Where is the Quality Control? (New Costume)

Just purchased the Budi-Shirt and Galligaskins costume from the crown store and I put it on my newly made level 3 character and his cast-off greatsword or whatever goes and stick right up through the had of the costume! It looks terrible! How do you design a costume and put it for sale without testing it out? It would've taken you all of 2 minutes to see this problem. It's just truly amazing that y'all continue to release broken products into an already broken product.

Where is your sense of pride? Or do you just not care? Not caring is the only explanation I can think of if this costume was allowed to pass quality control.

Well, people with dual wield and 1-hand and shield will have no problem with this. Maybe not bow builds either.

Just looking at the size of the hat makes it plain to see that it will clip with some things worn on the back.

Personally I'm all for ZOS going in new directions with their cosmestics, and then leave it up to the /player/ to avoid the worst clipping, rather than having all their costumes and cosmetics not clip 100 % with any and all setups.

There's a preview function for a reason, so you can see how it will look on your particular character, if it clips too bad, then don't buy it, or don't use it on that character.

If you want them to release stuff that will absolutely not clip with anything, then we won't get any new designs, just rehashes of the same old stuff.

Where is the new design that tilts my greatsword to the side more so that it doesn't clip with the hat?

I did not preview because it's 500 crowns and I wasn't arsed about the price. Will not even be asking for a refund if nothing ever gets done about it because that is not the issue.

I just don't understand your logic however. You want them to create costumes with clipping issues? This doesn't make sense to me.

Ok, let me type it out for the third time. It may clip on YOUR particularly setup, that does not mean it will clip on MY particular setup. Now, should ZOS make designs that might look great on some setups and might clip on other's setups, or should they make designs that absolutely do not clip on ANYONE'S setups?

Considering the vast varieties of body and facial shapes in ESO, as well as different armor weights and weapons setups, some clipping on some costumes and setups is to be EXPECTED.

Does it suck if it clips badly on your particular setup? Sure. Hence the preview function.

And this is what I think they should do, and this is probably why we disagree then.

    Not fixed.

Just tried it on my dual wield character who also has to use a bow because PvE DPS. The bow clips too.

So the only builds that can use this without clipping are double s&b or double dual wield or dw and s&b

You could also equip a staff and use /sitchair and then think about real world physics. Clipping issues have always been in the game sadly, but I can understand it’s even more annoying with crown store items.

What's annoying is that when I sit in a chair with my bow equipped, my actual bow disappears but my quiver stays on my body and clips....

So someone actually went through the trouble of making 1 disappear but not the other.

I just can't even with this game sometimes.

I was able to get my crowns back for a costume I bought (the fancy Nord robe) that dyed absolutely terribly. Put in a ticket. They aren't going to fix any costumes ever, the "holes" in the Nocturnal robe are still there as far as I know and I don't believe they have ever made any changes to a costume based on player feedback. So, the best you can do is reject a bad costume and demand your crowns back.

While I agree that the clipping sucks (I use hide helmet on everything), there are still major issues with armor clipping.

Apparently my tassets have sword holes, because swords go right through them. Shields are apparently porus because my head goes through everything that comes near it (no hard headed jokes! :P )

    So yeah, annoying.

Anyway, it really sucks because I play magicka character. Could you upload a screenshot how it looks with staff equipped? I can't launch the game now.

I kinda expected the trim not to dye, but the belt? Ugh. I don't want to bother with Customer Service for a refund, it will take 3-4 tries to get to a person who actually reads and doesn't just tell me "sorry you bought it go away."

well i have to admit, if i would count down all the clipping problems of my female chars with costumes, especially on my tank with the shield.... actually i already resigned. zos isnt enhancing sold costumes anymore, sadly. there are some really old costumes still bugged as hell, as example the black wedding costumes on the arms when chars sitz on crafting bench. :(

I want either my sword to be tilted to the side more or I don't want it to be in the game period. When I saw the costume in the crownstore preview I got really excited for the hat. I bought it and now I'm disappointed. If it clips and looks like **** don't put it in the game period and get my hopes up.

I loved the look of this costume, but I did actually preview it. I saw that it clipped horribly with my lightning staff, so I didn't purchase it.

How would you avoid the clipping in this case? Make the hat smaller? Tilt the hat up? Tilt my staff to the side? I'm not a fan of any of these solutions.

Maybe I'll purchase it one day, and just hide the hat. Or just use it on my dual wield character.

This made me lol. If you haven’t noticed, Zeni doesn’t really care. Look at the Breton hero costume and the Noctururnal costume (and the $100 houses for sale). When it comes to this stuff, all they care about is their paycheck.

"Just tilt it more" is not a viable solution. It means that either wepons will have to be tilted in general or a full second set of animations will have to be developed. So yeah, either a clipping costume (and some people might be ok with that) or no costume at all.
