How to Fix Unknown Errors - Dev Response Needed
The "unknown errors" that boot you when you try to retrieve character data can be caused by firewalls at college campuses and presumably other places where a lot of people use the same connection. There is a fix - but you'll need a couple things.
First, you need to know which ports ESO uses. ZOS will have to respond with this information before you can do anything.
Second, contact your tech department and request assistance. If you give them the ports (and probably your computer's IP address) they can tell the firewalls to let ESO go through.
But first we need the ports. So if you have this problem, please bump the thread so the devs can tell us which ports we need.
