Sometimes, when necromancers reanimate a creature, they overdo it and imbue the undead entity with an excess of dark conjuration. In the case of the Ashen Courser, this residue of mystical power manifests as a cloud of grave dust and ash.
The Ashen Fang Lair Courser is available for a limited time on all platforms from April 26 to April 30 at 10am EDT, and costs 3,500 crowns.

This necromantic construct of reanimated bones resembles a gruesome Bone Dragon, one so charged with unholy power that it emits an uncanny blue glow. Needless to say, this is the perfect pet for anyone who professes to follow the ancient Dragon Cult.
The Unholy Glow Bone Dragon is available for a limited time on all platforms from April 26 to April 30 at 10am EDT, and costs 1,500 crowns.

✭I think the prices for a lot of things are too high of late. It's like there are two economies existing side by side. The economy of the non-subscriber where crowns have a direct monetary is one economy. The other one is that of subscribers where they get crowns along side of other benefits so the crowns have perhaps a much lower perceived value. I'm pretty sure this second economy is the one that set's the prices. It's almost like a gold-sink for crowns.
Anyway, no sale here. I have a price-value disconnect as I belong to the economy of the non-subscriber.

I have a price-value disconnect and I *am* a subscriber. I would spend so much more if prices were more reasonable - and i already spend a stupid amount. Housing items, for example, are ridiculously priced. Every time these $20, 30, $150 dollar fees for digital items comes out I find myself getting increasingly frustrated and resentful towards ZOS, who are surely making money hand over fist as it is.

I agree. ZOS should hire me to run their Crown Store because they are so clueless. If they were smart, they would price things for better value because i could easily spend $100 per month. But I refuse to pay rip-off "whale" prices!#CAREBEARMASTERRACE7 -

Aeslief✭✭✭✭✭The prices are getting a bit silly. It is literally just a recolor of an item that’s only a few months old. I’d have been interested in the pet but at 1500 crowns, just nope. IMO, pets should be 400-700 crowns, 1k tops if it is a brand-new model.11

Normally I don't care about Crown Store re-skins and costs (if you don't know by now that there will be a dark version of every light mount in the game, you are not paying attention) but I 100% agree on this one. We just got these. The bone dragon pet is actually my favorite in the entire game, and now I have to pay for an identical one that just allows him to be seen a little bit better? Come on, this isn't a re-skin, this is an improvement. If you're going to do this at least wait a year for the Dragon Bones anniversary or something. I'm pretty annoyed, too.
I also agree regarding the bandages on the back of the mount. I thought it was just me. I stopped using the mount because it looked so dumb from the back, which was extremely disappointing since you can't really preview the back and I liked it so much otherwise. The recolor helps at least minimize the "diaper" look but I am definitely not paying more for it.
Releasing this now was kind of in poor taste. Those of us who already got the Collector's Bundle should get it at no cost, or at least be given the opportunity to get it greatly discounted. These are not different enough to count as re-skins. Literally the glow on the dragon should be a toggle, not a new pet.
