One thing I noticed that when DLCs drop is Zeni tends to change ( nerf ) things players like.

I don't know to much about the upcoming DLC but I am assuming that Zeni may alter ( lower ) jewelry drops. If it is true that you can upgrade jewelry after Summerset then I recommend doing as many group dungeons /trials as possible before the next DLC for a chance of getting jewelry you want/need.

If you are interested in joining a good dungeon/trail guild see my signature and take a look at Friendly Dungeon Runners guild.

But jewellery obtained before Summerset won't be compatible with the crafting system. If you're just concerned they're going to nerf all jewellery drops and you want to farm the ones you want to use now, then go for it, but if you're expecting to use them with jewllery crafting stations it will be a waste of time.

I think the OP means you should grab jewelry you want to upgrade - that will still be possible with pre-Summerset jewelry.

but why are willpower arcane and agility robust jewelry prices raised up so much? you could now use 5-5-2 why would u want golden willpower or golden agility since those will be weaker than a 5 set

That is good to know, I was thinking I could do nMoL now and farm for Alkosh jewelry then upgrade it to gold after Summerset drops.

    Off-topic, but here’s another tip:

Get your skill points that you need for the Psijic Line and Jewelry Crafting now so that you’re prepared ahead of time.

There’s nothing more lame in the forums than players whining that they don’t have enough skill points.

Some of those skill points you can get in Summerset through skyshards, main quest, public dungeons, etc.

This, skyshards, public dungeons, group dungeon quests, quest lines, the first one in pvp comes very fast.
And honnestly i don't think drop rate of jewelery will be dropped, its part of sets so it would be hard to change. Perhaps less junk jewelry.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

There has been no mention in patch notes about reducing drops. People will likely farm for jewelry to deconstruct for mats and inspiration.

It will take good time of grinding before any upgrades to gold. They will need LOTS of mats for that.

But junk jewelry is what most newbies start out using and learning about what jewelry can be used for in the game. I doubt, that ZOS will make it harder for newbies to get into the game - so far they always made it easier for them.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Regardless of what ESO does there is no reason to be rude. I was just giving my tip.

As far as me posting about my guild, it was just a comment that is all. No reason to get tush hurt because I know many players are looking for a guild to do dungeons and trials.

Actual hint for before Summerset: unlock a bunch of wayshrines on any character you want to do the Psijic Order skill line on, its like a giant scavenger hunt.

Another hint: if you want to hunt for seams, get the keen eye passive (only takes one or two pieces of jewelry to decon to get to level 2) and hunt in a zone where you know where the ore nodes are. Its much easier to find them if you remember where the ore nodes were. AKA, don't start hunting for seams in Summerset, you'll be disappointed.

Mangnus at the mages guild has an infinite supply of jewelry for you to buy and deconstruct. So I would advise one to be farming gold right now. And get those skill points. On my main in the past week I have added 20. Did it by doing questing, an afternoon in cyrodill and the dungeons I had not yet completed.

The only thing you can't do with existing jewelry is deconstruct it. So yeah get whatever you are interested in upgrading or transmuting.

On the PTS, it took me like 400 pieces of that white jewelry to get to level 18 jewelry crafting at 1, 387 gold a piece, and it was slow going. I really don't recommend that method unless you have a ton of gold and want jewelry crafting leveled quickly.

I experimented on my main. I spent about 200k at the magnus and a few hrs farming . Deconing that I was able to get to level 20 in 2 days time.

Skill points are about to become pretty tight after SI if your main is also your crafter.

You are going to need around 35 extra skill points if you want both Psijic and Jewelry crafting maxed out. My main is missing 24 skill points, 14 of which are from not being level 50 in Cyrodiil, only 10 extra from dungeons. I have every other skill points/skyshard in the game.

I have 18 extra currently, so even if I did all those 10 dungeons I still wouldn't have enough for the new skill lines. I am pretty prudent with my skill points and have removed ones from crafting that I don't need, skill lines I don't use etc...

I am probably going to have to remove ones from Legerdemain, and a few others from other "less desirable" skills like "Persuasive" and "intimidation" which I have had since launch.

I am not sure how many we are getting in SI, but I doubt it's more than 5-6. For my main+crafter I will have to make up the difference somewhere else.

You CAN upgrade jewelry you get before Summerset. You can do exactly the thing you are talking about wanting to do. They are compatible with the upgrade portion of the system, just not the deconstruction.

I hate to break it to you but the real Jcrafting grind has to do with getting 10 grains to make 1 upgrade temper and those grains drop from harvesting and decon (if you decon a purple ring you have a chance to get 1 purple grain NOT one purple temper) at the same rate that full tempers drop for the other crafts and the number of tempers required to upgrade is the same. And there's not one damn thing you can do to prepare for that except stock up on gold and be prepared to pay the very inflated prices that the bots and farmers, who will be heavily farming JC nodes with all the + speed advantages they can stack, will be selling the raw mats for.

Getting JC to 50 and researching the traits are trivial grinds compared to the upgrade temper grind.

If you do what average players will be forced to do and just wait out the inflationary spike you'll have plenty of time to get all the skill points you need to get JC to 50 long before you have enough tempers to upgrade anything to purple, much less gold.

Same character has every profession maxed, all guilds maxed (apart from DB), Got EVERY passive in the game. and unlocked 3 weapon skill lines with all passives etc, all my class abilities unlocked and still 50 too spend!! There are SOOOOO many skill points in this game, that I've been stuck with 40+ useless ones for AGES now! THANKS GOD I will be able too use them comming summerset!

So there are 394 possible skill points in the game. You say you are missing around 20, so 374?

    All max crafting is 147.

You say you have all class skills and passives? That's 20 per line. So 60.

You have 3 weapon skill lines with all passives? Another 60.

All Guilds but DB? That's 19 for FG, 19 for MG, 11 TG, and 14 Undaunted. So 63.

What about Armour lines? Magsorc so I assume LA is maximum? So 13?

    Racial is 9.

If you are adding this up you are at 352/374. That leaves you with 22 to spare and I haven't even added in that you say you have "all passives in the game" so I assume Soul Magic, Legerdemain, and either Vamp or WW?

With respect, I think maybe you don't have "All passives" in the game, and maybe you are also being judicious with where you place your skill points.

Being a Magsorc probably also means you have never considered Heavy Armour or its passives like some other classes (such as my Magplar) has needed to run in PvP in the past and will probably need again at some point. Same can be said for S+B.

Exactly. The skill point addon recommended by a friend (Urich's Skill Point Finder ) pointed out a few easy ones I had missed on my main crafter. Got two today and will get the rest very shortly. I have 24 set aside for Summerset. Unfortunately the rest are for gaining PvP ranks and she is AD. My main PvPer now is of a different faction....sigh.
