    Hello,

pita means pain in the lower backside.

On Topic: initially I did have quite some problems with Dorshia, too.

When being busy trying to do damage, stay alive, and pop those bubbles it is not thaaat easy to spot that these bubbles DO heal you, when you destroy them.

Once I realized that (ok, I read the forums..), I just used basic attacks on Dorshia, and when the bubbles showed made a step back and used my homing area attacks (that spear thingie for Templars).

Don't you archers get an area attack? Likely reserving stamina to release that attack when the bubbles appear would do the trick.

    Regards,

This one is an interesting fight. The layout of the Ebonheart Pact dungeon for her makes that fight much tougher. Its basically a small room with a narrow twisty corridor leading off of it. Not a lot of maneuver room.

First time I fought her in Beta was fairly easy with my DK. But I used a bow for that fight because I was working on that... Didn't actually have any bow skills slotted just DK skills and silver bolts. That one was surprisingly easy and I think using ranged and staying at range did the trick.

On Saturday I did it with my live version of the same DK that fight I used a sword and shield instead of both. That fight was hell. I only died once because I quickly remembered from reading threads like this that popping her bubbles heals you. So I would get 2 or 3 of her bubbles and she would get healed up with the 3rd or 4th one. The fight dragged on and on and on until I finally manged to get all 4 of the bubbles at which point she went right down and stayed down.

On reflection I think I should have not stayed in 1st person for this fight but pulled back as you need area of awareness due to the bubbles. Also on reflection I should have flipped to my destruction staff instead of used sword and shield. Range did seem to play a nice factor in suviving the first time. And again I had a load out of DK, sword & shield, and silver bolts in my power tray.

Doshia is actually not that hard when you learn the mechanics. The orbs heal you too, you know. Using them to your advantage, the fight is pretty easy.

Facing the fact how much EASIER Doshia became when this game went live I am pretty amused that there are so many ppl who reckon using a bit of brains being 'impossible'

She gave me some trouble but I killed her solo without any AOE spells or abilities as a nightblade at level 11. The npc is fine as it is.

I soloed as a Templar healer with Restro staff. Just kited her round and round and round, destroying any orbs that spawned in front. Took a little while to understand the mechanics, but once learnt, I found it to be a cakewalk.

Its the best early game fight- a challenging boss with interesting mechanics that require you to think about how to beat it. Once you know the mechanics- either by observation/trial and error or by looking on the net, it is quite doable even if slightly underleveled.

I hope there is more like this waiting later down the track- especially for solo-only content.

Silver bolt(fighter guild skill line) makes this encounter much easier and aslo has use on the Mage guild boss.

It's a bit of a pain at first, but once you know that destroying all of the bubbles is the key, you can do it easily enough with a bit of coordination and concentration. I agree that silver bolt makes the fight easier, and I think it is also likely easier ranged, but I did it with a S&B DK. So, yes, tough if you don't know the mechanic, but once you do, then it's doable on level if you are careful.

Ok, the strategy is simple - kill those blue healing orbs with spam aoe attacks. Keep the blue orbs from reaching her, she falls fast.

A health buff from a nice meal doesn't hurt, either.

I got her the first go at the cost of 5 pots and 99% of my health.

I started this thread, And I already retracted my "impossible". But I guess people are only going to read the title then respond. This quest is perfectly fine. I formally appologize for saying something weak.

I struggled with this fight early on in Beta (at level 8 which is the quest level)

In the 2nd beta I tried, I had practiced a few different skills, and the one skill that made the biggest difference in this fight is the FIGHTERS GUILD skill "Silver Bolt"

It does bonus damage to undead & daedra (with a chance to banish them) - It also knocks them down/stuns them in certain circumstances.

In the live version of the game, I did the Doshia encounter at level 9 as a Bow using Nightblade, in full level 8 medium armour, and a level 8 bow. (all crafted)

I cannot express how much easier the fight is using the Silver Bolt skill (in my opinion one of the best skill abilities available for any class) - Its almost a must for a ranged combatant.

I just beat Doshia as a level 10, Sorcerer, Healer, with a Restoration Staff, in the Daggerfall Covenant.

I didn't die at all, the fight just took a long time until I figured out a decent method of keeping the orbs from healing her: when the orbs were summoned, I'd sprint away from the area/room that the orbs were floating around in; which forced her to chase after me and away from the orbs.

Then I'd back-track and kill all of the orbs (healing myself in the process), then I'd go back to fighting Doshia. I wouldn't say the fight was easy for a pure healing build, but it's definitely manageable with a little patience.

I defeated her with my one hand/shield sorcerers with just the 3 class skills (unmorphed). No other skill points invested in armor or weapons (except poison shot so I could get xp for both bow and shield). It's all about timing with her.

