ZOS , you have set the economy back 6 months

With the extension of the event right after a previous event that ZOS has turned over 50% of the marketplace into hollowjack motifs.

You have 50% percent of your selling market at a 50-70% discount. That is going to take major time to bleed thru the selling system.

I do not want to turn this into a bashing thread but @ZOS your server issues will cost me millions of dollars over a lousy motif.
Since the players who complained they couldn’t farm and you have given them a MASSIVE we are sorry gift .Then I feel I should be compensated the millions in gold this will cost me.

    Nothing escapes the Nerf Bat.

    The Economy was Over-performing. :p

But in all seriousness, the amount of players who play the marketing game and buying low/selling high is marginal in comparison to the rest of the player-base. I highly doubt any action will be taken, especially since this game isn't advertised as a marketing simulator.. Besides, what do you want them to do, give gold to players who have a specific gold/month ratio?

Just roleplay that this was an unexpected advancement in technology that allows for cheaper supply creation. 'Cept that it only happens every so often.

Well, you still have some motif outlets that aren’t in the anniversary boxes:

    - Ra Gada
    - Ebony
    - Militant Ordinator

I dont understand what the problem is?If your talking about motifs flooding the market, when the event ends people will start buying those up to complete sets. The market will be back to normal before summerset drops at the latest.

With out the Trader system you would see this games population plummet that’s a FACT. So yes the marketing game is The Largest part of this game.

I have no idea what the OP is even talking about. The new Worm Cult motif is going UP in value. I sold a chest motif page for 200K within hours and could have asked for more. I suspect some people will make a killing by retaining Worm Cult motifs until after the event.

Other stuff is going down in price, but I'm farming lots of things in the 5K to 20K range. Never made gold this easily and my crafter is completing motifs that I always found too expensive to bother with. What's not to like?

Eh... not so sure about that. Prior to the start of the anniversary event prices for Gold Coast and Hew's Bane Motifs were still much lower than they had been prior to the TG/DB anniversary event, and that was significantly less disruptive to the economy. By the time this event ends we'll have a little over a month before Summerset drops for PC and about a month an a half before it drops for consoles, and I rather doubt the prices will be even remotely back to where they were before the event by then.

lol, I sincerely doubt it, and no it's not. People would keep playing with or without the guild trader system. While it clearly matters a lot to you (me too - I put a fair amount of time and effort into my trade guilds), I would bet you real-world money that "how well the in-game economy is doing for people trying to make money off of it" would rank near the bottom of most people's concerns about the game if they were asked.

    Good.

I've made a pretty penny off of farming motifs in the last year, largely because drop rates are ludicrous. So I'll lose income, too. But Bubbles burst in any economy, and that's for the best.

Just be glad you don't have an investment portfolio to lose.

Thank You Ordo you actually get what I’m trying to say. Also thank you for reminding me about the Gold Coast event.
We have actually had 3 events in a short time. It effects the economy.
THIS IS THE POINT IM TRYING TO MAKE.

Oh dear, the 1% of the players who use this game's awful trading system to have 99% of the game's wealth are going to lose a tiny bit of profit for the next few weeks, please ZOS fix this right away.

This is a good thing for almost everyone in the game, it's one of the rare times most of these players will be able to get rare motifs and such at all. That is slightly screws up the money making for players who as you say make 'millions of gold a week' when most players will never break 100k... it's kinda like when the ultra rich whine about a tax increase meaning they might have to buy 4 instead of 5 yachts this year; I'm sure it's a big inconvenience to them.

Seriously! If this actually impacted us financially with our investments then, yeah, adios. But...it's game money. And the guy already said he makes millions a week flipping items. Sounds more like an obsession.

Worm Cult is in, other stuff is out. Make room for the spring collection - farm, farm, farm - and you'll still make a killing.

And no one even loses anything. They just don't gain as much as they had.

It's not like SWG, where your house had an upkeep cost. Making less doesn't equate to losing anything in the economy of this game.

Frankly, if you really are so good at flipping items, why aren't you spending your millions on buying all the motifs on the market right now knowing full well in two months all their prices are going to skyrocket? You shouldn't be complaining, you should be praising them for this. But, you'd know that if you actually did know how to play the market, that you don't pretty much throws everything you've said in this thread out the window OP.

I bet they adjust the drop rates. Im keeping track of this and day 1-5 i had 20-30% drop rate. Day 6 was about 18%. Day 7 was 15% and so far today was about 15%. So far its looking like the drop rate is decreasing every few days.

Personally, I find purely flipping items a rather scummy practice. You aint going to use the item, but are making it more expensive for someone who will use it. Especially if the money is then hoarded and not circulated through the economy again via ever changing avenues.

wow talk about looking for something to use to insult someone about, we have all referred to gold as money its no big deal grow up haters lol AND he has a point. Its a LOT of flooding going on you cant argue against it but i do think it helps more people then it hurts as now people with less gold (cause they have a life and work for a living and cant farm all day) to finish sets

but yeah insult the guy for saying money when it is in fact game money.
