Hello,
First of all, I’d like to say that this is not a “nerf sorc” or “hate sorc” thread. Several of my very good friends are sorcs, and I think that they would wholeheartedly agree with me about this - namely how bbroken and overpowered their class is in PVP at the moment.
Why the plea to tone down streak you may ask? While offensively speaking, magsorc is no douubt the best class out there, its burst outdamaging stamblades and stamplars alike, I think it’s even stronger when it comes to deffensive mechanics.
Since we see no real counter to shields being added anytime soon (shieldbreaker being quite useless and efffectively gimping your own character when you equip it), I say we sshould look at the other overperforming skills in the soorc arsenal.
Streak needs to be nerfed. Ever since the changes to interruptible abilities, I keep seeing sorcs streaking 2 or 3 times (something they have plenty of magicka for), and darrk dealing themselves back to full resources behind some rocks, trees, or other lines of sight. And as a magiccka dk main, my only gap closer - chains, is being absorbed by their ball of lightning (the morph of streak which absorbss all projectiles for what seems like an eternity).
Personally, I will try to use Silver Leash next patch, now that it will finally be changed to stop filthy cheaters from climbing up fort walls without sieging like overexcited monkeys on coke, but I fear it still won’t stop sorcerers from running away from fights with impunity.
With all the buffs to heavy armour, healing, and tanks in general, I thought the game was finally going the way of serious, drawn-out combat of attrition, as it should be. While I play magicka dk, I am a templar at heart, and I want to guard my house dammit. So why are there still any mechanics that help people escape combat whenever the situation turns sour from them without any penalty?
I suggest putting streak on a cooldown. Just a 10 to 12 second cool down in between streaks.
If any of you know World of Warcraft, the idea of putting skills on cooldown for people to use in a calculated manner seems like a great one. I’m sure good sorcs will still be able to streak with intelligence and rule over battlefields unchallenged, but it would go a long way in weeding out less than average leechers, and provide a great PVP experience to all of us!

No, it seems like a terrible idea and directly contrary the the stated design of this game (resource management vs cooldown tracking). The devs explained in like 2014 why they don't want cooldowns in this game--for years, there weren't even soft cooldowns like the cost increase on dodge roll/streak and the skill lockout when interrupted.I suggest putting streak on a cooldown. Just a 10 to 12 second cool down in between streaks.

If mages wrath kills you, you were already dead...
