    Well, I quit the game for a year because they introduced a cash shop. I did come back, but I've stayed a Sub the whole time and have never, ever bought a Crown. I've stated on this forum that Real-World money for In-Game ANYTHING is incompatible with good game design on multiple occasions in multiple threads.

    Somehow, I doubt I'm gonna get a survey.

    For the most part, when you play a mmo that only has a subscription there are constant updates, there use to be no store and you got all content free other than very big content additions.

    this sub is this game is utter crap and it is designed to get you to spend more money or give you perceived value. 1500 crowns you get means nothing to them because all you are going to do is use them to buy overpriced crap. if you dont like dungeons than for the most part a sub is useless since they are moving away from free content and getting you to pay.

    the only benefit is the extra space in bank and crafting bag.

    I really hope websites start picking up on all this crap and reporting on it because if Zos is smart they will change things fast because it will kill this games sales from now on.

    Knowing what i know now, i would never buy this game and support these crooked developers.

    Neverwinter does this thing where it displays a message onscreen and in chat when someone gets anything cool from one of their lockboxes. It is annoying as EFF and totally immersion breaking. If ZOS ever did something like that with crates and didn't give me the option of turning it off then im out.

    Its one of the main reasons I stop playing Neverwinter for long stretches.

      I'm a bit disappointed but not for the survey, which I just completed in full, but the lack of even tiny reward at the end. I shared so many private informations and not a single code generated for a free crown crate or something else to spend in game. I hoped for a little surprise but no, so next time I won't be participating.

      I got it as well. I find some of the questions encouraging.

      One thing I think they could have done better..On an upstream question I suggested I was somewhat likely to buy summerset. The next question was ...since you indicated you might purchase or pre-order...which was fine. The very next question was the issue. It asked to rank items on the pre-order. I never indicated I was in favor of pre-ordering. I think this will skew their results a bit. I wanted to rank it all zero. I feel the same way about pre-orders, collector's e editions, and crown crates. Not a big fan.

      The survey asked why I wouldn't recommend the game, I said "Crown Crates are from the Devil".

      But seriously, I will deal with the current lag. I will deal with the current DCing. The biggest part I hate are Crown Crates.

        Got the same survey yesterday. I made sure to mention I wont recommend this game to friends because of Crown Crates and huge Pop up ads in game. Also made sure to mention my feelings on motif chapters in Crown Crates and the grind that is Jewelry Crafting.

        Definitely was all geared to the Crown Store and not gameplay (as is ZOS' focus now).

        As long as they don't put anything in there that gives a true advantage over other players (like, gear with stats), and remains strictly cosmetic/convenience, they can do whatever they like with it as far as I'm concerned.

        The Crown Store supports the game, which I am happy with. If you don't like something, don't buy it then--- and if you don't, you're not at a disadvantage, except maybe in your mind. That's the beauty of it.

        I think you are missing at least some of the point. I personally don't care for the Crown $tore, I would like to earn all the things in the game by playing the game (achievements) or via in game gold. That is just me I am old school I guess. Other have said, as have I, that more and more things the could or should be obtained via the game are locked in the Crown $tore. Motifs by the page in crates, Dungeon Boss costume pieces (could/should have been dropped from the boss in say HM), housing items (both furniture and now with this patch construction pieces (walls, stairs, doorways, floors). Nearly every mount other than a horse is in the crown store, houses for $100-150, I could go on. If the Crown $tore has some things or if they are all obtainable via the game and the CS, buy to avoid the grind or play and get naturally I and I think many others wouldn't feel so strongly about their new/current direction.

        My problems with the crown store are:
        * Crown Crates
        * Limited time items
        * Ridiculously Priced items.

        The crown store may not be "Pay-to-win" in the sense that you can't buy weapons, it DOES sell consumables that can effect combat.

        It's also "Pay-to-win" in other aspects of gameplay. Want to be the best crafter? Well, you're going to want the crown-only motifs then. You want the best houses? Well, you're going to to want to buy the really cool houses in the crown store, or the furniture packs in the crown store. Oh, and the good ones? Yeah, they're limited edition. You want some daedric statues? You're gonna need to gamble on crown crates for that.

        And the prices of the houses are CRAZY. Who's betting the new Crown Store home they were showing on the Summerset stream is going to be five times the cost of the summerset DLC itself, and only available for one weekend?

        I support the game - I subscribe. I probably can afford the new house, because I haven't used my crowns in over a year. But I'm not supporting what I consider to be unethical practices. Unfortunately... that's most of the the things in the crown store...

        Absolutely ALL of this.I am fortunate that I have a pretty decent portion of expendable income to spend on entertainment and gaming is my entertainment of choice. I CAN buy all the things I want. But I won't simply because I don't like getting ripped off or being taken advantage of. It's also not fair to those folks who can't just buy everything they want for me to encourage bad and unethical behavior by a company. I realize many people will scoff when we say things like, "It's the principle of the thing," but... it really is.

        I personally don't mind the crown store. Was surprised to hear the best items in game are in there though?? Outside of some convenience shortcuts like mount books and inventory everything seems cosmetic? Am I missing something where I can buy powerful weapons/armor I'll need to do end game?

        They could just cut the crown store, cut the free2play and make the game purely sub based, as they intended at launch. Sounds like that would please most in this thread?

        No, you're not the only one who's ok with the crown store. I am, too. As long as it doesn't become P2W, I have no problem. No one is forced to buy the stuff.

        I did the survey yesterday and conveyed satisfaction on some questions and dissatisfaction on others. The real question is, "Will they listen?"

        You cannot buy any actual equipment in the crown store. I think when some people refer to the "best items" in the crown store they may just be referring to cool cosmetic items "best looking" furniture, homes and such.

        Exactly that. There should ALWAYS be an in-game gold option for ALL furnishings. That way it's up to the player....spend the time to make the gold or whip out the card to have it now. That's fair and supports all players.

        Did the same thing. Absolutely DESPISE gambling and aggressive sales in a game I already paid for AND have a subscription to. 90% of the Crown Store should be in-game content.

        To make another note on gambling. I really am superbly against gambling. Many young minds (and weak minds) play these games and are susceptible to gambling. I think it goes without saying that companies, ZOS included, know this and aggressively try to make money from it. I think that is highly immoral and should possibly be law restricted. I come from a family of gamblers and yes I can tell you first hand that it's purely ignorant to make any argument that suggests a gambler has the ability to decide not to gamble. In order to trust the stores policies on selling gambling to its customers. They really DO NOT. I hope for the best in the future.

        Please don't cite such things without any basis of evidence. I bought crowns in the last 6 months (and not just a few) and I did not get a survey. For all we know they may be sending them out in waves. Or, perhaps they are just a random sampling. After all, we know ZOS loves RNG. :trollface:
