I wish I got a survey. Maybe ZOS sees us console players as inferior, I dunno.

This makes me wonder if ZOS will actually improve on the Crown Store and make prices more sensible. And maybe add cooler things. As long as people give similar responses to you OP, there is hope.

Everything about crafting needs to be redone. I have 16 single motifs to go and then i'll know all motifs, yet when i do writ my chances of getting a high value Master Writ are slim to none, maybe once a month for high value master writ=i don't wanna play this TOTALITARIAN GAME ANYMORE

I would really love to have gotten one of these. What a shame. They don't care one bit about us on consoles though.

I would be shocked if sales are not declining as more players became disillusioned with the rng involved with getting the item you want. I personally spent more in the crown store when I could directly buy the items I wanted. I purchased the crates once and felt it was a total waste of money

Usually you only send out surveys to a few people, to get a sample size of the population you wish to do research on.

Now in science research, you do this as randomly as possible, to avoid sampling bias and to ensure that your sample is representative. In marketing, however, they usually do this based on several criterion, sort of like a focus group. In this case, I would think that overall crown store spending and past purchases of crown store items, chapters, crates and other transactions would make you more eligible to receive a survey.

The irony is, whatever answers you give only further their agenda of consumer manipulation. If you are unhappy with the monetization of the game, they will just find a better way to mask it.

I hope I get one. I would LOVE to give them my opinion particularly with the recent announcement of crown crate exclusive motif pages, not even whole motifs and other things.

Sounds like everything is either a massive grind circumventable through the Crown Store (Jewelcrafting) or exclusively on the Crown Store nowadays. Housing stuff is also becoming disgustingly grindy, more so than in the past.

Everything is being slowly tied to real money purchase.

Honestly sort of questioning how much longer I plan to be here with this trend keeping up.

Further irony is that doing so would mean that they assume their playerbase is stupid. They have already made that mistake. Many of us see right through their slimy tactics.

    But does ZOS care?

I have a sneaking suspicion that a majority of the playerbase does not use the forums or simply does not care.

Then you need to complain more on forums, like we do. ;)

I wonder if they sent out the surveys completely at random, or if they selected people based on some criteria, such as prior spending in the cash shop. In that case, @Turelus should get his any time now

Hold on... before y'all get your torches and pitchforks, THINK... Are these OPTIONAL ITEMS or are they necessary to play the game? THANK YOU, ZOS, for the OPTION to display my vanity by spending money in the Crown store....

Most of the things I actually bought from crown store are OK for me. For some items I did a research first, based on what ppl post about them.

You may have the option to display your vanity.

You might just open the crown crates and end up with nothing but some meals and soul-gems. No real boosts to your vanity there.

Here-in lies a big part of the problem.

It is a marketing survey, but more broadly it is a customer satisfaction and feedback survey. They wanted to know you general happiness with the game, anything that might be driving you away, and how likely you are to recommend the game to others. They also ask for feedback of the things they sell in the store, what you buy and why you buy it. Do you want items to be exclusive, hard to get, or do you want frequent items listed, and are costs too high.

ZOS is not going to stop trying to make money, this is an opportunity to nudge them into a fairer consumer practice. For instance, it asked twice about the categories of items, what you have bought, and what you have considered buying. I marked just about everything but crown crates both times, and thats the honest truth.

Timing is also excellent, I made sure to mention displeasure with the release plans of the Maomer motif.

I wish I could get one to give the same sort of feedback. It's frustrating that the Crown Store is the one side of the game we're allowed zero contact with the people behind it.

Game design issue, Matt and Rich.

Does /feedback have a Crown Store section? I wonder how much traction /feedback and telling them we dislike motif pages in crates would actually gain.

Which is marketing. We are here because they market things well. They create good stories and lore we all get hyped about and buy their stuff. The story they create is all to create money.

If we want more lore, we need to buy more of their stuff. Its pretty basic. And you know what £20 a year is about the single cheapest hobby I have ever had. I hope that is in no way pretentious, as I know folks earn differing amounts, but....

ZOs dont put any major gameplay in crown store. All ZOs put is show off elements, which is fine.

But, I disagree for potions & assistants in crown-store. Potions and assistants should be removed from crown store. Especially potions in gamestore with serious shortage for alchemy reagants early in game forcing to buy crown supplies is completely not fair . ESO+ is little big too high price.

A lot of folks in my guild received the survey...I think it will goes pretty much how the community does.

Zenimax will look at what people are saying, then look at their profit margin, since they are making money hand over fist nothing will change and analytics will chalk it up to diametric Voting theory (in which a group publicly espouses one belief but votes another way.) and keep things status quo.

Not trying to "rain" on parades here...just have seen it happen time and again in cash shop business models.

Amazon sends out customer survey: People are happy that Amazon cares about their customers and value their feedback.

ZOS sends out customer survey: People are outraged that ZOS cares only about money, they don't care about their game or their customers.

Not sure where this double standard comes from.

.....Am I the only one here who is OK with the Crown Store?

As long as they don't put anything in there that gives a true advantage over other players (like, gear with stats), and remains strictly cosmetic/convenience, they can do whatever they like with it as far as I'm concerned.

The Crown Store supports the game, which I am happy with. If you don't like something, don't buy it then--- and if you don't, you're not at a disadvantage, except maybe in your mind. That's the beauty of it.
