Well, people with dual wield and 1-hand and shield will have no problem with this. Maybe not bow builds either.
Just looking at the size of the hat makes it plain to see that it will clip with some things worn on the back.
Personally I'm all for ZOS going in new directions with their cosmestics, and then leave it up to the /player/ to avoid the worst clipping, rather than having all their costumes and cosmetics not clip 100 % with any and all setups.
There's a preview function for a reason, so you can see how it will look on your particular character, if it clips too bad, then don't buy it, or don't use it on that character.
If you want them to release stuff that will absolutely not clip with anything, then we won't get any new designs, just rehashes of the same old stuff.

Where is the new design that tilts my greatsword to the side more so that it doesn't clip with the hat?
I did not preview because it's 500 crowns and I wasn't arsed about the price. Will not even be asking for a refund if nothing ever gets done about it because that is not the issue.
I just don't understand your logic however. You want them to create costumes with clipping issues? This doesn't make sense to me.

Ok, let me type it out for the third time. It may clip on YOUR particularly setup, that does not mean it will clip on MY particular setup. Now, should ZOS make designs that might look great on some setups and might clip on other's setups, or should they make designs that absolutely do not clip on ANYONE'S setups?
Considering the vast varieties of body and facial shapes in ESO, as well as different armor weights and weapons setups, some clipping on some costumes and setups is to be EXPECTED.
Does it suck if it clips badly on your particular setup? Sure. Hence the preview function.

Dual Wield, fixed!

You could also equip a staff and use /sitchair and then think about real world physics. Clipping issues have always been in the game sadly, but I can understand it’s even more annoying with crown store items.

It looks terrible! How do you design a costume and put it for sale without testing it out? It would've taken you all of 2 minutes to see this problem. It's just truly amazing that y'all continue to release broken products into an already broken product.
Where is your sense of pride? Or do you just not care? Not caring is the only explanation I can think of if this costume was allowed to pass quality control.

ZOS has a smaller sword they will sell you.....just sayin'
...aaand that's why I stopped buying costumes before someone posts a feedback about it on forums (clipping and dyeing issues etc) so I can save my crowns from spending them on low quality products.
Anyway, it really sucks because I play magicka character. Could you upload a screenshot how it looks with staff equipped? I can't launch the game now.

there's gonna be a hat like that through a cornw store motif- tsaesci
dunno when it will launch
though um
what kind of fix do you propose
IRL if you wore that kinda hat and a sword of that size your hat just would not fit

How would you avoid the clipping in this case? Make the hat smaller? Tilt the hat up? Tilt my staff to the side? I'm not a fan of any of these solutions.
Maybe I'll purchase it one day, and just hide the hat. Or just use it on my dual wield character.

Make it to where my weapon is tilted more, Or just don't release it at all. The 2nd option would've been my preferred choice at this point.
Can't even use it on my dw character because bow back bar
