Earlier today I was happi9ly playing around kicking ass in some dungeon when I got a message "Booted from server", that's weird I though, but figured it was just a server hickup or something.

since then I have now not been able to log into the game,I get a "login error" popup box with the error "Your login information was incorrect, Please try again." yeah I have, several time for the last couple of hours. same error. and my USERID is correct, my password is correct, I even logged into my account on the site with the same password to make sure nothing had happened...

what's going on here ?

    Lot's of people having similar issues. Just wait for them to fix it, don't bother sending in a support request ticket, they reply with a useless automated message and it's a waste of time.

    Dude, same exact thing happened to me. From the "booted from server" to "Your login info is wrong, blah blah blah" Its complete bogus how we pre-order because ZeniMax hyped up the Early Access shenanigans and I bet thousands of users are all banging their heads on the wall (just like I am). I sent in a EMAIL and PHONE request at least 5 hours ago with no answer, so I'm starting to wonder if the customer support really care about any of this. Its terrible because its nothing that we did and we pretty much pre-ordered for nothing. We should definitely get compensated, but I highly doubt that will happen.

    Wait till you see their "customer service" solution to this problem from what I have been reading:
    "Have you made sure your using the user ID ingame? Due to large volumes of logins sometimes some players cant connect in-game and they need to wait for a while before they try to connect again."
    plus
    "We will assume your issue has been resolved"

    What a joke!!! You see thousands of people having the same issue. DOHHHHH!!! There's a problem guys! Tend to it already

    I just got this as well. I'm really supposed to be sleeping anyway, as I have to work in 4 and a half hours. Guess this is just their way of saying "Hey, you need to be sleeping. No game for you."

    Blizzard always did maintenance on Tuesday mornings, because that was the time when the fewest people were on...maybe Zenimax decided on the same. Anyone that things ESO won't need regular (at least weekly) maintenance is deluding themselves.

    I should note that I'm also unable to access the account page on the website...(not a password problem, it's just timing out and not loading).

    It's not maintenance, my friend whom I level with can log on fine..

    Nope, they already posted that schedule. Europe has it on Tuesdays and Sundays, but Americans (MEME!) has it on Wednesdays and Sundays.

    I'm playing on North American servers - no maintenance and yet same problem as a lot of other user's also complaining about the exact same problem.

    Um ok this is weird. I figured out the problem. My user ID was changed. I had put in a request a couple of days ago to change my username. They sent me an email requesting some information, I replied to it. Haven't gotten a response back, but I guess they went ahead and changed it for me. Mystery solved, I can log in now.

    They need a way to view tickets you have submitted on the website so you can check the status of things like this.

    This is way too many people to not get any formal response from Bethesda. Anyone pondering whether they'll pay for the subscription will be leaning towards a "No" at this rate.

    I'm leaning towards a refund or calling up my bank and reporting this transaction as a fraud because it pretty much is at this point.

    What insanity is this???

    And TWO maintenances a week, I've never seen any MMO need that!

    It's launch day for the people who preordered it. They advertised and hyped it for months. Preorder Imperial set and get a 5 day head start.     Account information errors shouldn't be related to mass login's server queuing exists for that. This is because of some other account related error.

    In most cases, the "Login Error" message appears when players identify themselves by their e-mail addresses instead of their UserIDs. Players should use their UserID to confirm their identity as the account owner instead of their e-mail address.
    If they are not sure what their UserID is, they should visit https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/. On this page, click on the "Forgot UserID" link and follow the directions to have their UserID sent to them

    You got to be kidding me? That is the "technical support" that you just gave me. Can you guys stop giving half ass answers and fix this problem that everyone is having. OF COURSE I USED MY USER ID. I was playing the game and then got booted. Why the hell would i use my email address? STATUS: SOLVED?! STATUS:UNSOLVED till I can log in or get a full refund. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

    Just look at what this tech person said "I hope this Helps", "Thank You!!1", and then proceeded to copy something straight out of a book. It's like their having a second grader doing the job. That's it. I'm fed up. I'm done with this game. I'm calling my bank to dispute the charge.

    Well, I wrote a long email to them asking to speak to their manager and they respond to me like this
    "Helping you is our passion!

    We will assume your issue has been resolved if we do not hear from you within 120 days.

    We look forward to working with you again should you need us!"

    idk about you peeps but I cant even use the ESO website. all I get is "404 page not found"......
    I know start ups on mmo's are tedious but didn't we beta so they could fix all of this crap?
    but hey at least they emailed me to let me know I got my first comment badge, that was nice of them

    This error is occurring due to the large volume of logins. The issue should be resolved relatively soon. We recommend attempting to log in to the game again after a period of around 10 minutes.

    They ain't looking into actual account issues..

    If it was busy we would see random people being booted / no logging in.

    They won't help us on the issue. Just an automated cut and paste.

    Been trying to get to the server for 5 hours now.
    I know what login lag / busy is like. It takes 30 or secs to come back with a response.

    This is instant. I am getting pissed off with the cut and paste response. They will be getting a ticket from me regular until they fix it.

    to be honest its just plain insulting, I have been playing MMO's for years and I know BS when I see it. they should know that most of us are gaming veterans, I guess they assume they already have our money so what can we really do about it?

    the beta session ? I was no in a beta session I was in the 5 day head start. which promptly stopped working at about the time the 3 day head start people where supposed to get access then I got booted from the server 7!!!! effin hours ago

    I even did a forgot userid just now to make sure they hadn't messed up my userid. nope. my userid is correct. and I can still log into the website with it.

    of course it's still not being recognized by the game. 7 hours after I got booted from server. that's a full day of not being able to play and a customer support who don't care.
