they have to if they don't want to go broke in a few years...

The crown prices of most of the items in the Shop are absurd
and the cost of crowns for a few thousand crowns are also absurd

Reason most of the SANE person who don't like to throw money out of the window waits for BIG discounts...
it simply does not worth it otherwise..

i mean you can Buy Entire NEW freshly released good Games for the price of a few items in that stupid store...
and we are paying a Sub for this lol come ooon...

I seriously sense something insidious over at ZOS with the marketing department. The way they're doubling down on the money grabbing feels malicious. Unless ESO is in serious financial trouble, the recent patters are just weird. Also just going to mention the last time a thread popped up that questioned ZOS's business tactics, the entire thread was removed from the forum and never put back. So yeah, something is definitely up.

Hell, if i was to fully indulge in conspiracies, I'd say they made summerset, and cut corners on that, just so they could do all this sketchy crown stuff.

Actually thinking of canceling my sub that i've only had for 3 months. Cuz I'm not sure how I feel about things anymore.

The only thing they are getting out of me at this point is the pre-order for Summerset CE. Could of gotten a lot more out of me if the sale was more attractive. Only really one thing this month that I want and I already have the crowns for it.

My wife and I both regularly buy the 21000 packs when they’re on sale but not this time out. Too bad... 25% price increase last year and now a 20% sale bringing it back to old price levels. Pathetic.

There is a difference between conscious consumer, and childish complainer, and it's a simple lack of words. It has been said in this thread several time, in a few ways. ZOS doesn't care what you have to say, only what your wallet is willing to contribute. The complaining is unnecessary, just don't spend your money to make a point.

I get that they prefer people to pay at full price rather than waiting for sales, so they want to make the sales less attractive. But for me personally, at full price I buy 0 crowns. At 50% and even 40% off I buy many crowns, and at 20% off I buy...no crowns.

Agreed. Brazil is a big market and I know many brazillians who always buy more than one 21k crown packs; but it's really rough with the added taxes due to no official support for Brazil (We have to pay banks to convert our money and added impost for international transaction).

It's really ashame that added to no support to our region we have to get even higher prizes on promotions; it's super sad actually.

Please, add support to pay with our currency, to make it at least easier for us, that enjoy your game.

Totally agreed! In a way it reminds me of credit card companies that send me applications. I actually have outstanding credit, and when I read their "awesome APR of 32%" I belly laugh and wad the thing up and toss it in the trash. No, ZoS is not doing us any favors at all with a 20% discount. I mean, crowns and crown store items are grossly overpriced in the first place.

It's an artificial isolated currency inside of a video game.

There is no "supply and demand" for something that exists infinitely.

ZOS decides the rates and all they're doing is alienating the average player who ehhh may buy crowns once or twice a year but DEFINITELY would at 40% to 50% off.

It's just a very clear cash grab by their marketing team and tosses a hefty amount of consumer trust out the window.

None of my friends and majority of guildmates in some of the largest PC/NA guilds will touch Crowns unless they go 40% off or more.

People are dissatisfied because this actually represents another crown store price hike. Many people rely on these 40% off sales to bring the crown store prices more in line with their perception of value. By reducing the discount, ZOS are impacting the value price point but just dressing it up as a 'sale'! For many, the sale has come to be the baseline price. Considering that crown prices are rising and discounts are reducing, it's important for customers to kick back otherwise ZOS will continue to raise prices

20% sales is another lame move from ZO$. Disappointing. I suppose there won´t be more crowns for me. Now it´s good that nothing good is left in the crown store, with a couple of dull items a month, overpriced and for limited time only.
