LOL, this guy wants to balance classes around stupid proc sets.MLGProPlayer wrote: »Zaan's needs a lower cooldown and lower damage so that it isn't so bursty yet remains viable in PvE
Caluurion's is telegraphed AF soooooooooo... Yeah, that's on you
Not really. The best use of Caluurion I've seen (as with most proc sets) is by a mageblade, landing a Teleport Strike from Shadowy Disguise, followed up by an Incap.
Guaranteed proc of Caluurion on melee range, where the ball spawns practically inside you and has 0 travel time. Neither telegraphed nor easy to avoid. Unless your telling me the Cloak->Ambush->Incap combo is hard to land and very telegraphed.
That sounds like a problem with magblades rather than any particular set. You don't nerf a set that other classes might use because it might be OP on one class. You adjust the problem class.

Why didn't you walk away clearly a L2P issue
Also nice to see that from 24,477 damage 1983 damage are not related to an RNG proc
I don't see why people hate procs that much.
I love seeing different proc set effects go off and by that knowing what gear my opponent is wearing - it not only makes my own gear choices matter, but also my opponent's and adds so much more depth to the gameplay.
If everyone winds up wearing "stat sticks", you might as well remove gear entirely & have gameplay be "100% skill based" as you put it (i.e. people spamming same buttons over & over again with their infinite regens & big tooltip heals/shields until someone gets bored).
It was a sad day when Viper, Selene & co were nerfed, we're now stuck with mostly just infinite regen rollerblades & heavy armor tanks in PvP when it comes to stamina builds and I honestly can't say I like that better than the proc meta.

The damage was over-performing, especially when combining selene/veli with viper+Red Mountain. Damage proc sets should really never have been introduced because they are too hard to balance. The only decent one would probably be K'raghs. Everything else is either too strong or too delayed/weak.
Proc sets should really be utility based. SPC, Transmutation, Eternal Hunt are hardly ever/never complained about but still see good use. Dessert Rose saw maybe 1 nerf ever.
ZoS never experimented with a proc set limit (1 damage proc per build) so it's a shame really. If they did, Veli and Selene would probably have only needed a damage nerf to become balanced.

Right, so damage was over-performing - but now we're stuck with endless fights & megatanks that take no damage and are impossible to burst down.
Imho there's nothing more annoying than unkillable tank builds with infinite regen, just seeing those makes me want to close down the game and go play something more fast paced.
Luckily there's still a few ways left to play a fast paced build in this game (sadly none for melee stamblades after those proc set nerfs).

tbh the meta will be very annoying --> stam will be forced into alot tankier builds since dodgeroll focused builds instaexplode vs sorc with the CC through roll. --> yeah i know i will trigger a sorc defend train now.
Sorc is still boring to play - they dont need a broken CC more like some reactive gameplay features. Frag changes should be reverted - runecage changes aswell.
Give sorc some interestign defense and remove shieldstacking.

So what you are basically saying is that this meta is worse than the old meta therefore the old meta was good. There is no possibility of you know, both being bad?
I mean, i hate tanks too but its really common sense that something was very wrong when literally the worst player in the game could ambush you out of cloak and 15k damage would instantly explode in ur face because of his sets. Yeah, i wouldnt really call that "depth of gameplay". Its the exact opposite. You couldnt make the gameplay more brainless even if you tried.

Translation: Zaan (“that helmets”) is countered by dodge roll, you can clearly see the beam (“that line hook”) connect, get out of it then. It’s a L2P issue if you die to Zaan.
That’s at least what I could decipher.

What unkillable tank builds are there, anything even close loses a lot of damage, and can't even sustain it that well. I suppose you have stamdens, but even then tanks hardly exist, and if they do, they will be zerged instantly.
NBs who can't be ignored and keep bashing on you, but then run off to stealth to not be killed, is a lot worse than an immortal tank who can't be killed but does nothing to you and is always where you can see them. And unless they are a root/healbots Xv1ing you, they are useless.
