So we are ok with the fact that 70% of the pvp population is nightblades?

Here is another person who does not understand how eso PvP works. There are no glass cannons. You're only a glass cannon if you build your character as one. If you're wearing divines on your stamblade/magsorc that means those classes have overperforming defence mechanics.nothing else.

I understand pvp and I'll kick your butt up and down Cyrodiil all day. Classes lean toward optimized playstyles in pvp. If you don't get that you're a fool.

No, you don't. Being tank vs being a glass cannon in eso's PvP doesn't mean you are anymore or less able to survive.

It only changes the method in which you do survive.

In fact, the NB, which should be squashy is instead in if the best surviving classes because of the highest mitigation and best escape.

Nightblades are definately the most common in pvp and pve end game, as they have the best dps by far.
And I prefer having 70% Nightblades in pvp than 70% Breath of Life spammers and permablockers again. Nightblades are fair: They deal alot of damage, but most of them can be dealt with rather easily. Fighting them feels less frustrating than fighting templars who hard counter 2 classes entirely.

Most Nightblades around are average at best and make for some good pvp. I can count the good Nightblades on EU with 1 hand.

I can't even overestimate the number of times I've charged into a group of players just to have them all go poof the moment I move in their direction.

When I play my stamblade (and I play stam of every class - all of my stam chars are no less than Tribune rank), it's because I don't particularly feel like trying that day and want some easy kills.

Stamblade is overpowered, in my opinion. A stamblade with an appropriate amount of burst, recovery and speed, played properly, is near insurmountable - or at least, not worth pursuing, only pressuring off each (of the many) times they try to burst you from stealth. If you go after them it's a never-ending chase.

Whether or not they are, by the numbers and all technicalities considered, actually and by definition "over-powered," the sense that most players have about them is "please go away, I'm tired of this."

Question for the NB haters. Are you happy with the pvp population in eso? If 70% of the population are NB'S and you kill off NB'S, just how populated do you expect pvp to be? What you think that 70% is suddenly going to enjoy playing whatever class you like?

I am now on your side. I too want them to kill off NB'S, the neglect and end result for pvp will be hilarious.

Some numbers, from PC/EU Sotha Sil top 100 of each faction, this evening:

for AD, DC, EP, and total

    NB: 37, 25, 19, 81 (27%)

    Sorc: 27, 29, 22, 78 (26%)

    Templar: 15, 20, 30, 65 (22%)

    DK: 11, 13, 22, 46 (15%)

    Warden: 10, 13, 07, 30 (10%)

This is not necessarily representative for the whole PvP population, but it is objective data.

That's roughly the same as my kill log in Shor on XBX NA on my DC stamden

    27% NIghtblades

    26%Sorcs

    24% Templars

    15% Dragonknights

    8% Wardens

Of course AD is overwhelmingly MagSorcy and Stambladey

While EP is Templar and DK dominant, but also has a good bit of sorcs and NBs.

There are alot of nbs in pvp, didnt used to be. But at some point it got very crowded. I main a nb now, and have been for over 2 years, id really like to see cloak completely loose its invisibility if that would mean there would be less ppl playing a nb.

OPs first post was 70% of the gaming community is nightblades which is false as zos posted their stats either a month or 2 months ago that the highest player count to class ratio is sorcs(go figure). cloak will lose its invisibility at some point so thatll impact the nightblade trend but there will still be nightblade mains.

And yes I have one too, why wouldn't I? They are strong AF.

It really takes something away from pvp though when such a huge portion of the pvp populataion is playing one class.

Is that you just guessing or do you have actually data to confirm your claim?

Was that pvp or the entire game? Pvp has been dominated by stam nbs for awhile but sorcs and nbs have been the most popular for years.

I’m sure if zos said that they meant overall. Either way I’m skeptical about their pvp stats since they said the average pvp player only makes 10k ap a day.

Well with that the PvE quester and zergs lower the average AP rate a lot and the guys that jump in for less then an hour most likely are counted too

There’s more people zerging up top taking keeps and resources than there are random questers, plus even if you zerg you’ll make more than 10k as an actual pvp player, even before the ap buff.

The problem is zos has a history of skewing data(such as counting people who logged in 1-3 times), things like including people who played less than an hr or questers will only skew things. Albeit, now you can take a keep and get 4K ap for doing nothing, this will change next update.

Only reason there is a lot of stam blades currently is because some streamers released a bow build recently and everyone is jumping at it.

Don’t know if you’re being funny but nb has been popular ever since I started playing this game, when it was sorcs and nightblades online. Back when it took ages to complete kill 20 dks/Templars.

    I don't think it's 70% nightblades, but 50% would not surprise me.

Also templars suck even more than nb's are op.

When game launched 70% of population were dks, that was terribly wrong.
When game launched Magdk's were a tad better from magblades(pve dps),it was terribly wrong. If you think magblades were bad you never knew how to play them.

Nowadays 70% plays a nightblade, their output dps atm is the best by far as well their sustain and broken selfheals.
Nightblades 1shot in cyrodiil like never anyone could before, that is acceptable too i guess.

Why nightblades are by far the best class in all matters is simple: The more you forum whine, the more buffs you get.

Personaly i think nightblades are a healthy class with many stamina morphs, while other classes like DK's have 2 stamina morphs and health recovery usless passives.

We dont need a nightblade nerf,we need to get rid of whatever is stupid and not worthy having on the rest classes.

Ah if only. Nightblades make great AP fodder. Unfortunately they're probably around 15% of the population.

Hit the nail on the head. AP fodder. Farm them and move on lol.

On my StamDK , NB’s and DK’s tend to run neck and neck in overall class killed. Oddly enough Wardens are the class most killed on my MagDK ...must all be MAG Wardens lol.
