Fighters Guild, First Boss lady impossible to kill solo.

I am a Dark Elf Nightblade using a bow, and I can't for the life of me kill the Snake lady at the end of the first Fighters Guild quest line. I can hit her hard but not finish her and then the feast balls arive to heal her. I tried to group up with some people but it seems like the quest is set for solo. When you go in with someone they are reported as "offline". As I see it, I will just have to wait until I can do more damage and try again, and again, and again....

We had the same problem during Beta. I'm not sure if there's a strategy that will allow for a reliable kill, short of out-leveling her by a lot.

Kill the balls before they get to her, AOEs work well here, keep her in center of room because the healy balls of annoyance pop in the corners, gives you a few seconds to down them all. OOOR just wait and outlevel it and go back.

    Hey Kingcroft,

It actually took me a couple of tries to get Doshia down as well. You want to keep attacking her constantly, possibly healing yourself with some tinctures in between.

When the spheres appear, be sure to take out every single one of them. The spheres heal you when you destroy them but also heal Doshia when they reach her. If you deny her the sphere's you'll take her down pretty quickly regardless of what class you are. Keep at it and you'll take her down.

    Greetings,

Doshia is a PITA. I remember wondering why I couldn't join group members phase. Once I found out it was a solo encounter, I left it and came back a couple levels later.

The encounter is simple in the sense that you attack her, then attack the orbs she summons that gravitate towards her. One or two hits per orb should be enough. If they hit her, they will heal her, and the fight drags on that much longer.

IIRC the quest is level 8, and I completed it around 11-12 on my Sorcerer. It really sucks how the game is designed with solo and group layouts, in that you simply can't join a group and help that person out. You don't have an option when it's a solo instance, as opposed to a public dungeon. Not sure why they went that route.

Well, she isn't impossible to solo kill, and she's actually quite easy once you get the hang of the encounter.

As you've noticed, those floaty balls of healing are going to help her, so kill them. I'd advise you to kill them near yourself, because they will heal you. Then go to town on Doshia, because without those heals, she's really easy.

I did this with all my points spec'd into healing/crafting and a resto staff equipped around level 7-8. My strategy was to move in circles around her as far as avoiding her attacks. Make sure you're killing all the orbs before they get to her when they spawn. They'll heal her if they get to her, but if you kill them, they heal you. Took me a while with my low damage output, but I got it done.

I remember it from beta. It is a tricky fight as there are mechanics (i.e. kill the orbs as others have said). I would strongly suggest that your gear is up to date (with a good weapon) and that you plan your attack out as space is limited. I'd certainly agree that it isn't a mob you're likely to kill first time of trying and should such a mob be in the game for solo only so early in the levelling process? Maybe maybe not.

I wondered what actually happened when you killed the feast balls because of the graphic "poof". I think my problem is that I back up into the back left corner so she is close to the spawn point so I don't have time to react.

@Kingcroft - During beta I had to put that one aside and do other quests until I was at a level that allowed me to solo her. Later quests in the Fighters Guild line were easier though because by that time I had gained far better weapons, armor and skills. Yes, the Fighters Guild, Mages Guild and Undaunted quest lines are solo only.

Pull her out of the cramped alcove so there's a greater distance between Doshia and where the Feasts spawn.

With a bow it's easy peasy. Kill the feasts before Doshia gets them, and you reap the benefits of their heals yourself. A bow makes it really easy to just plink them with a quick shot. You shouldn't need to use any healing potions as the feasts will keep you healed up just fine.

If you are talking about Drosia or w/e the snake boss, I solo'd that easily as a nightstalker using a bow. The orbs that spawn heal you too.. shoot them and keep them from reaching her to heal her. Once you get that down it is pretty easy.

-- Kill the feast balls and they heal you instead of her [crucial for surviving].

-- Avoid the AOE shock ripples. They will murder you. It's been awhile since I killed her. I can't remember for sure if she does this or not, but other harvesters do.

-- Eat a Stamina/ Magicka/ Health buff before attempting. Stam improves Weapon abilities. Magicka improves Spell abilities. Health is a no-brainer. Don't believe me? Check your abilities after eating one. The bolded numbers in the descriptions will change according to the buff. This helps immensely as abilities will do more damage or you will be more survivable etc.

-- Still having problems? You might be too underleveled. Or it might be your build. That's not to say that your build is good/ bad. However, at that low level, your skill choices are more crucial because you just don't have many of them yet. Bosses like this can be a build check for sure. If you wanna try a different combination of skills, head to Stormhaven/ Eldenroot/ Mournhold and use the shrines in the temples to respec. It does cost gold however.

This is the correct answer. This encounter has already been nerfed multiple times because people are used to just spamming the same buttons on every encounter up to this point. The fight is very simple once you know that you need to kill the balls and they will heal you instead of her.

Get used to this encounter, because these harvester mobs play a big part later in the game and they are even tougher.

I'd like to see some of these people complaining about her difficulty try it in beta when she was *constantly* knocking me into that cage behind her, and I couldn't get out. And I still beat her.

Yeah.. i also found it was a focus problem. If you focus on killing her, you miss balls that heal her. You have to focus on the balls and DPS her as you can. BTW, the room outside respawns eventually, so you want to watch kiting her too far away from the spawn points of the balls.
Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

Very true. In beta I finally beat her at level 20. I did this time at level 9. There is a learning curve to this type mob.

And I agree the ones later hurt a lot more and are less forgiving.

I've also found for myself switching to 3rd person view rather than first helps a lot on bosses. It's much easier to see their attacks and what's going on.

Should be in your 17-23 zone main city. For Daggerfall it's in Wayrest at the Temple of the Divines... the Stendarr and Akatosh shrines inside. 100g per point spent on either attributes or skill points.

    Absolutely loved this fight.
Kudo's to TESO for having the balls to make challenging solo encounters and now pandering to the casual player.

This was a fun solo fight with group style mechanics. :)

I knew that build was critical, so I have done every thing I could to do damage quickly with bow then finish with the assasins blade. Fighting ability first, crafting second.

I don't want the game to get easier then it is. But It's inevitable since posts like this will become more common after actual launch day.

Best thing to do is just get a few levels higher then the quest level. I tried at level 7 or 8 and couldn't do it. Got to level 10 with new gear and it was pretty easy. Just keep killing the balls before they get to her (they heal you instead of her if you get them). Use potions and food if you need as well.

    I assume you mean doshia.

The reason doshia is hard, for me:
    1. I keep glitching after I break free of her stun, that might just have been latency on my end though
    2. She stuns you at the same time as summoning health bubbles...

I haven't met her yet since pre launch. In beta I managed the level 8 one at level 16 or 17. I was unable to handle the level 30 main quest harvester, even at level 50. vet 1. The only suggestion here that I haven't tried is 3rd person view. Plus I've tried a number of suggestions from numerous other people that weren't included here.
I do not understand why these are only solo. It would really help those of us who cannot win these to have some help.

Don't feel bad. In the later parts of the game when I see the "Doshia" type and do not have to kill it.......I sneak right on by. They are a pita even after you figure them out because they can kill you quick if you mess up.
