Remove Major Defile and Decrease all Healing by 30%

Major Defile currently has 100% uptime on majority of builds that run it, and most builds are fitting in Major Defile into their load out. Allow us to free up a skill slot and just decrease all healing by 30% if uptime is meant to be 100%.

✭✭Major Defile just needs to be nerfed to 15% and Minor Defile to 5%. Or just remove Defile from main attacks like Lethal Arrow and Incap Strike.7 -

✭✭✭✭✭Actually decreasing healing for PvE wouldn’t be a bad thing. Only the very hardest content requires actual healing at all. We have been long at the point that good healing isn’t about healing but about how many buffs are provided to the group. Most healing in PvE is overhealing.

I have to agree here. Healing is ridiculously easy. I hate healing because I feel like I'm doing a chore when I'm the one that has to hop on my healer for whatever I'm doing with my friends.
All you do is basically spam healing springs and throw orbs, with a breath of life here and there for spike damage. I don't even worry about getting aggro, I just stand there and heal while the mobs wail on me. My healer has like 30k BoL crits or some nonsense, and my group has practically zero chance of dying while I have orbs/springs up unless they get mechanic'd.
I personally think people should have to provide a greater percentage of their own healing. If there's any hope of the power creep of extreme DPS being slowed (other than, of course, altering CP), it has to be by forcing players to rearrange their gear, bar setups or both. The ideal group has a DPS with no heals, a tank that can self-heal, and a healer that buffs the group. That's all good and well, except that there are so many other ways to build characters that it just feels stifling.
I would personally love to see a healing reduction. I'd love to see fewer DPS in trials - more need for more tanks and more healers. If we're being fair to all players, shouldn't trial teams ideally be balanced this way? I'd also love to see more team play in Cyrodiil. Watching people get cut down because they charged into a fight without a team, without support, might make the point clearer that team work is required to win. There is a reason the ball groups of Cyrodiil run around in divines gear with sheer damage and healing builds though - if you stand in a healing springs from a full healing spec'd player, you probably won't get bursted down unless the person hitting you blows most or all of their resources doing it, at which point they become fodder for the rest of your group anyway.
I digressed there a bit, but I hope I'm making my point clear. Healing is far too potent and far too easy. Good players in PVE don't worry about healing at all, and good players in Cyro can heal through all but the consistent application of both major/minor defile, assuming they didn't disadvantage themselves with poor positioning.3 -
