what's with the Jewelry Master Writs?

So people are now getting these...

How is this gonna be able to match the value for the current master writs? Of course the prices are inflated right now and they are way too far from what the average will be, but we now need 10 pieces of raw mats to make 1 temper piece, at this moment making a gold jewelry piece costs a little less than 2 million gold. So there are 2 choices to match the current vouchers value, a master writ for a legendary ring/necklace should give around 2500 vouchers or for some incredible reason mats value drops 2000%. Obviously maths are not accurate but anyone can see the point, something is way off.

ZOS is trolling us with these writs. The other alternative is they have zero communication in the office and I really want to believe they are competent enough at their jobs that nobody would let these slip into the game accidentally. It's a late April Fool's joke. Now that we've all had a laugh, ZOS can kindly adjust the voucher reward to the proper amount which rightfully should be about 10 times the amount that a similar blacksmithing master writ would award (1000 - 2000 vouchers)

This was brought up a few times in the PTS cycle already, @Glass.

If ZOS is going to change it ... they haven’t told us.

The players noticed it. We just need ZOS to notice it now.

It takes ten time the amount of gold mats to make the same piece of gear from jewelry vs say - blacksmithing, so they should be worth ten times the amount of vouchers.

I mean the dumbest thing I've seen was a friend that got a purple jewelry master writ of swift jewelry that was worth 10 vouchers. It costs 20 vouchers to buy the trait stone (not even counting the cost of the mats going up to purple). And they wonder why we ask questions like "do you guys even play the game?"

These are common sense mistakes that shouldn't be happening and should not be dependent on feedback in order to correct.

No one going to do Jewelry crafting writs the way they are. And i doubt they will even sell for 100 gold ;)

As jewelry crafting stands now.. I will never.. ever.. do a grand master writ.. it's just not worth it. 10X the mats to upgrade... NOPE! I'm not doing it... Jewelry crafting could have been nice and fun.. instead.. it's a grinding pain.

/sarcasm on --> Thank you, ZOS for showing you understand your player base and are able to consider player feedback when they begged you to reconsider how jewelry crafting was being implemented. /sarcasm off

Right now a gold dust price is from 20k to 50k gold.
You need 10 of them to make one full version.
    x8

1600k gold - 4000k gold --- 100 of those are just not worth it at ALL
    1.600.000 gold minimum = 108 writ

    14.815 gold/writ

Writs themsells cost araund 500g to 1500g (depending on what you get)

you should never use player prices as an excuse because these prices are not zos's doing. its players reaping as much coin as they can for something that A. many people dont have because jc is brand new and they havent acquired them yet, and B. people who do have them are unwilling to sell, so its a sellers market.

Like all things, prices will come down once they arent brand new. So stop using player decided prices as a reason ZOS should change theirs.

    Stop being so purposefully obtuse.

I don't care about player prices. I care about drop rates. You need 10x the upgrade mats because you acquire them in 1/10th units. Yet their acquisition through deconstruction and refinement is the same as the other upgrade mats that are acquired in full units. Not to mention the lack of hirelings.

There will always be a 10x difference in the jewelry upgrade supply/demand ratio. Player prices are much higher than 10x because the craft is new, but 10x marks the floor below which player prices will not fall.

Either ZOS needs to change the acquisition of jewelry upgrade mats so that it's not a 10x difference. Or they need to change the writ rewards to reflect the fact that they made this new craft 10x harder to upgrade than the other crafts.

They are super rare, i only got 2 so far in total. Droprate seems worse than on ore or wood. Not to mention, nodes spawn point is smaller.

It all adds to rarity and prices. Even if someone send 1000 bots to mine those, the prices wouldnt go down at all.

Ikr, makes no sense. Everything seems extremely grindy for no reason.