I hated her, took me amost 30 minutes to kill her. And I survived because of the orbs, but her knockback gave her the chance to heal up full again...
I have no interupts in my build..
I knew the tactics but still didn't manage to get all the orbs killed..
But on the other hand ... nice to have such a difficult fight when I am only level 10

Its a stupid quest at this level. It is built on the assumption that you have an AOE build to get the orbs. I'm a DragonKnight so speced for tanking not AOE damage - so I'm stuck. Can't be killed, but can't kill her even though 3 levels above the quest.
If you are specing for heals or a tank it is difficult if not impossible at the specified level.
Mobs that require specific builds to defeat at a level when many classes will not have those builds available is quite frankly stupid.
Those type of mobs may be more common later on, but you will have a heck of a lot more skills at that stage to deal with them.
Did the designer of that quest happen to have a build that works well for it?
    I think so.
But did he forget to check if it is doable by other specs? I think not - and there is your problem.
Solo quests should not be build for a specific spec only.

Doshia was a true challenge for me as well. Woodelf NB with a bow. I did finally beat her though. Destroy those bubbles, they give you some health back same as they give her health if she breaks them. Dodge and stun as often as you can. I personally found it easier when I used the stairs to get her away from me for a few seconds. Good luck!

Wait, how is someone "spec'd" and be under level 10? Kill the orbs, dodge attacks, and keep hittin her.

As I said before, I did this with a sorcerer, with the first skills in each class tree no morphing and basic attacks from my weapon. She isn't hard, she is challenging.

This Boss was by far the hardest in the zone. I tried it at several levels and finally killed her at lvl 16. I like a challenge and even at lvl 16 it was tough going. I knew the tactics to use and felt a sense of achievement when I finally got her.

To those people that want to change this to a group zone or to make it easier, I say have patience, do something else and lvl up to get the skills you need to kill her then go back and try again.

This quest does not need to be altered.

It was like this for me, too. My first try, she simply wiped the floor with me. The second, third, and fourth times I knew to kill the orbs but I could never get all of them; I'd get all but one, but I just couldn't shoot fast enough to get the last one before it healed her. So I kited her around the room in endless circles, neither of us ever losing more than a few points of health.

After getting some good advice here on the forums, I spent a couple of skill points in a knockback skill and, more importantly, Silver Bolts. All Fighters' Guild members can get that skill, and it worked like a charm because it's very strong against daedra. When I went back, she was much easier, and it felt like a real accomplishment.

I agree with Killum that the quest is not gimped or overpowered or unbalance or whatever. The problem is that we as players need to be flexible in combat and adapt our fighting style to whatever we're fighting at the time. Ever hear anybody say "use the right tool for the right job?" It's better than whining that something needs to be made so easy that anybody can do it without using any strategy or preparing themselves for the task at hand.

My opinion, for what it's worth. I am not a bragger, and I do not pretend to be "L33T". Just my findings...

For a SOLO quest, at levels 8-10, it's way too difficult. Compared to other quests, it isn't even close. The quest is marked as lvl 8, it should be more attuned to that and although it requires advanced tactics, top gear and weaponry plus potions and multiple attempts, I have found it not worth more than the ten tries I gave it at level 9. Just saying, that's my findings. I guess I suck.

Now, I am not complaining, just stating my findings. I don't care if they change it, I will be coming back at level 16 to try it. Take note, that's TWICE the level of the quest to begin with.

I read all the tactics and suggestions and how "easy" some claim this to be. I simply did not find this to be the case. That is all.

Tips: If you're duel wield, two handed or bow. You have to get the cross hair on the balls to really get them in time without missing (it's there for a reason). Resto staff is easy since it's main attack creates kind of a chain attack and sticks to the enemy.

Balls will heal you. Balls should be priority, Doshia secondary. Anothing thing. End game Doshia is a common mob. "Harvester" and you'll run across the same mechanic a lot even multiples so this is getting you used to mechanics early.

Difficult (for some) yes. Impossible definitely not.

sorry to laugh, but its pretty funny that you cant figure out that the balls of light are healing her.

    Kill those, kill boss, profit.
  • LilBudyWizerub17_ESO
They seem to have made it easier. I swear during beta one of those would heal her to full, now it's just a third each.

I was about lvl 8 when I encountered her.
I died more then10 times before I realized what these orbs were there for...

The last fight lastet over 10 minutes but I never felt in danger as the orbs kept me alive. I did not get all of them and she healed herself from about 30% to nearly full health several times.
But once you figure out to focus on the balls it gets really easy.

Another tactic would be to nuke her big time.
A friend of mine killed her before she was able to transorm and the balls to spawn.
He plays a 2H templar skilled on damage.
It took him just "a few" seconds to finish her off...
