the bonus that occurs..." makes me wonder.

Well that was a bit of a disappointment.

We should pertition Gina and ZOS to change it back to a fishing version of plentiful harvest perk - a chance to proc double fishing loot, no matter if you were fishing alone or with others. That would be truly useful.

As of now, it's only useful in getting a the rather pointless fishing achievements (I say that as a Master Angler myself), and once you got those, it's actually detremential to your fishing, as greens and blues caught twice are useless, and just take up space in the lootable from fish that can yield roes, furniture items and Pyandonean bottles.

I am SO sad that this was the change.

I love fishing. My hubby loves fishing, we were enjoying the double fishes. I didn't feel as though it made finding the rares any faster, and I certainly didn't find any *more* of the non-fish (I fished both with and without the food to see if there was an uptick there - if there was it was negligible to the point that I could not notice).

I also am asking/voting for asking the food makers to consider adding in a multi-fish drink/food.

Who am I kidding... I'll take a fishing armor set.

AWE. That was one thing they could have left alone (like the animation of running on your mounts back) Really it wasn't hurting anything to get a double fish here and there.

Still seems broken after patch,, I think it's the opposite of rare fish lure. I used one and am now catching 0 rare fish, no green, no blue, no wet gunny sacks.. nothing but the basic fish and the extra bait... Got 5 fish locations and caught nothing but basic ones..

I think it's broke in the other direction now.

EDIT: After using a way shrine it seems to work now.. Got 3 greens and a gunny sack

Correct, it drops from the waterlogged psijic sacks.

As long as you had only 2, but randoms would come up and join in and it would stop so you'd have to leave the here and go there to be just the 2 of you again. Until the next random came along again xD

This was a bug, they "fixed" it and now it does nothing.

Started fishing for the master angler achievement since I have the food but I'm not sure what to think about the food.
The fishing pools seem to go empty quicker without any benefits.

Other people say it is still bugged aswell but without any explanation.

Anyone here who could tell me if it is still bugged and if teleporting is the solution?

i do agree that this had to be fixed (thought this was intended honestly but oh well) but i also think that zos should create another recipe that give the chance for double drop like the bug did when your fishing with at least one other person...this would encourage friends to group up to have fun fishing together instead of it being a boring experience for everyone. the double fish drop should be similar to the cp passive but not depend on it. since some friends will be new to the game and not have enough cp to invest in that perk. all types of fishing play-styles should be rewarded in eso and im glad they are attempting to fix this with summerset but it still has a ways to go. hopefully they will visit this kind of thing in the future as i actually enjoyed the double drops while they lasted.

shame- the double fishing bonus was fantastic- made fishing quite productive and doubly enjoyable- i met a few people to group with- and made it social as well. i know somepeople prefer fishjing alone- though- so perhaps they could revert the changes- and make it 1.5 fish for solo and 2x for group or something. anyway- despite the buff- the blue foul fish still eludes me- they really didnit give us many foul water spots to fish from either.

With the chance at double fish it was decent, but like most zos nerfs it is now utterly worthless.

Worse than worthless bc the "rare" fish I catch vend for less than I can sell a raw fish for.

I used this in Arthaeum and Summerset. This time most of the spots are quite active with players, mostly master anglers.

I don't know what were the mechanics behind, but with this food I got 4 Psijic satchels in 20-30 minutes (2 in a row), and a bunch of rare and very rare fish. But I did not get more than 1 fish at once or 2 items. I opened 3 satchels. 2 had a recipe (the epic one and the gold one), the other had only mats inside... Sometimes the spots have like 5 fishermen or more... so they get exhausted quickly.

In Summerset I wasn't this lucky with this food. I found several bottles, but most had ingredients or style materials. I found like 1 motif page in 5 or more bottles. I still need to catch the "blue" foul and lake water fish. Foul water is hard to find in Summerset. Also I did not find enough lake spots.

Regarding your experience with clam gall, it is not that hard to obtain. You need to run geysers and you will get them. They are in short supply because it is a new ingredient. The new pearl ingredient is much easier to get, as well, fishing helps, because I get several from bottles.

P.S. I have never fished in this game until Summerset. But I really enjoy it in these 2 new zones because they are so beautiful made, the scenery is great.

I wish people read the entire thread, or at least the highlights, when posting their replies here, instead of just reading the first post.

Also, I wish people read the newest patch notes, that were also referenced in this thread, about the recipe being bugged (the double drops thing), and how it is now supposedly fixed.

Some of you are replying with "facts" that ar no longer facts, due to being changed by ZOS in the recent patch.

To sum it up: This recipe no longer does anything for double drops, apparently it increases your chances for blue and green fish, also when fishing alone. Though I have not tested whether it works myself, and frankly, I won't use it in any case, since catching blues and greens is pretty much useless unless you're going for a speedy Master Angler (which I already have), and I'd rather catch white fish and bottles than achievement fish.

Thanks for ruining a great recipe idea, ZOS.

I don't believe it was a "bug". The tool tip says fish will be attracted to you and they certainly were. I mean it is a costly recipe. Why not gain a Chance at double pulls?
Now the recipe is near crap to me. It was exciting for a day.

The double fish thing was better. Could have just made it a 40% chance at doubling.

Ive gotten Master Anglee the hard way. It doesn't bother me at all. In fact I'm delighted that getting my second Master Angler using this food and an add on is going much faster.

I like fishing, you see, but anything that makes the RNG on certain rare blue fish better is a good thing, IMO.

Forgive me if this was covered and I missed it.

Does this food only count toward rare fish quality? Or does it also increase your chances at a Pyandonean Bottle in Summerset?

Going by the wording, I'm guessing fish only...

Rare fish only, as far as I could tell. Fishing in base game zones, I did not get more wet gunny sacks than usual, but got noticeably more rare fish and the blue fish were caught much quicker than usual - I've been fishing for two characters towards master angler and the difference in speed of getting the blue fish while using the food was major.
