Eh... not so sure about that. Prior to the start of the anniversary event prices for Gold Coast and Hew's Bane Motifs were still much lower than they had been prior to the TG/DB anniversary event, and that was significantly less disruptive to the economy. By the time this event ends we'll have a little over a month before Summerset drops for PC and about a month an a half before it drops for consoles, and I rather doubt the prices will be even remotely back to where they were before the event by then.

I bet they adjust the drop rates. Im keeping track of this and day 1-5 i had 20-30% drop rate. Day 6 was about 18%. Day 7 was 15% and so far today was about 15%. So far its looking like the drop rate is decreasing every few days.

I've noticed this as well. Guess I need to step up on doing more dailies.

This is what happens when a certain portion of the game's population (the hoarding/speculating/profiteering cabal) takes things a little too seriously. This motif flood based reset was inevitable after the opportunistic behaviour exhibited following the release of the outfit system. Prices were rocketing out of reach of all but the most dedicated players, and Zos wants everyone to at least feel like they have a chance to get the things they want.

With this event they're simply reminding this group that this is not a true 'free market', for better or worse. Not saying I agree or disagree with the move but it's interesting to watch.

If motifs are currency, and they kind of are these days, then welcome to fiat land, at least for a while.

This gives me more time to buy cheap motifs then flip them for twice their worth. Right now worm cult on xb seems to be going for 50-75k after this event ends and new players join that same motif that they have no way to get will be double to triple the price. I'm saving them All!

I started selling motifs as soon as the event started, and I've made nearly 1 million gold from doing so.

If you price things competitively, there's no way not to profit.

Also, we don't even have the Dragon Bones motifs available to farm yet; Fang Lair motifs and Dragon Priest motifs are where the real gold is going to come from not too long from now (at least, for those who can complete the dungeons on hard mode).

You have 50% percent of your selling market at a 50-70% discount. That is going to take major time to bleed thru the selling system.

Didn't realise that trading in this game was such serious business.
If you care this much about the economy in a game you really should look at your priorities.
Of course it's ZOS's fault though because "reasons"
Take a good look at yourself and maybe step away from the game if it annoys you so much.

how many accounts do you have and how many platforms ?

how do you have so much time to play with all of them during a day ?

More motifs for more people is good. Gives people the opportunity to enjoy outfitting without forking over all their gold to you.
Nobody wants to buy your 60k motifs, so just deal with it.

Good thing the event is extended by a week, lets wreck these insane motif prices some more.

That's minimum four accounts, more realistically five or six.

As for the second question I'd imagine if OP made millions in RL like they say they could hire some people to just play the game for them.

Wonder why you would want to have a work force making gold for you in an MMO though...

What nonsense. Sure the motor market takes a hit, but the sales of then are through the roof, the same people making gold before have had chance to make huge money during this event. It all balances out, people have gained rather than lost.

And next doc the new motifs will be top dollar again. It all works out.

The npc bank won’t pay you interest no matter how much non real gold you have

Pretty much now is the best time to buy and then sell later when every thing dies down and the rarer motif's becomes even rarer. The worm cult wont be around to probably next year or in the crown store later this year maybe.

a very large chunk of this game's population plays it DESPITE guild trader system and its junkiness. so I'm having very VERY hard time feeling sorry for you, OP, given how many people, thanks to this event will be able to have much wider style selection to create outfits with, among other things. booohoo, you wont be making as much gold as you are used to, meanwhile community is having a grand time of actualy having shinies accessible to them for once.
