Solo'd with a templar. Just hit with resto staff and saved mana for heals and aoe for when the balls showed up.

I kited her away from the ball then used agony, to give myself 15 secs to deal with the balls. Worked well. just took a lil manuvering.

Thats the beauty of this game, everytime someone at my house hits a hard spot, we always find some tactical insight that makes it alot easier. It makes us all feel like "heroes" over here at times :)

    I assume you mean doshia.

The reason doshia is hard, for me:
    1. I keep glitching after I break free of her stun, that might just have been latency on my end though
    2. She stuns you at the same time as summoning health bubbles...

    OMG this!

This is such a dang annoyance! How are you supposed to do anything when you are stuck in place, can't move or act, then BOOM, she's healed.
    Lalai wrote: »
I did this with all my points spec'd into healing/crafting and a resto staff equipped around level 7-8. My strategy was to move in circles around her as far as avoiding her attacks. Make sure you're killing all the orbs before they get to her when they spawn. They'll heal her if they get to her, but if you kill them, they heal you. Took me a while with my low damage output, but I got it done.

Here's the problem, at least on the Ebonheart side.

First, the place to fight her is horrid. It is cramped, filled with things to get stuck on, and stinks.

Second, the orbs ALWAYS spawn on TOP of her. Kinda hard to destroy the when they pop in less than 2 seconds.

Third, one bubble heals ALL the damage I have done to her.

I don't die or get hurt in this at all. It is just frustrating and not fun.

Coryevans, I don't want her nerf, I just didn't know what I was doing. I am sorry That I overstated my post title.
Nah, I apologize for over reacting. I'm so used to games starting out with a solid level of difficulty only to be nerfed to the point of boredom that I get a little( a lot actually) too defensive.

This is where ultimates really help too. Doing a lot of damage fast is important. Look at u're skills and also see if u have any that nerf healing or damage. These really help too. An optimistic mind set helps too; sure she heals herself, but those floating orbs heal u too.

Well, I was able to defeat her after I die killing the stupid zombies she summons in. After that I was able to prevent most of the orbs from getting to her. I wouldn't call it easy but I was able to get it done. Thanks for the tips.

It was close, but I was finally able to do it. "Impossible" isn't the word, but "painful" fits. Still, I like to have some challenge in my day. Keeps the heart beating. =)

I solo'd her in beta two levels under with nightblade and I did her tonight 3 levels under.

She doesn't do much damage apart from her one main damage attach, which if you don't go into melee she doesn't hit you at any other time, the moment the balls spawn, kill them. They literally take two shots. Then dps her. just move a kite :) easy.

Don't have to constantly spam auto attacks.

if you have the skill that knocks back it's quite helpful as you said you have a bit of trouble getting her away :) otherwise anyother CC will help you.

This game definitely has some difficulty to it when it comes to things like this. I usually either ask zone chat or watch a youtube to see how it was done. There are so many little tricks to defeating bosses at the same level, otherwise you have to spend a good 10 minutes trying stuff out and get frustrated. There is that sense of accomplishment that you finally pulled it off and can now move on to the next part of the quest.

Sorry, another question, I have heard the term "Kite" or "Kiteing". Not sure if that is the way it is spelled, nor am I sure what it means.
  • Thorebane
    Thorebane
Kite or kiting is where you're basically not letting a certain mob get within melee of you, so for instants you are running around while the mob chases you, however in most games, this included you run faster than said mob so every so often you can shoot an attack or move while attacking with the mob following behind you :)

I am a Dark Elf Nightblade using a bow, and I can't for the life of me kill the Snake lady at the end of the first Fighters Guild quest line. I can hit her hard but not finish her and then the feast balls arive to heal her. I tried to group up with some people but it seems like the quest is set for solo. When you go in with someone they are reported as "offline". As I see it, I will just have to wait until I can do more damage and try again, and again, and again....

What level are you when you were trying to kill her? I believe i had issues killing her in beta too, But i ended up coming back at around level 12-13 and could do it fine.

You need to try to kill her more in the open away from walls etc, So when she does the skill that takes your Health away and orbs come at you, you can quickly run over to them, or shoot them and get your health back, By keeping her in the middle the orbs will take longer to get to her and give back HP.

I recommend not wasting much Magicka/Stamina before she turns into the Snake, as if you do burst damage at the start, no matter how much HP You took off, when she transforms she goes back to 100% health.

If you are having troubles killing her at level 9,10,11 Try coming back just a few levels higher, 12,13 even 14. Try crafting some new gear or bring some Healing/Magicka and/or Stamina potions along with you, Try eating some Provisioning food/drinks For increased Health/Magicka/Stamina or Regens.

    Good luck!

I agree with some of the above posters; this is a level 8 quest and I am currently level 11. One of the regen bubbles consistently spawns nearly on top of the boss making it nearly impossible to prevent a heal. This would be less frustrating if the bubbles worked for her the same way they work for the player; in increments. But whilst it takes several popped bubbles for me to get a good amount of health back, all she needs is one.
Playing as a sorcerer and not a melee means it's even more punishing. Bugs and constant broken mechanics I can at least work around but this boss feels like an impasse.

AFAIK all the Guild quests bosses are solo and all of them can be easily dealt with by using your brain more than your skills

@mutharex‌ and in my case I used my brain to break of my fruitless attempts at lvl8 and came back at 10 properly geared and popping buff foods/drinks like crazy. :p

I just critical rushed her with my 2-hand Templar and fired of DPS skills constantly.
Bötch didn´t even manage to get into her snake form. B)

eh eh that's definitely a way, but I meant more observing Boss reactions and the environment. But both solutions work

Haven´t tried it with a long range character but Sorcerers have good DPS too.
Are you trying buffoods (magic in your case) and good quickslot magic regens to just slam her with damage spells even before she transforms?

@Kingcroft, Pain in the @$$ lol. What I found worked was getting her way out in the open so you can kill those orbs. If even one touched her it was healing her all the way when I fought her at level 11. Took me about twenty tries with my nightblade. Focus on the orbs and hit her when you know that the coast is clear. Constantly keep checking for orbs though and if you have a nightblade use killers blade and deathstroke as soon as you get her around 30%.

Don't you just love the orifices who have to tell everyone how they found it easy?
Some class builds with the right tools can just about manage to take it down
    but that's not the point.

For a level 8 solo quest, right at the start of the game, it's far too difficult and I can imagine a few players being seriously put-off by it.

So learn to play instead of whining on a forum and insult other players that don't seem to have your problems. You want welfare epics, go play some game that cater to your kind of player

Other quests allow you to group, Guild quests no, because it's a test.
And it's actually really easy to do if one stops rushing her while ignoring the globes... ah and every time you die, you lose armor and weapon power if you don't repair
